The method includes receiving a first image (133, 133b) from a rear trailer camera (132, 132b), a second image (133, 133c) from a right-side trailer camera (132, 132c), and a third image (133, 133d) from a left-side trailer camera (132, 132d). The method includes determining a panoramic view (152) based on the first image (133, 133b), the second image (133, 133c), and the third image (133, 133d). Additionally, the method includes determining a trailer angle (α) based on sensor system data (131) received from a sensor system (130). The method includes determining a viewing area (154) within the panoramic view (152) based on the trailer angle (α) and sending instructions (156) to a display (122) to display the viewing area (154).
Vehicle display system for displaying surrounding event information
An information distribution system obtains event information such as image data about an event in the past or future using a collection server or a creation server, and stores the obtained event information in a storage server. The event information such as the image data is obtained with association to a location of the event and stored. The vehicle includes an image display system. An occupant wears a wearable device which is a display unit. When the location of an event is within the field of view of the occupant, the event image is displayed through the wearable device based on the event information such as the image data.
VEHICLE DISPLAY SYSTEM WITH WEARABLE DISPLAY
An example display system for a commercial vehicle includes a camera configured to record images of a blind spot of the commercial vehicle and a wearable augmented reality display device that includes an electronic display and is configured to be worn on the head of a driver of the commercial vehicle. An electronic control unit is configured to display graphical elements on the electronic display that depict at least one of portions of the recorded images and information derived from the recorded images. A method of displaying graphical elements is also disclosed.
Camera calibration system
Implementations set forth herein relate to a camera calibration system for generating various types of calibration data by maneuvering a camera through a variety of different calibration test systems. The calibration data generated by the camera calibration system can be transmitted to the camera, which can locally store the calibration data. The calibration data can include spatial frequency response value data, which can be generated according to a spatial frequency response test that is performed by the camera calibration system. The calibration data can also include field of view values and distortion values that are generated according to a distortion test that is also performed by the camera calibration system. The camera calibration system can maneuver the camera through a variety of different calibration tests, as well as transmit any resulting calibration data to the camera for storage.
Imaging apparatus, moveable body, and imaging method
An imaging apparatus comprises a camera and a controller. The camera generates a captured image. The controller superimposes a calibration object movable by translation or rotation in the captured image. In the case where a plurality of indexes I located at positions determined with respect to a moveable body having the camera mounted therein are subjected to imaging, the controller moves the calibration object so that a first corresponding portion coincides with an image of a first index of the plurality of indexes, and performs distortion correction on an area in the captured image determined based on a position of the image of the first index and a position of an image of a second index in the captured image and a position at which the calibration object is superimposed so that the image of the second index coincides with a second corresponding portion.
Overhead image generation device, overhead image generation method, and program
An overhead image generation device includes: an image acquisition unit that acquires a peripheral image by capturing an image of a periphery of a vehicle; an approach information acquisition unit that acquires approach information indicating an approach state of an obstacle detected in the periphery of the vehicle to the vehicle; an overhead image generation unit that generates an overhead image A from the peripheral image by performing viewpoint conversion processing so as to look down on the vehicle from above in a vertical direction; an approach state image generation unit that generates an approach state image B showing an approach state of the obstacle to the vehicle for each position of the vehicle in the vertical direction, based on the approach information; and a display control unit that superimposes the overhead image A and the approach state image B and causes a display unit to display the superimposed image.
Parking assist apparatus
A parking assist apparatus includes an ECU. The ECU displays a first left support image on a predetermined display area of a touch panel display section so that an entire area of a tentative target parking space is displayed within the predetermined display area, based on a relative position of the tentative target parking space with respect to a vehicle.
Method and apparatus for invisible vehicle underbody view
The present application relates to a method and apparatus for generating a graphical user interface indicative of a vehicle underbody view including a LIDAR operative to generate a depth map of an off-road surface, a camera for capturing an image of the off-road surface, a chassis sensor operative to detect an orientation of a host vehicle, a processor operative to generate an augmented image in response to the depth map, the image and the orientation, wherein the augmented image depicts an underbody view of the host vehicle and a graphic representative of a host vehicle suspension system, and a display operative to display the augmented image to a host vehicle operator. A static and dynamic model of the vehicle underbody is compared vs the 3-D terrain model to identify contact points between the underbody and terrain are highlighted.
Periphery monitoring device
A periphery monitoring device according to an embodiment includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire captured image data from an image-capturing unit that captures a region including a road surface in a traveling direction of a vehicle and a region above the road surface; a storage unit configured to store the captured image data; and an image processing unit configured to display, in a case of displaying a peripheral image in the traveling direction of the vehicle on a display unit, a first region including a road surface on a under-floor portion of the vehicle or a road surface on a vicinity of the under-floor portion by using a corresponding image in past captured image data stored in the storage unit, and display a second region including the region above the road surface by using a corresponding image in current captured image data acquired by the acquisition unit.
