Agility ladder projection systems, devices, and methods
Systems, devices, and methods for projecting an agility ladder onto a ground surface. A device may include a light source and an optical element configured to include an image of the agility ladder having a plurality of adjacent enclosed zones. The optical element may be positioned to allow the light source to project light through the optical element. The device may include at least one optical lens positioned such that the optical element is between the light source and the at least one optical lens. The at least one optical lens may be configured to magnify and project the image onto the ground surface. The device may include a plurality of sensors configured to detect an appendage partially or completely stepped within each of the plurality of adjacent enclosed zones. The device may include a processor coupled to the sensors and programmed to determine one or more training metrics.
Game-based sensorimotor rehabilitator
Treatment of neurological injury through motor relearning. A game-based sensorimotor rehabilitator that enables individuals to interact with the functional objects using the appropriate amount of force, tilt, finger movement, and muscle activity to regain lost skill due to injury.
FOOTWORK ORIENTATION AND ARM AND HIP TRAINING AND COORDINATION DEVICES
Embodiments of the present disclosure pertain to devices that can be used to position a foot in orientations that enable various body actions in defined directions and defined pathways for maximum effectiveness. Using various means such as markings and protrusions on a rotating plate flush with a mount configured to hold it that has corresponding markings, a user can rotate one or both of his feet to orient them in specific orientations elaborated. In such orientations he can practice various techniques such as practicing of various shots, hip movements etc. The devices can be configured with resistance bands and other devices to provide more specific orientation and training.
WALKING TRAINING APPARATUS
Provided is a walking training apparatus which includes: a main body to be ridden by a walking trainee; a footrest part coupled to the main body rotatably to support feet of the walking trainee; and an upper body support part coupled to the main body at a position spaced apart from the footrest part to support an upper body of the walking trainee and thus disperse load supported by the footrest part, wherein the upper body support part supports an armpit and a forearm of the walking trainee.
Compliant bimanual rehabilitation device and method of use thereof
A compliant bimanual rehabilitation system. The device allows for the user or operator's hands to be coupled with a variety of coupling stiffnesses and in a variety of symmetry modes, leading to enhanced rehabilitation of the impaired arm. Structurally, the device includes a carrier assembly slidably coupled to a base along a y-axis, an upper assembly rotatably coupled to the carrier assembly along a z-axis, handle slides slidably coupled to the upper assembly along an x-axis, compliant handle assemblies coupled to the handle slides, and handles coupled to the compliant handle assemblies. Encoders and load cells can also be positioned accordingly to monitor the position of the components and force applied to the device. Spring stacks can be coupled to the compliant handle assemblies to adjust coupling stiffnesses. The handles are indirectly linked to each other to facilitate rehabilitation of the paretic arm using the sound arm.
CABLE CARRIER GUIDE
A long travel cable carrier guide has a plurality of guideposts that support an upper portion of a cable carrier. The plurality of guideposts include rollers that move between an extended and retracted position that allows the cable carrier to pass by the guideposts. The rollers automatically return to an extended position wherein the rollers protrude into the path of the cable carrier and provide support to the upper portion of the cable carrier as needed.
Stabilization enhancement exercise device and associated method
A device for facilitating or enhancing torso and pelvis stability exercises includes two elongate semi-cylindrical resiliently compressible members so coupled to one another as to maintain a mutually parallel configuration, the resiliently compressible members each having a planar side and a cylindrically arcuate side, the planar sides being co-planar with one another. A user attachment component holds the resiliently compressible members to the user with the planar sides in contact with the user in one use configuration and so that the arcuate sides are in contact with the user in an alternate use configuration.
Assessment and enhancement of reaction based joint stabilization capabilities
Interactive system provides training and assessments relating to joint stabilization capabilities and reaction-based performance for diverse populations. This system may enhance the subject's ability to generate and deliver power as a direct byproduct of properly timed decelerations originating with the effectors and supported by the verticality of the spine. Said decelerations also provide functional means for improving joint stabilization capabilities via improved co-contraction of the shoulder(s) joints and other anatomical locations on the subject. The resulting data may serve as the basis for predictive analytics relating to joint stabilization and the associated risk of orthopedic injuries. This system may also train/improve the dampening of internal forces resulting from aggressive weight bearing movements, and more effectively dissipate the force of received physical impacts.
Exercise training system
An exercise training system is provided having a system controller and a plurality of stimulant target units connected via a wireless network to the system controller. Each stimulant target unit has a light source providing light to stimulate a user, a proximity sensor providing an output of a distance between the proximity sensor and an object external to the unit, and means for providing feedback to the user to signal that the unit has been actuated by the user. The system controller includes a program for activating the stimulant target units in a sequence. The reaction by the user to the illumination is registered when the user brings a body part or other object to within a selected distance of the proximity sensor, this distance being programmable by the user.
Systems, methods, and devices for assisting walking for developmentally-delayed toddlers
In at least some aspects, the present concepts include a method of enabling rehabilitation of bodily control of a user comprising the acts of: integrating the user within a multi-module robotic system, the multi-module robotic system comprising modules of a flexible exosuit, a support module, a mobile base, or a combination thereof, applying one or more forces, cues, or a combination thereof on the user, based on one or more subtask-specific functions of the modules, to cause a developing of one or more subtasks of the bodily control, and managing control of one or more remaining subtasks of the bodily control by the modules in place of at least in part, the user while applying the one or more forces, cues, or a combination thereof.
