20220144211 · 2022-05-12 · ·

Disclosed are Ethernet-based vehicle control system and method. The system includes: a router for connecting a vehicle internal network and a vehicle external network when the vehicle internal network is formed by connecting an engine and a vehicle electronic element including a controller and a sensor; and a remote start module for performing remote start based on a remote start signal transmitted from a remote controller through the vehicle external network, wherein whether or not to perform the remote start is determined based on drive system state information generated by the vehicle electronic element and transferred via the router. When performing a remote start is controlled in response to an engine RPM during the remote start, efficient management of engine protection and fuel consumption can be achieved. When performing a remote start is controlled in response to the position of the transmission, safe remote start can be achieved.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING ACTIVE SERVICES BASED ON BIG DATA USING REMOTE START DEVICE OF VEHICLE
20220148343 · 2022-05-12 · ·

Disclosed is a method of providing active services based on big data using a remote start device of a vehicle. The method includes the steps of: collecting information related to the vehicle and a driver; deriving a behavior prediction value for predicting driver's behavior based on the collected information; operating an active service determination unit when the derived behavior prediction value meets a preset condition; determining, by the active service determination unit, proposal of an active service to the driver based on the collected vehicle-related information; determining a type of the active service and a time of providing the active service; transmitting proposal of the determined active service to a driver terminal to be displayed; and starting execution of the determined active service according to a change in the state of the driver terminal.

Vehicular illumination system with reconfigurable display element

A vehicular illumination system includes a ground illumination module disposed at a side door of a vehicle. The ground illumination module includes a reconfigurable display element and at least one light source operable to emit light. When the at least one light source is electrically powered, light emitted by the at least one light source illuminates a ground region adjacent the vehicle. When the at least one light source is electrically powered, light emitted by the at least one light source passes through the reconfigurable display element and the ground illumination module projects an icon established by the reconfigurable display element onto the ground region. The reconfigurable display element is reconfigurable to form the icon responsive to programming of the reconfigurable display element for an icon.

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND MOBILE DEVICE USED AS VEHICLE KEY FOB

An apparatus includes a vehicle control system (VCS) coupled to a computer of a vehicle via a CAN bus and configured to present selectively appearance of a presence in the vehicle of a smartkey, e.g., by energizing and de-energizing an actual smartkey of the vehicle. The VCS includes a VCS and a Bluetooth® VCS transceiver. The VCS stores VCS software. The apparatus also includes a smartphone with a Bluetooth® transceiver, and storing an app. The mobile device is paired with the VCS to communicate with the VCS via a Bluetooth® link. The app configures the smartphone to receive menu selections from a user, to generate communications that identify smartkey-enabled features of the VCS that correspond to the selections, and to send to the VCS the communications through the link. The VCS software configures the VCS to receive the communications and cause the vehicle to perform actions corresponding to the communications.

AUTHENTICATION DEVICE, VEHICLE HAVING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE

An authentication device, a vehicle having the same, and a method of controlling the vehicle are provided. The device includes a recognizer configured to recognize a fingerprint of a user, a storage configured to store fingerprint information of the user, a communicator configured to communicate with a driving device of a vehicle; and a controller configured to, when the fingerprint matches the fingerprint information, transmit, to the driving device, authentication success information representing a user authentication that is valid for a first predetermined period of time, and, when the fingerprint does not match the fingerprint information, restrict fingerprint recognition for a second predetermined period of time.

Remote starting and stopping engine

A vehicle apparatus has a controller, a first key reader disposed in a cabin of the vehicle, and a second key reader disposed external of the vehicle, such as on an auxiliary equipment. The controller is configured to actuate an engine control unit upon receipt of an authenticated signal. The controller is configured to receive a signal from the first key reader when the vehicle apparatus is operable in a first mode, and the controller is configured to receive a signal from the second key reader when the vehicle apparatus is operable in a second mode.

AUGMENTED REALITY DISPLAYED KEYPAD FOR AUTHENTICATED KEYLESS DOOR ACCESS
20230249649 · 2023-08-10 ·

In some implementations, a device may receive an indication of a code associated with granting authenticated access to a door. The device may transmit, to a user device, presentation information to cause an augmented reality image of an input pad to be displayed by the user device, wherein the augmented reality image is displayed over an area of an image of an exterior of the door via a user interface. The device may detect, via a camera device, one or more user inputs to the area of the exterior of the vehicle based on tracking a movement of a user. The device may identify an input code based on the one or more user inputs. The device may perform an action to cause the door to be unlocked based on the input code matching the code.

SMART SAFE CONSOLE SYSTEM

An operational circuit includes an operational controller configured to, responsive to receipt of a request from the sensor circuit, perform an identity verification using a cryptographic challenge to authenticate the sensor circuit before utilizing the trusted data.

System and method for keyless operation of vehicle ignition

A switch is interposed between an ignition antenna associated with a vehicle ignition switch and an auxiliary antenna located spaced from the ignition switch. A reader is selectively connected through the switch to either the ignition antenna or to the auxiliary antenna, the reader configured to determine if an authorized key is present adjacent to an antenna. An authorized key is kept adjacent to the auxiliary antenna. The vehicle ignition switch can be operated either with an authorized key brought adjacent to the ignition switch and adjacent to the ignition antenna or by adjusting the switch to connect the reader to the auxiliary antenna to read the authorized key kept adjacent thereto. A controller can cause this switch to adjust from connecting the reader to the ignition antenna to connecting the reader to the auxiliary antenna, so that the controller can automatically cause vehicle ignition operation when desired.
