Systems and methods for networked device security
A networked device includes a network input/output and an access control list with a plurality of different available levels of access for entities communicating with the networked device through the network input/output. An access manager is configured to update the access control list from a blockchain via communication with the blockchain through the network input/output.
Method for detecting, blocking and reporting cyber-attacks against automotive electronic control units
The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to protecting automotive electronic control units from cyber-attacks.
Child presence detection warning suppression
A system comprising a radar device and a mobile device. The radar device may be configured to operate when a vehicle is turned off, detect a presence of a person in the vehicle, determine an age range of the person detected and generate an alert signal in response to a presence signal and determining that the age range of the person detected corresponds to a child. The mobile device may be configured to communicate the presence signal to the radar device and determine a movement of the mobile device. The radar device may determine a distance of the mobile device from the vehicle in response to the presence signal. The radar device may suppress the alert signal when the distance of the mobile device is within a predetermined range of the vehicle and the mobile device is moving.
Systems and Methods for Identifying Unauthorized Vehicle Use
Various arrangements for monitoring the unauthorized use of a vehicle are presented. An in-space parking sensor may be used to detect whether a vehicle is present. Data may be obtained indicating that a particular vehicle parking in the parking space that has the in-space parking sensor. A vehicle departure from the parking space may be detected. A determination may be made that departure of the particular vehicle has occurred during the time period. A notification may be output based on determining that the vehicle departure has occurred.
Method for operating a motor vehicle locking system for a motor vehicle, and central server device for a motor vehicle
A method for operating a motor vehicle locking system for a motor vehicle. A central server device receives an unlocking signal having an unlocking instruction about unlocking of at least one closing device of the motor vehicle. The central server device adds a conditional locking instruction to the unlocking signal, which includes after at least one predetermined duration T after unlocking of the at least one closing device of the motor vehicle, checking for a connection criterion and, in the case of an infringed connection criterion, locking the at least one closing device again. The unlocking signal having the unlocking instruction and the added conditional locking instruction is transmitted via a communication connection to a motor-vehicle-internal control device of the motor vehicle.
Method for detecting a contact event on the outer shell of a vehicle and vehicle with a sensor device for detecting contact events on the outer shell of the vehicle
With a method for detecting a contact event on the outer shell of a vehicle, wherein at least one structure-borne sound signal is detected by means of a structure-borne sound sensor, the detected structure-borne sound signal is evaluated by an evaluation device, and wherein the vehicle comprises a number of structure-borne sound sensors, it is provided as essential to the invention that each of the structure-borne sound sensors is associated with an area of the vehicle outer shell via a structure-borne sound conducting link, that an evaluation device is used to ascertain, by which of the structure-borne sound sensors respectively, a structure-borne sound signal has been detected, that conclusions are drawn from the association of the structure-borne sound sensors as to the area of the vehicle outer shell which has been touched, and that conclusions are drawn from the area of the vehicle shell which has been touched, as to the kind of underlying contact.
Systems and methods for identifying unauthorized vehicle use
Various arrangements for monitoring the unauthorized use of a vehicle are presented. An in-space parking sensor may be used to detect whether a vehicle is present. An indication of a time period during which the vehicle is expected to be within the parking space may be received. Using the sensor data obtained from the parking sensor, a vehicle departure from the parking space may be detected. A determination may be made that the vehicle departure is unauthorized due to the vehicle departure occurring during the time period. An alarm indication may be output based on determining that the vehicle departure is unauthorized.
Method for starting vehicle and related device
A method for starting a vehicle and a related device are provided. The method includes: a server sends first security information and second security information to a mobile terminal and a telematics box respectively through an encrypted secure transmission channel or an encrypted secure transmission protocol, so that the telematics box can verify, by using the first security information and the second security information, a vehicle start instruction sent by the mobile terminal. When the verification succeeds, the telematics box controls the vehicle to start. According to the application, plaintext transmission of the security information between the mobile terminal and the telematics box is avoided, thereby avoiding leakage of the security information, and reducing a risk that the vehicle is maliciously started. In addition, a transmission process of the security information may not be restricted by a distance between the vehicle and the mobile terminal.
