11584297 · 2023-02-21 · ·

A display device for a vehicle includes: a plurality of imaging units configured to capture images around the vehicle; an image compositing unit configured to composite the images captured by the imaging units to generate a composite image; an image display unit configured to display the composite image generated by the image compositing unit; and an acquiring unit configured to acquire information about an object around the vehicle. The imaging units are arranged such that imaging areas thereof overlap with each other. The image compositing unit is configured to set a boundary between the captured images in the composite image such that the boundary is provided in a part where the imaging areas of the imaging units overlap with each other. In a case where the acquiring unit acquires the information about the object, the image compositing unit changes the boundary.

Vehicular vision system with split display

A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at a vehicle and having respective exterior fields of view, and a display screen for displaying images derived from captured image data in a surround view format where captured image data is merged to provide a single composite display image from a virtual viewing position. A control includes a processor that processes image data captured by the cameras to detect an object present in the field of view of at least one of the cameras. During a driving maneuver of the vehicle, the display screen displays surround view video images and responsive to detection of the object, the display screen displays an enlarged view of the detected object.

Overhead image generation device, overhead image generation method, and program

An overhead image generation device includes: an image acquisition unit that acquires a peripheral image by capturing an image of a periphery of a vehicle; an approach information acquisition unit that acquires approach information indicating an approach state of an obstacle detected in the periphery of the vehicle to the vehicle; an overhead image generation unit that generates an overhead image A from the peripheral image by performing viewpoint conversion processing so as to look down on the vehicle from above in a vertical direction; an approach state image generation unit that generates an approach state image B showing an approach state of the obstacle to the vehicle for each position of the vehicle in the vertical direction, based on the approach information; and a display control unit that superimposes the overhead image A and the approach state image B and causes a display unit to display the superimposed image.

Vehicular camera monitoring system
11498494 · 2022-11-15 · ·

A vehicular camera monitoring system a driver-side camera, a driver-side video display screen disposed at a driver-side cabin region of an interior cabin of the vehicle, a passenger-side camera and a passenger-side video display screen disposed at a passenger-side cabin region of the interior cabin of the vehicle. During a parking maneuver or parking-space exit maneuver of the vehicle, the driver-side video display screen displays parking assist images derived from image data captured by the driver-side camera and the passenger-side video display screen displays parking assist images derived from image data captured by the passenger-side camera. Upon completion of the parking-space exit maneuver where the vehicle exits a parking space, the driver-side and passenger-side video display screens automatically operate to display driving assist video images derived from image data captured by the respective side camera, with the displayed driving assist video images being different from the displayed parking assist images.

Display device for shovel displaying left and right mirror images and shovel including same

A shovel includes a lower traveling body, an upper turning body turnably mounted on the lower traveling body, a cab installed on the upper turning body, a display device installed in the cab, and image capturing devices attached to the upper turning body. The display device is configured to simultaneously display a left mirror image and a right mirror image generated based on an image captured by at least one of the image capturing devices. The left mirror image is an image corresponding to a mirror image in a left mirror attached to the left front end of the shovel. The right mirror image is an image corresponding to a mirror image in a right mirror attached to the right front end of the shovel.

Image presentation for vehicles with multiple cameras

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a camera monitor system providing areas of importance to a driver, to a corresponding vehicle and to a method for operating such a camera monitor system comprising at least two separate cameras arranged to record camera views of the surrounding of the vehicle being different for each camera and at least one monitor with a monitor screen suitably arranged to provide the recorded camera views on the screen at least to the driver of the vehicle, wherein the provided camera views and/or an arrangement of the different recorded camera views on the monitor screen depend(s) on a status of the vehicle, wherein a control unit is adapted to observe the status of the vehicle and to alter the arrangement of the camera views provided on the screen in dependence on the observed status of the vehicle.

Photoelectric conversion device having select circuit with a switch circuit having a plurality of switches, and imaging system

A photoelectric conversion device includes: pixels forming columns and each configured to output a pixel signal; and comparator units provided to respective columns and each configured to receive the pixel signal from the pixels on a corresponding column and the reference signal. Each comparator unit includes a comparator having a first input node that receives the pixel signal and a second input node that receives the reference signal, a first capacitor that connects a reference signal line and the second input node, a second capacitor whose one electrode is connected to the second input node, and a select unit that connects the other electrode of the second capacitor to either the reference signal line or a reference voltage line. The other electrode of the second capacitor is connected to the reference signal line during first mode AD conversion and connected to the reference voltage line during second mode AD conversion.

Multi-camera vehicular vision system with graphic overlay

A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at a vehicle and capturing image data as the equipped vehicle is driven along a traffic lane of a road. Captured image data is processed to detect a rearward-approaching vehicle and determine a path of travel of the detected rearward-approaching vehicle. Responsive to determining that the path of travel of the detected rearward-approaching vehicle is along a side traffic lane adjacent to the traffic lane along which the equipped vehicle is driven, the vehicular vision system (i) displays at a video display screen video images derived at least from image data captured by the side camera that is at the side portion of the equipped vehicle that is adjacent to the side traffic lane and (ii) overlays a transparent graphic overlay overlaying the displayed video images that is based on the determined path of travel of the detected rearward-approaching vehicle.

DISPLAY CONTROL APPARATUS, VEHICLE, AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD

Provided is a display control apparatus including a vehicle detector and a processor, in which the processor performs projection conversion for projecting the plurality of captured images onto a projection plane, performs a visual point conversion process for converting at least one of the plurality of captured images into an image viewed from a virtual visual point, and sets a ground height of the virtual visual point when the surrounding vehicle is not detected in a predetermined region to be lower than a ground height of the virtual visual point when the surrounding vehicle is detected in the predetermined region.
