VEHICLE PERIPHERY MONITORING SYSTEM
Upon detection of boarding of a person in a vehicle compartment of a vehicle by a vehicle information detector, a controller controls an aircraft such that the aircraft takes off from the vehicle, a photographing unit photographs a periphery of the vehicle, and a video captured by the photographing unit is transmitted to a communication unit.
Vehicular multi-camera vision system that utilizes trailer camera
A vehicular multi-camera vision system includes a plurality of exterior viewing vehicle cameras disposed at a vehicle, a trailer camera disposed at a rear of a trailer and viewing rearward, an ECU and a display device in the vehicle. With the trailer not hitched to the vehicle and during a driving maneuver of the vehicle, image data captured by the vehicle cameras is provided to the ECU and the display device displays video images generated by the ECU and derived from image data captured by the vehicle cameras. With the trailer hitched to the vehicle and during a driving maneuver of the vehicle towing the trailer, image data captured by the trailer camera and the vehicle cameras is provided to the ECU and the display device displays video images generated by the ECU and derived from image data captured by the trailer camera and side viewing vehicle cameras.
System and method for managing service and non-service related activities associated with a waste collection, disposal and/or recycling vehicle
Systems and methods are provided for using video/still images captured by continuously recording optical sensors mounted on waste collection vehicles used in in the waste collection, disposal and recycling industry for operational and customer service related purposes. Optical sensors are integrated into the in-cab monitor as well as the onboard computer, digital video recorder and other external devices.
Method of processing image using camera of vehicle and vehicle device
A method of processing an image using a camera of a vehicle includes: a first operation of controlling a road wheel of the vehicle according to an imaging mode selected by a user from among a plurality of imaging modes, and a second operation of generating an image according to the imaging mode selected by the user by using the camera while the road wheel of the vehicle is controlled.
REAR-FACING PERCEPTION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES
Devices, systems and methods for operating a rear-facing perception system for vehicles are described. An exemplary rear-facing perception system contains two corner units and a center unit, with each of the two corner units and the center unit including a camera module and a dual-band transceiver. A method for operating the rear-facing perception system includes pairing with a control unit by communicating, using the dual-band transceiver, over at least a first frequency band, transmitting a first trigger signal to the two corner units over a second frequency band non-overlapping with the first frequency band, and switching to an active mode. In an example, the first trigger signal causes the two corner units to switch to the active mode, which includes orienting the camera modules on the center unit and the two corner units to provide an unobstructed view of an area around a rear of the vehicle.
TELEPRESENCE SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A telepresence system for a motor vehicle includes a first telecommunication device arranged on the vehicle for receiving audio and video data from a remote source via a second telecommunication device. The system also includes an audio speaker arranged on the vehicle exterior for reproducing the received audio data and a visual display device facing the vehicle exterior for displaying the video data toward an environment surrounding the vehicle. The system additionally includes a microphone for capturing sound proximate the vehicle and communicating the captured sound to the first telecommunication device. The system further includes a camera for generating an image of the surrounding environment and communicating the generated image to the first telecommunication device. The first telecommunication device is additionally configured to communicate the captured sound and the generated image to the second telecommunication device to thereby establish real-time communication between the surrounding environment and the remote source.
System of vehicles equipped with imaging equipment for high-definition near real-time map generation
Described are street level intelligence platforms, systems, and methods that can include a fleet of swarm vehicles having imaging devices. Images captured by the imaging devices can be used to produce and/or be integrated into maps of the area to produce high-definition maps in near real-time. Such maps may provide enhanced street level intelligence useful for fleet management, navigation, traffic monitoring, and/or so forth.
Vehicular vision system that utilizes trailer camera
A vehicular vision system includes a rear backup vehicle camera, a trailer camera disposed at a rear of a trailer, a display device disposed in the vehicle, and an electronic control unit (ECU) disposed in the vehicle. With the trailer not hitched to the vehicle and during a reversing maneuver of the vehicle, the ECU generates video images derived at least in part from image data captured by the rear backup vehicle camera and the display device displays the video images. With the trailer hitched to the vehicle, image data captured by the trailer camera is provided to the vehicle via data communication over powerline using a DC powerline, and the display device displays the video images derived at least in part from image data captured by the trailer camera for viewing by the driver of the vehicle during the driving maneuver of the vehicle with the trailer hitched thereto.
Object detection device, object detection method, and non-transitory computer readable medium comprising computer program for object detection-use
An object detection device comprising a first detecting part detecting types and positions of objects including a road mirror in an image and a presence of a movable object reflected in the road mirror based on image data of a low resolution image and a second detecting part detecting a type of the movable object in the road mirror and a position of the movable object in the road mirror based on high resolution partial image data obtained by extracting the part of the road mirror from the image if there is a movable object reflected in the road mirror.
