Cable carrier guide
A long travel cable carrier guide has a plurality of guideposts that support an upper portion of a cable carrier. The plurality of guideposts include rollers that move between an extended and retracted position that allows the cable carrier to pass by the guideposts. The rollers automatically return to an extended position wherein the rollers protrude into the path of the cable carrier and provide support to the upper portion of the cable carrier as needed.
Agility Trainer
An agility trainer apparatus that provides a robotic system that applies forces laterally to a harness worn by a person during walking so as to provide highly controllable interventions targeting locomotor stability.
SPEED AND AGILITY GAME
An athletic game, or sport where a player interacts with ricocheting ping pong balls emitting from an apparatus, challenging the player's reaction speed, and dexterity. The apparatus is wall mounted at about eye-level, or higher, said apparatus containing one or more ball retaining, and dispensing apertures that are controlled by a programmed chip. The game is played by a player anticipating a series of balls; that have no predictable sequence, being dropped from any one of several orifices, seeing each ball drop, strike a shelf, then bounce upward, giving the player an attempt to catch, net, hit, or shoot at a time interval controlled series of balls, before any can reach the floor.
AUTOMATIC SALMON LADDER TRAINING DEVICE
Automatic salmon ladder training devices are provided. An automatic salmon ladder training device may include a frame and a rotation assembly. The rotation assembly may include a plurality of rotation subassemblies. The plurality of rotation subassemblies may each include a chain rotatably engaged by the rotation subassembly, a rung fixedly connected to the chain, and a fixed rung fixedly connected to the frame. Each of the rotation subassemblies are configured to rotate in concert with one another. For example, a left rotation subassembly and a right rotation subassembly may be configured to rotate in concert with one another.
Method and devices for enhancing speed, stride, and balance while walking and/or running
The method for engaging a person's sensorimotor complex includes providing a pair of lightweight sticks of equal length and weight; measuring a shoulder width from a first shoulder blade acromion of the person to a second shoulder blade acromion of the person; selecting from the plurality of devices a first lightweight stick and a second lightweight stick each having a length approximately equal to the width from the first shoulder blade acromion of the person to the second shoulder blade acromion of the person; grasping the first and second lightweight sticks with a respective first and second hands at a grasping position along the stick that is one shoulder width from a distal end of the stick; swinging the first and second hands back and forth between a first position and a second position; and walking while swinging the first and second hands back and forth.
Methods and apparatus for body weight support system
A body weight support system includes a tether configured to be coupled to an attachment device worn by a user to couple the user to the body weight support system. A method of providing gait training includes defining a reference length of the tether when the attachment device is in an initial position and defining a threshold length of the tether. A first amount of body weight support is provided during the gait training as the user moves relative to a surface and the length of the tether is less than the threshold length. A second amount of body weight support is provided during the gait training as the user moves relative to the surface and the length of the tether is greater than the threshold length. The method further includes displaying data associated with the gait training on a display of an electronic device.
Therapeutic mat
A therapeutic tool, and method for using it, for integrating motor, sensory and cognitive skills and progressively developing coordination and cognitive functioning. In a preferred embodiment, a mat is provided with colored shapes forming a figure-8 path. The shapes may be colored differently to progress along the figure-8 path. The shapes may be lights, and a computer may be used to program the lights, or provide music, to prompt the user to progress along the figure-8 path.
Sensorimotor device for exercise and rehabilitation
A sensorimotor exercise device including a casing is provided. The casing includes an elongated center member having a first end and a second end, a first end member provided at the first end of the center member and a second end member provided at the second end of the center member. The casing also includes a low viscosity fluid at least partially filing a hollow interior of the sensorimotor exercise device. The center member has a cylindrical shape and the first and second end members have a tapered configuration. A diameter of each of the first and second end members increasing from a first end thereof toward an opposing second end thereof.
Hand-eye coordination training device
A hand-eye coordination training device and/or kit may be reconfigurable by the user to adjust the level of difficulty of use. The training device may have a hub with at least two couplings and at least two handles that interchangeably and releasably attach to the couplings on the hub. Each handle is physically differentiated from the others by shape, color, size, or other differentiating elements. Handles may be fillable with material that alters the rotation of the training device in flight. In use, a color or other differentiating feature is called, and the user must catch the appropriate handle. If a specific hand is called, the user must use that hand to make the catch. The training device may comprise a controller and at least one sensor that controls sound, light, or a combination of sound and light. The training device provides a gaming element to training sessions.
Networked Impact System and Apparatus
An impact system, method, and apparatus including a sensor wall defining a substantially vertical wall. A number of sensors are embedded in the sensor wall. The number of sensors are configured to sense one or more impacts simultaneously. The impact system further includes a base securing the sensor wall. The base is fixedly attached to a floor or ground. The impact system further includes supports integrated with the sensor wall securing the sensor wall to the base.
