Autonomous driving vehicle and driverless transportation system
When an autonomous driving vehicle picks a user up, a control device performs departure condition confirmation processing. The departure condition confirmation processing includes first authentication processing that performs authentication of the user outside the autonomous driving vehicle based on first authentication information, door lock release processing that releases a door lock in response to the completion of the first authentication processing, second authentication information provision processing that makes the user acquire second authentication information different from the first authentication information in response to the completion of the first authentication processing, second authentication processing that performs authentication of the user inside a vehicle cabin of the autonomous driving vehicle based on the second authentication information, and start permission processing that permits the start of the autonomous driving vehicle in a case where the second authentication processing is completed.
Side door pushbutton releases
A vehicle door system includes a controller and a powered latch that is configured to selectively retain a door structure in a closed position when the powered latch is latched. The powered latch permits the door to be opened when the powered latch is unlatched. An electronic door release pad is disposed on an outer side of the door structure. The door release pad includes a pad surface that faces outwardly away from the door structure. A generally flat outer side of the door structure extends around the perimeter of the pad surface. The pad surface preferably comprises a sensor. The controller is configured to generate a signal to unlatch the powered latch if the door release pad generates a signal indicating that a user has touched the pad surface and/or that an object has been detected adjacent the pad.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURING A VEHICLE AND ITS CONTENT AFTER A BAILOUT OPERATION
This disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for automatically securing a vehicle such as a police truck or an emergency response vehicle and/or the contents of the vehicle after a bailout by the driver. In one exemplary method, a computer is configured to use a sensor system to detect that a driver of a vehicle has bailed out of the vehicle. Based at least in part on detecting that the driver has bailed out of the vehicle, the computer can execute operations such as automatically locking a door of the vehicle, logging out a computer located in the vehicle, locking a first component inside the vehicle such as a gun vault, and/or disabling an operation of another component in the vehicle such as a trunk release or an ignition switch.

Inside door handle system for a door of a vehicle
The invention relates to an inside door handle system for a door of a vehicle, wherein the door is transferable into a locking state and into an unlocked state by a closing system, comprising an actuation element for the actuation of the closing system and at least one support connectable with the door at which the actuation element is assembled, and further comprising at least a sensor element which with an approaching of an object in its recognition area transmits a recognition signal, wherein a release mode for the closing system is intended with which the closing system is in the unlocked state with which the actuation of the actuation element successively effects an opening function of the door wherein a control unit can be brought into data communication with the closing system and the sensor element, wherein in dependence on an existing recognition signal and of a vehicle related release signal the control unit transfers the closing system into the release mode.

Vehicle immobilizer
A vehicle security system includes a main printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, a radio frequency identification (RFID) assembly, a starter assembly, and an RFID tag. The main PCB assembly may be configured to determine whether an activation sequence of a motor vehicle is correct, whether an RFID tag is in close physical proximity to the RFID reader, and whether the RFID tag is a valid RFID tag. The main PCB assembly may transition the vehicle security system into a disarmed state to allow the starter assembly to start the motor vehicle in response to determining that the RFID tag is valid. The main PCB assembly may deactivate a critical component of the motor vehicle in response to determining that the activation sequence is not correct, that that the RFID tag is not in close physical proximity, or that that the RFID tag is not valid.
Method to lock, unlock and start a vehicle
The disclosure relates to a method to lock, unlock and start a vehicle without using a radio key or electronic vehicle key. According to the disclosure, the function of starting the vehicle without actively using the key is blocked when the vehicle is locked. When the vehicle is unlocked in a manner secured against relay station attacks, the possibility exists of starting the vehicle without actively using the key.
System for the automatic control of the access and/or engine start authorization of a user in a vehicle
A system for automatic control of entry and/or motor starting authorization of a user for a vehicle. A control device or a computation device associated with the control device uses at least one statistical computation method to compute a probability of misuse for obtaining an entry and/or motor starting authorization for the vehicle. If the computed probability of misuse reaches or exceeds a prescribable threshold value, a control signal at least for unlocking the vehicle doors and/or for enabling of the motor control device is/are stopped or produced by the control device only if at least one additional authentication criterion has been satisfied; and/or the system for control of entry and/or motor starting authorization is deactivated if it is established that the vehicle is parking in an environment where the probability of future misuse of the electronic key reaches or exceeds a prescribable threshold value.
