Aircraft restraint systems with fixed default mode
A modal restraint system for an occupant of a seat of an aircraft includes a strap feeder unit and a strap selectively retractable into and extendable from the strap feeder unit. The strap is positionable adjacent to the occupant so as to dispose the occupant between the strap and the seat. The strap feeder unit is adapted to switch between a plurality of modes including a fixed mode and an unfixed mode. The strap is substantially unextendable from the strap feeder unit in the fixed mode. The strap is extendable from and retractable into the strap feeder unit in the unfixed mode. The strap feeder unit is in the fixed mode by default. The strap feeder unit is operable to switch to the unfixed mode in response to a user input, thereby increasing freedom of movement of the occupant relative to the seat of the aircraft.
RETRACTOR RESTRAINT SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS, SUCH AS FOR SECURING WHEELCHAIRS IN VEHICLES
A retractor restraint system is provided for securing wheelchairs and/or people in vehicles. The system includes a housing, a retractor reel mounted to the housing rotatably in a positive and a negative direction of rotation for receiving a belt which can be coupled to a wheelchair, an arresting unit for arresting the reel to prevent rotation in the negative direction of rotation in an operating state of the retractor restraint system, a clamping unit arranged at the housing for releasably clamping fast the belt unwound from the reel, and a triggering mechanism for actuation of the clamping unit. The triggering mechanism is coupled to the arresting unit and the reel in such a way that the clamping unit is actuated when a torque acts on the reel in the negative direction of rotation and the reel is arrested by the arresting unit.
SEAT BELT RETRACTOR
A seat belt retractor including a spool and a measurement mechanism for determining a measure of the amount of seat belt webbing unwound from the spool. The measurement mechanism includes cycloidal gear transmission. A sensor is provided for detecting movement of a magnet mounted on a sensing gear and a controller may be provided for determining a measure indicating the amount of rotation of the spool and the amount of webbing withdrawal based on the movement of the magnet.
Safety belt retractor and safety belt assembly
The present invention relates to a safety belt retractor, including a bracket, a spool, a locking device, a vehicle sensing device with an adaptive vehicle sensing function and a vehicle sensing adaptivity suppression device. The vehicle sensing adaptivity suppression device includes a driven part (8) and a suppression part (7) that can be held on the driven part by an adhesive force. The driven part has a sliding track, and the suppression part has a sliding portion which can slide on the sliding track against the adhesive force. The suppression part has a retainer, and a sensing seat has a counter retainer that cooperates with the retainer. A retaining connection isn't formed when the suppression part is in the first end position, and is formed when the suppression part leaves away from the first end position to a predetermined extent. Here, the mechanism for achieving the vehicle sensing adaptivity suppression function is simple in structure and low in cost, and can effectively suppress the adaptivity of the vehicle sensing function. The present invention further relates to a safety belt assembly comprising such a safety belt assembly.

Direct locking retractor assembly for a seatbelt system and a method for actuating the same
A seatbelt system comprising a buckle; a spool with a ratchet wheel and webbing that is windable onto or off of the spool as the spool rotates. A control mechanism is operatively engaged with a pawl located proximate the ratchet wheel. When the control mechanism is in a first condition, the pawl is disengaged from the ratchet wheel and the ratchet wheel and spool are rotatable to wind the webbing onto or off of the spool. When the control mechanism is in a second condition, the pawl is moved into engagement with the ratchet wheel and the ratchet wheel and spool are only able to rotate the webbing onto the spool. The control mechanism includes a button that has to be pushed by a user after the seatbelt is engaged with the buckle in order to move the pawl into engagement with the ratchet wheel.

Device for supporting and securing scooters and derived vehicles
The disclosure relates to a supporting and securing device that is fixed to a scooter-like vehicle or similar by means of a gripping mechanism to secure and grip a user of the vehicle. The device includes a mechanism configured to roll up and lock a belt that surrounds the user, securing and supporting him or her and surrounding a part of his or her back. The mechanism automatically adjusts to the user's position and includes a pressing assembly that allows the length of the unwound belt to be fixed, and a coupling element that connects to a main case. The disclosure also relates to the vehicle including the described device. The disclosure falls within the technical field of parts of vehicles, more specifically vehicle safety belts or harnesses or ease of use while driving.
