Inter-vehicle cooperation for vehicle self imaging

Method and apparatus are disclosed for inter-vehicle cooperation for vehicle self imaging. An example vehicle includes an inter-vehicle communication module and a infotainment head unit. The infotainment head unit determines a pose of the vehicle and, in response to receiving an input to generate a composite image, broadcasts a request for images of the vehicle. The request message includes the pose. The infotainment head unit also generates the composite image of the vehicle based on the images and display the composite image on a display.

DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE

A display control device includes: an image acquisition unit configured to acquire captured image data from an imaging unit that captures an image of a peripheral area of a vehicle; a display control unit configured to display, on a screen, display image data based on the captured image data; and an operation receiving unit configured to receive an operation on the screen, in which the display control unit displays display information that reminds a first operation capable of being performed next via the operation receiving unit when the operation receiving unit receives designation of an arbitrary point of the display image data displayed on the screen.

DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE

A display control device includes: an image acquisition unit configured to acquire captured image data from an imaging unit that captures an image of a peripheral area of a vehicle; a display control unit configured to cause image data based on the captured image data to be displayed on a screen; and an operation receiving unit configured to receive designation of an arbitrary point on the screen, in which the display control unit enlarges display on the screen about the designated point as a center of enlargement in a state where a display position of the designated point does not move on the screen when the operation receiving unit receives the designation of the arbitrary point on the screen.

Disclosed are an apparatus and method for displaying a rear image of a vehicle. The apparatus for displaying a rear image of a vehicle includes a rear camera configured to capture a rear image of the vehicle, a steering angle sensor configured to sense a steering angle of a steering wheel, a display unit, and an image processing unit configured to convert the rear image captured by the rear camera when the vehicle moves backward into an image in a direction where the vehicle is to move backward according to the steering angle of the steering wheel that is sensed by the steering angle sensor, and display the converted image in the direction where the vehicle is to move backward through the display unit.

Rear vision system with eye-tracking

A rear vision system for a vehicle includes a camera mounted with the vehicle and capturing a field of view rearward of the vehicle, a rearview mirror including a display substrate thereon, and an image sensor directed toward an interior of the vehicle and configured to capture image data of an object. The system further includes a controller in communication with the camera and receiving a first video image of the first size corresponding with the field of view, with the image sensor to determine a position of the object within the image data, and with the display substrate to present a portion of the first video image thereon of a size less than the first size. The portion of the first video image is selected to correspond with an expected portion of the field of view based on the determined position of the object.

Apparatus for presenting support images to a driver and method thereof

An image recognition unit recognizes an object in each image captured by a plurality of imaging devices each imaging a partial overlapped imaging region surrounding a vehicle. An image synthesis unit generates a synthesized image by partially overlapping and joining converted images viewed from preset virtual viewpoints, when an imaging region including the recognized object is an overlapping region of which any one of two imaging devices performs imaging. The image synthesis unit synthesizes each converted image area in the overlapping image regions, using a preset blend ratio when an image of the converted images which are joined to partially overlap is generated. An image-setting unit sets the blend ratio of each converted image in the overlapping image regions for recognition results of an object, and a driving support image synthesized with the set blend ratio is output to a display apparatus.
