A curtain airbag is folded and stored in an upper portion of a vehicle body under normal circumstances, and is inflated and expanded along a side window in emergency situations. The curtain airbag includes a front chamber to be inflated and expanded along the side window of a front seat of the vehicle body; a first gas supply port to supply gas to the front chamber, the first gas supply port being disposed at an upper portion of the front chamber; a sub-chamber smaller than the front chamber and disposed above the front chamber; and a second gas supply port disposed rearward of the sub-chamber, and communicated with and narrower than the first gas supply port. The sub-chamber is stored in a state of being folded on a front surface of the front chamber on a vehicle interior side at a portion of the second gas supply port.

A barrier assembly for a vehicle can include a flexible panel member such as a net, flexible plastic screen, or other barrier device for extending across at least a portion of a vehicle opening defining a space such as a window or doorway. A strap may extend along at least a portion of a perimeter of the flexible panel. A stiffener may be joined to the strap for adding rigidity to the strap to allow grasping of the barrier at the strap for moving the barrier. The stiffener may have an enclosed shape, such as a substantial triangular shape and may be joined to an interior of the strap at a location containing a connector for connecting the barrier to the vehicle.

BODY-MOUNTED AIRBAG ABOVE DOOR OPENING

A vehicle includes a first pillar and a second pillar spaced along a vehicle-longitudinal axis. The first pillar and the second pillar define a door opening therebetween. An airbag is above the door opening in an uninflated position and is inflatable across the door opening to an inflated position. A cable is above the door opening when the airbag is in the uninflated position. The cable extends across the door opening from the first pillar to the second pillar when the airbag is in the inflated position. A pyrotechnic retractor is below the airbag and the cable when the airbag is in the uninflated position. The pyrotechnic retractor is connected to the cable.

Body-mounted airbag above door opening

A vehicle includes a first pillar and a second pillar spaced along a vehicle-longitudinal axis. The first pillar and the second pillar define a door opening therebetween. An airbag is above the door opening in an uninflated position and is inflatable across the door opening to an inflated position. A cable is above the door opening when the airbag is in the uninflated position. The cable extends across the door opening from the first pillar to the second pillar when the airbag is in the inflated position. A pyrotechnic retractor is below the airbag and the cable when the airbag is in the uninflated position. The pyrotechnic retractor is connected to the cable.

A ride vehicle for an amusement park includes a restraint system. The restraint system includes a first conformable component configured to be disposed over a first lower portion of a guest's body. The restraint system further includes a behind-the-knee component configured to be disposed behind a leg of the guest. The restraint system additionally includes a linkage mechanism configured to move the first conformable component, the behind-the-knee component, or a combination thereof, to secure the restraint system to the guest.

A door barrier assembly for a vehicle can include a flexible barrier member such as a net, flexible plastic screen, or other barrier device located within an opening in the vehicle frame. The vehicle frame can include a front pillar member connected to a longitudinally extending roll cage member that extends in a longitudinal rearward direction of the vehicle from a top end of the front pillar member. The front pillar member can also be connected to a transverse roll cage member. The flexible barrier member can include an upper forward portion and a connector at the upper forward portion releasably attached to one of the transverse roll cage member and the longitudinally extending roll cage member at a location between the front pillar member and the longitudinally extending roll cage member.

A vehicle window structure for preventing a person from being thrown out, applied to a vehicle, includes a fixing frame. An inner frame surface of the fixing frame is provided with a plurality of fixing portions spaced apart from each other. An arresting net includes at least one plastic rope fixedly connected to the fixing portions in an interlaced manner. The fixing frame is provided with a light-permeable unit that is mounted and fixed within the inner frame surface and covers the arresting net. When the vehicle has an accidental rollover unfortunately, even if the light-permeable unit is damaged or the fixing frame is deformed during the overturning of the vehicle, the arresting net is still able to arrest the user effectively because the arresting net is directly fixed to the fixing frame, thereby preventing the user from being thrown out of the vehicle.
