Automobile Theft Prevention Device
An article of manufacture for providing an automobile theft prevention device according to the present invention is disclosed.
RENTAL CAR AND FLEET KEY RETENTION
A key fob locking device for providing a rental car and fleet key and key fob retention is disclosed. A enclosing case holding two identical key fobs is used to keep the pair of key fobs together. The case includes a locking mechanism to hold a pivoting top piece in place to retain the fobs therein. The sides of the fobs having buttons used by a driver to initiate commands to the corresponding vehicle may be accessed through an open side of the case.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION IN A SMART KEY OF A VEHICLE
The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for reducing power consumption in a smart key of a vehicle. In an exemplary method, an accelerometer in the smart key detects that the smart key is moving. For example, an individual may be carrying the smart key in his/her pocket and walking towards the vehicle. However, an RF transceiver circuit of the smart key may be out of range of a communication system in the vehicle. A processor in the smart key may place some circuits, such as a wakeup receiver, in a power-down condition, based on detecting the moving state of the smart key and a lack of communications between the Bluetooth® transceiver circuit and the communication system of the vehicle. The wakeup receiver typically has a smaller operating range than the RF transceiver circuit and is therefore unnecessary when the smart key is far from the vehicle.
AUTOMATED MONITORING, DETECTION, AND REPORTING OF UNAUTHORIZED MOVEMENT AND/OR THEFT OF VEHICLES AND CARGO
A method and an enhanced electronic logging device (ELD) enable a load lock feature of a vehicle that assists with automated theft detection, reporting, and tracking of stolen vehicles/cargo. The processor of the ELD enables the ELD to register the operator MCD to receive notifications generated by a load lock module and present on a display of the ELD at least one selectable option for activating a load lock of the vehicle, the load lock identifying that the operator has parked the vehicle and has triggered the ELD to report any movement of the vehicle that occurs while the load lock is activated. The processor generates and transmits a notification of unauthorized movement or a potential theft of the vehicle in response to receiving an input from the movement detection device indicating that the vehicle is moving or being moved from a parked location while the load lock is activated.
CAR SHARING SYSTEM
A car sharing system includes a car sharing device that actuates an onboard device by performing communication with an electronic key system through ID verification when a user operates the onboard device in an authentication completion state in which key information has been authenticated through wireless communication with the portable terminal, a radio wave checker that checks radio waves transmitted from the electronic key system in accordance with a state of a vehicle power supply when the onboard device is operated with the portable terminal and a key control request corresponding to the operation with the portable terminal is transmitted from the portable terminal to the car sharing device so that the car sharing device actuates the electronic key system, and a warning controller that issues a warning indicating that one has forgotten to stop the vehicle power supply in accordance with a checking result of the radio wave checker.
System and method for automatically triggering the communication of sensitive information through a vehicle to a third party
A vehicle is provided that determines a first triggering event in predetermined triggering event information has occurred, in response to a first event, automatically forwards a first communication to a selected third party vendor to preorder a product or service of the selected third party vendor in connection with a transaction with the user, determines a second triggering event in the triggering event information has occurred, and in response to the later second event, automatically sends an authorization to complete the transaction by providing financial information to the selected third party vendor.
START BUTTON AND VEHICLE START SWITCH HAVING SAME
The present invention relates to a start button which is provided on one side of a vehicle to start the vehicle by a pressing operation thereof. the start button includes a case having an opened top surface and provided with an accommodation space therein, a cover member attached to the top surface to shield the opened top surface of the case from the outside and made of a transparent or translucent material to see the accommodation space, and a decorative unit disposed in the accommodation space of the case and constituted by any one of a loge, a letter, a trademark, a picture, and a figure or a combination of two or more thereof, and thus the interior of the vehicle can be upgraded to a high quality by providing the decorative portion on the vehicle start switch and pursuing external beauty.
Vehicle theft prevention based on fueling pattern
An embodiment of the invention may include a method, computer program product and computer system for optimizing course understanding. The method, computer program product and computer system may include a computing device to receive fueling location data and vehicle identification data of a vehicle from a radio frequency identification (RFID) transceiver from a plurality of fueling stations. The RFID transceiver may receive the vehicle identification data at the RFID transceiver from a cryptographic RFID transponder as part of the vehicle. The computing device may receive user authentication signals authorizing a plurality of fueling stations from an authorized user of the vehicle. The computing device may determine from the fueling location data, the vehicle identification data, and the user authentication signals one or more fueling patterns. The computing device may detect a fueling location deviating from the one or more fueling patterns send an alert to an authorized device.
VEHICLE REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle-mounted device includes vehicle information detecting unit for detecting an on/off state of vehicle power, relay input/output unit for controlling an external relay configured to make a switch between a starting-disabled state and a starting-enabled state of a vehicle, and vehicle information-associated control unit for controlling the external relay based on a relay control command. The vehicle information-associated control unit controls the external relay based on an elapsed time since a change in the on/off state of vehicle power detected by the vehicle information detecting unit.
Protection Against Relay Attack for Keyless Entry Systems in Vehicles and Systems
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device in which a processing system of a remote entry system selects a first circuit from a plurality of circuits of a key remote from the device; wirelessly transmits a first challenge signal to the key, the first challenge signal specifying the first circuit; and wirelessly receives a first response signal from the key, the first response signal having a first response signal power level and a first response signal delay with respect to the first challenge signal. The processing system analyzes the first response signal by comparing the first response signal power level and the first response signal delay respectively with a predetermined first signal power and predetermined first time delay associated with the first circuit; and, in accordance with the comparing, determines whether to enable the entry system. Other embodiments are disclosed.
