Exercise device utilizing body weight for resistance
An exercise device which includes a first and second lever pivotally attached to a frame and pivotally interconnected by a connecting rod. A first arm is pivotally connected to the frame and a second arm is pivotally connected to the ends of the first arm and the second lever opposite the ends connected to the frame. The second arm includes a seat for the user, whose body weight provides a resistance to rotation of the free end of the first lever. In one embodiment a slide assembly is engaged with the second lever to selectively vary the resistance to rotation of the first lever.
Exercise Machine Resistance Adjustment System
An exercise machine resistance adjustment system for providing an exerciser the ability to immediately adjust the resistance force by changing their body position on the movable carriage or end platforms. The exercise machine resistance adjustment system generally includes a frame, a carriage movably positioned on the frame, a spring connected to the carriage to apply a biasing force to the carriage, one or more left projections within the carriage adapted for a left hand of an exerciser to grasp, and one or more right projections within the carriage adapted for a right hand of an exerciser to grasp. The exerciser is able to efficiently adjust the amount of resistance force applied to the carriage by repositioning their hands (or feet) from a first set of projections at a first distance to a second set of projections at a second distance from the first end of the exercise machine.
Apparatus for exercising the muscles
An apparatus for exercising the muscles, comprising a power arm having actuating elements at one end area, and where the other end of the power arm is pivotally connected to a holding element through a first hinge. The apparatus further comprises a spring element, wherein one end of the spring element is linked to the power arm at a first articulation point, and a second end of the spring element is linked to the holding element through a second articulation point. A support is further included which lies on an imaginary plane defined by an x-axis and a y-axis. The holding element is connected to the support by a rotary hinge which allows the holding element to rotate with respect to the support about a shaft which lies on an axis that is normal to the imaginary plane.
Conditioning Rope with Exchange Handle
An exchangeable handle system for use with a conditioning rope comprises a conditioning rope, handle connector and a handle attachment. In accordance therewith, the handle attachment may be interchanged and/or replaced on the handle connector by a user thereof.
AN ADJUSTMENT DEVICE FOR EXERCISE APPARATUSES
The present invention relates to an adjustment device for exercise apparatuses, which comprises a flange (4), a coupling body (6) coupled to said flange (4) by means of a pressure bar (61d), adjustment protrusion (6e) and pressure pin (6g), a coupling ring (5) through which the coupling body (6) is passed, a vertical arm (8) connected to said coupling body (6) so as to be adjusted in the back and forth direction and rotationally, and a coupling arm (9) connected to said vertical arm (8).
Multi-axis adjustable exercise machine
A multi-axis adjustable exercise machine which is pivotable about both a pitch axis and a roll axis with respect to a base for allowing an exerciser to perform a wide range of exercises on a pitched or rolled exercise machine. The multi-axis adjustable exercise machine generally includes an exercise machine which is adjustable with respect to a base. The exercise machine may be pivoted about a roll axis to adjust the roll angle of the exercise machine or may be pivoted about a pitch axis to adjust the pitch angle of the exercise machine. One or more actuators may be connected between the base and the exercise machine to effectuate the pivoting of the exercise machine about either or both axes with respect to the base.
Rehabilitation machine and apparatus
An apparatus for providing therapeutic rehabilitation exercise to bedridden individuals and patients, including comatose individuals. A vertical support column extends upwards from a base, with one or more arms extend from the vertical support column, each providing a rotary mechanism at the distal end, with pedals or handles attached thereto. The individual's feet or hands are secured to the pedals or handles, respectively. Straps, brackets, or other fastening means may be used to secure the feet and hands. An electric motor causes the rotary mechanism to move the pedals or handles in a rotary fashion, thereby providing movement and exercise for the individual's legs and arms.
Surfboard Paddling Exercise Apparatus
The invention is an exercise apparatus providing an advanced level of surfboard paddling simulation and muscle development. The design includes a specialized platform, unique hand harnesses, and cable systems with mechanical advantage and mass moment of inertia mechanisms, piston pumps, cable spools, and elastic elements. They allow the user to simulate paddling in an alternating or simultaneous sequence at any speed while strong elastic tension resists the user's thrust strokes, but during paddling return strokes the user feels no elastic tension or resistance. The design also prompts the user to engage and strengthen all dorsal muscles to maintain an appropriately arched body position while paddling.
Multi-modal gait-based non-invasive therapy platform
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a knee-position control system having a knee engagement pad, a lower-leg control member and an upper-leg control member, the knee engagement pad configured to naturally position a user's knee in response to movement of a foot-rest of a natural-gait therapy system. In an illustrative embodiment, the upper-leg control member may pivot about a point substantially axially coincident with a user's hip. In some embodiments, the upper-leg control member may be pivotally coupled to the lower-leg control member at a pivot point substantially axially coincident with a user's knee. The lower-leg control member may be pivotably coupled to the foot rest at a pivot point substantially axially coincident with a user's ankle. The knee-position control system may advantageously position a user's knee in a natural position relative to both the user's ankle and the user's hip, in response to movement of the user's foot.
