VEHICLE INTRUSION DETECTION VIA A SURROUND VIEW CAMERA
A method of detecting an intrusion includes sending an activation command to an intrusion detection system. In response to the activation command, at least one camera is activated. At least one image is obtained from the at least one camera representative of a surrounding area of the at least one camera. The at least one image is analyzed to determine if the intrusion is detected. An operator is then notified of the presence or absence of the intrusion.
VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM
A vehicle security system for monitoring a vehicle and notifying a user includes at least two image capture devices (ICD), sensors, a global positioning system tracking module (GPSTM), a control module (CM), and a monitoring device. The ICD are positioned at predetermined locations of the vehicle for capturing and transmitting images of a target object. The sensors generate sensor data variables based on a detection of the target object. The GPSTM generates and transmits signals based on a position of the vehicle to a monitoring device. The CM receives the captured images and sensor data variables. The CM analyzes the received images and sensor data variables based on predefined criteria to trigger auxiliary units. The CM transmits the images and sensor data variables based on the predefined criteria to the monitoring device. A graphical user interface displays the images for monitoring the vehicle and notifies the user.
Periphery surveillance apparatus and program
A periphery surveillance apparatus includes: a storage section storing captured image data from a capturing section capturing an image of a region including a road surface and a region upward therefrom, in a traveling direction of a vehicle; a display section selectively displaying at least one of past and present images, the past image based on captured image data corresponding to a current underfloor area among captured image data stored in the storage section, and the present image based on new captured image data captured and output by the capturing section; and a control section performing switching to the past image when a permission condition for permitting display of the past image is established during displaying the present image and performing switching to the present image when a recovery condition for performing recovery to the present image is established during displaying the past image.
IMAGE TRANSMITTING DEVICE
In order to enhance security of a parked vehicle, an image transmitting device to be mounted on a vehicle includes: a checking unit that checks, at a parking place of the vehicle, communicability with an external device outside of the vehicle, that is, whether an image can be transmitted from the parking place to the external device; a providing unit that provides notification information based on a result of the checking by the checking unit; a capturing unit that captures an image while the vehicle is parked; and a transmitting unit that transmits the image captured by the capturing unit to the external device.
Vehicle event recorder systems and networks having integrated cellular wireless communications systems
Vehicle event recorder systems are arranged to be in constant communication with remote servers and administrators via mobile wireless cellular networks. Vehicle event recorders equipped with video cameras capture video and other data records of important events relating to vehicle use. These data are then transmitted over special communications networks having very high coverage space but limited bandwidth. A vehicle may be operated over very large region while maintaining continuous communications connections with a remote fixed server. As such, systems of these inventions may be characterized as including a mobile unit having: a video camera; a microprocessor; memory; an event trigger; and mobile wireless transceivers, and a fixed network portion including: mobile wireless cellular network, a protocol translation gateway, the Internet and an application-specific server.
VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD AND DEVICE
The embodiments of the present disclosure provide vehicle control method and device, to overcome the problems that powerful evidences for dealing with the damaged vehicle cannot be obtained if the vehicle owner falls to hear alarm sound or cannot immediately return to the spot of vehicle in existing technology of parking security. The method includes: monitoring whether a warning apparatus of a vehicle is triggered to raise alarm after determining the vehicle is locked; and switching on a camera apparatus in the vehicle to capture multimedia data about surroundings of the vehicle when the warning apparatus is triggered to raise alarm. According to the embodiments of the disclosure, even if the vehicle owner falls to hear alarm sound or cannot immediately return to the spot of vehicle, powerful evidences for dealing with the damaged vehicle can be provided for the vehicle owner.
ARTIFICIAL VISION SYSTEM
One aspect of the present invention includes artificial vision system. The system includes an image system comprising a video source that is configured to capture sequential frames of image data of non-visible light and at least one processor configured as an image processing system. The image processing system includes a wavelet enhancement component configured to normalize each pixel of each of the sequential frames of image data and to decompose the normalized image data into a plurality of wavelet frequency bands. The image processing system also includes a video processor configured to convert the plurality of wavelet frequency bands in the sequential frames into respective visible color images. The system also includes a video display system configured to display the visible color images.
