The present technology relates to an image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and an image processing system enabling the presentation of more useful information. An image in a viewpoint direction corresponding to the state of an object is generated from a captured image. Alternatively, an image of the periphery of the object is captured at a wide angle, and then an image obtained by projecting a part of the wide-angle captured image thus obtained onto a plane in a viewpoint direction corresponding to the state of the object is displayed. For example, an image of the periphery of an object is captured at a wide angle, an image in a viewpoint direction corresponding to the state of the object is generated from the obtained captured image, and the generated image is displayed.

A display image is obtained in accordance with a deviation of a viewpoint position of a driver from a reference viewpoint position, on the basis of a captured image obtained by capturing an image on a rear side from a vehicle. The reference viewpoint position is updated on the basis of a long-term fluctuation of the viewpoint position. For example, the reference viewpoint position is not updated when a line-of-sight of the driver is in a certain region including a display unit that displays a display image. For example, when a viewpoint position of the driver enters a certain region corresponding to a seated state, there is registered, as an initial reference viewpoint position, a viewpoint position of the driver in a case where a line-of-sight of the driver is continuously present for a certain period of time on the display unit that displays a display image.

Vehicle camera system

A capturing device includes an image sensor that generates an image signal by performing photoelectric conversion for light from a subject, a control unit that generates a setting value for setting a range where an image resulting from the image signal is cut, based on a first instruction input from a user, a setting value storage unit that stores the setting value generated by the control unit, an image conversion unit that reads the setting value from the setting value storage unit, and cuts a specific region specified by the setting value from the image and enlarges the cut region, when there is a second instruction input from the user, and an output unit that converts a signal of the image cut and enlarged by the image conversion unit into an image signal of a predetermined format and outputs the converted image signal.

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of recreational vehicles (RVs), and provides an RV monitoring system. The RV monitoring system includes a display screen, and a rear-view camera assembly, a side-view camera assembly, a door-top camera assembly, and a reversing camera that are electrically connected to the display screen, where the display screen is detachably disposed inside an RV, the reversing camera is detachably disposed at a lower end of the tail of the RV, the rear-view camera assembly is mounted at a stop lamp of the RV, the door-top camera assembly is disposed on the top of a door of the RV, and the side-view camera assembly is disposed at a turn lamp of the RV.

LOW-PROFILE ACTUATOR FOR EXTENDABLE CAMERA

A vehicular imaging system includes a camera device disposed at an exterior portion of a vehicle. The camera device includes a pivotable arm that accommodates a camera. The pivotable arm is pivotally mounted at a mounting base at the vehicle and is pivotable between at least a drive position and a folded position. An actuator includes a pivot post structure attached to the mounting base and an output gear disposed at the pivot post structure, the actuator operable to pivot the pivotable arm about the output gear. The actuator includes a primary detent that is engaged to maintain the pivotable arm at the drive position when the pivotable arm is pivoted to the drive position. The actuator includes a secondary detent that is disengaged when the pivotable arm is manually pivoted between the folded position and the drive position.

Method for generating surround view images derived from image data captured by cameras of a vehicular surround view vision system

A method for generating surround view images derived from image data captured by cameras of a vehicular surround view vision system includes equipping a vehicle with a plurality of cameras disposed at the vehicle. Image data is captured by the cameras and provided to a control of the vehicle. The provided captured image data is processed to generate a first three-dimensional representation in accordance with a first curved surface model as if seen by a virtual observer from a first virtual viewing point exterior of the vehicle having a first viewing direction. The first representation is output to a display screen of the vehicle for display to the driver of the vehicle. Responsive to actuation of a user input, the processing is adjusted to generate a second three-dimensional representation in accordance with a second curved surface model, and the second representation is output to the display screen.

Periphery monitoring apparatus

A periphery monitoring apparatus includes: an image capturing unit configured to generate a captured image by capturing a periphery of a mobile body; and a controller configured to generate, from the captured image, a peripheral image representing a view from a virtual viewpoint that is set at a relative position to a current position of the mobile body depending on a movement of the mobile body, generate a display image in which a mobile body image representing a position of the mobile body is superimposed on the peripheral image, and display the mobile body image to fix a position of the mobile body image in the display image.

VEHICULAR DISPLAY SYSTEM

A vehicular display system shows an image of a surrounding area of a vehicle in a superior visibility mode. Embodiments include an imaging unit that captures an image of the surrounding area of the vehicle; an image processing unit that converts the image captured by the imaging unit into a view image of the area seen from a predetermined virtual viewpoint in the cabin; and a display unit that shows the view image generated by the image processing unit. The image processing unit can generate, as the view image, a first view image acquired when a first direction is seen from the virtual viewpoint, and a second view image acquired when a second direction differing from the first direction is seen from the virtual viewpoint. Each of the first and second view images is shown at a horizontal angle of view that corresponds to a stable visual field.
