Flexible hub for handling multi-sensor data
A hub that receives sensor data streams and then distributes the data streams to the various systems that use the sensor data. A demultiplexer (demux) receives the streams, filters out undesired streams and provides desired streams to the proper multiplexer (mux) or muxes of a series of muxes. Each mux combines received streams and provides an output stream to a respective formatter or output block. The formatter or output block is configured based on the destination of the mux output stream, such as an image signal processor, a processor, memory or external transmission. The output block reformats the received stream to a format appropriate for the recipient and then provides the reformatted stream to that recipient.
VEHICULAR CAMERA
A vehicular camera includes: an imaging sensor including a first pixel region having X1 pixels arranged in a first direction and Y1 pixels arranged in a second direction intersecting the first direction; an optical system including at least one lens and having an optical axis intersecting the first pixel region; and a memory configured to store a position of a second pixel region inside the first pixel region and having X2 pixels arranged in the first direction and Y2 pixels arranged in the second direction, the X2 being smaller than the X1, the Y2 being smaller than the Y1. The vehicular camera is configured to: read the position of the second pixel region from the memory in response to start-up of the imaging sensor; and output an output image corresponding to the second pixel region while outputting the position of the second pixel region.
REAR-VIEW MIRROR SYSTEM
The rear-view mirror system (100) comprises a mounting assembly (200) arranged outside a motor vehicle (10), and a first image acquisition unit (300) at least partially received within the mounting assembly (200) configured to acquire a captured image from the exterior of the vehicle. A display device (400) is provided inside the motor vehicle (10) for displaying to a user a displayed image derived at least in part from the captured image. An electronics carrier (320) comprises an ECU (500) connected to the first image acquisition unit (300) so as to generate an image signal for the display device (400) to show the displayed image.
REAR COLLISION WARNING DEVICE FOR A TRUCK TRAILER
A rear collision warning device for trailers that may include one or more sensors, a control circuit, and one or more warning devices. In one aspect, the sensors are configured to monitor a predetermined zone behind a trailer and to optionally trigger warnings as predetermined criteria are satisfied. In another aspect, the control circuit controls the warning devices to emit a warning signal in the form of flashing lights, strobes, audible alarms, and the like, or to send warning notifications to a remote server, an app, or to a cab mounted display. The sensors, circuits, and warning devices are optionally mounted together in a separate housing and mounted at or near the rear of the trailer.
FLEXIBLE HUB FOR HANDLING MULTI-SENSOR DATA
A hub that receives sensor data streams and then distributes the data streams to the various systems that use the sensor data. Various hardware components within the hub are configured to redistribute and/or combine select data streams based on safety and/or workload issues. Any data stream determined to be faulty is not transmitted to its destination. When a receiving system is determined to have too high of a workload, select data streams may be redistributed to another system for more timely and efficient processing.
