A camera wing system to a vehicle comprising such camera wing system and a method to operate such a camera wing system comprising at least one camera to record a scenery in a field of view of the camera and an illuminating system to emit light to illuminate the field of view of the camera, the camera being sensitive to the light emitted by the illumination system, wherein the illuminating system provides light to the scenery in one or more emission cones (EC), where the one or more emission cones are adaptable in emission direction (ED1, ED2) and/or cone angle (CA) depending on the driving situation (DS) of the vehicle in order to illuminate the scenery in the field of view being of interest for a driver due to the detected driving situation.

ELECTRONIC MIRROR DEVICE

An electronic mirror device includes a display, a controller that controls the display, a switching portion, and a preliminary starter. The display includes a main case having an opening, a video display portion, and a semi-transparent mirror. The video display portion includes a display screen and displays camera images captured by a camera. The semi-transparent mirror is provided between the display screen of the video display portion and the opening of the main case and displays a mirror reflection. The switching portion causes the display to switch between displaying the camera images and the mirror reflection. The preliminary starter preliminarily starts up the controller and the display before the switching portion causes the display to display the camera images.

User-adjustable trajectories for automated vehicle reversing

A method for autonomously maneuvering a vehicle in a rearward direction towards a point of interest is provided. The method includes receiving one or more images from a camera positioned on a back portion of the vehicle. The method includes overlaying a path on the one or more images. In addition, the method includes receiving a command by way of a user interface. The command includes instructions to adjust the path. The method includes adjusting the path based on the received command. The method also includes transmitting a drive command to a drive system supported by the vehicle. The drive command causes the vehicle to autonomously maneuver along the adjusted path in a rearward direction.
