A receiver device is provided, configured to receive wireless communications. A processor is provided, operatively connected to the sensor system and the receiver device. The processor is programmed to initiate executable operations such as: receiving a signal or information from the at least one sensor of the sensor system; and determining that the signal or information represents or contains information indicative of a theft, vandalism, or unauthorized intrusion into the vehicle. The executable instructions also include obtaining, using the receiving device, identification information from a personal electronic device in proximity of the vehicle.

Vehicle control system and vehicle control device

A vehicle control system includes a first transmitter that transmits a predetermined first signal over a predetermined area, a first receiver and a second receiver that receive second and third signals, a detector that detects the field intensities of the received signals, a second transmitter that transmits a signal through an RF-band radio wave, and an electronic control unit that operates an in-vehicle device based on the third signal received by the first receiver and restrains or prohibits the in-vehicle device from being operated based on the third signal when the field intensity of the third signal is lower than the field intensity of the second signal by a value greater than a predetermined standard.

Unlocking an electric bicycle via a mounted device

Various embodiments provide for a bike-supported communication network that manages and facilitates communications between components of an electric bicycle and a wireless network. In some embodiments, the systems and methods determine that a mobile device associated with the electric bicycle is in contact with a mount disposed on the electric bicycle, and cause a lock assembly to unlock the electric bicycle in response to the determination that the mobile device is in contact with the mount.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PORTABLE USER AND VEHICLE SETTINGS

In an aspect, the present disclosures provides a computer-implemented method for applying user settings to a vehicle, the method comprising receiving user settings for a first vehicle, at a second vehicle, and locking access to the user settings on the second vehicle, the user settings being associated with a user; unlocking access to the user settings on the second vehicle based on: authenticating a user token associated with the user and the user settings, and verifying an identity of the user associated with the user token, and applying the user settings to the second vehicle based on synthesizing the user settings of the first vehicle to the second vehicle.

A method for locking and releasing a securing device of a vehicle coupling of a vehicle includes switching the securing device between a locked state and a released state by a control command output by an authorization unit where the authorization unit outputs the control command after receiving an initiation command transmitted to the authorization unit by an interface and where a wireless communication interface and a local physical interface are useable as the interface. Sensor data, generated by a sensor that monitors surroundings of the vehicle, is transmitted via the wireless communication interface to a control center. The initiation command is transmitted to the vehicle by the control center via the wireless communication interface as a function of the sensor data. When there is no communication connection between the control center and the vehicle, it is only possible to output the initiation command via the local physical interface.
