There is provided a delivery unit for a cleaning system and a method of operation. The delivery unit has a liquid nozzle for delivering a liquid jet and directing the liquid jet towards a surface of a sensor system, an air nozzle for delivering an air jet and directing the air jet towards the surface of the sensor system, and a deflection orifice for delivering an other air jet for deflecting the liquid jet away from the air nozzle. The liquid nozzle is located proximate to the air nozzle. The air nozzle and the deflection orifice are in fluid communication with a single air manifold.

The airflow device may be configured to provide an airflow about the lens of the sensor. The airflow provided to the lens may be a constant flow of air about the lens at a low pressure and/or bursts of air about the lens at a higher pressure.

The present invention relates to a windshield and wiper blade deicing system. The system is designed to use a plurality of vents that are angled to blow out or direct warm air from the vehicle engine and heater of the vehicle towards the windshield and wiper blades for quickly melting ice and snow thereon. The plurality of vents can be disposed near, or proximal to, the base of the windshield and the vehicle hood. The system uses internal warm air generated from the vehicle engine, and the heater of the vehicle and control same with a deicing controller. The system can be controlled by a plurality of control buttons disposed on a dashboard of the vehicle. The system can also be controlled remotely by a key fob of the vehicle.

A sensor assembly includes a sensor including a sensor lens, a casing mounted to the sensor, and a fluid nozzle mounted to the casing. The casing at least partially defines a duct positioned to outlet airflow across the sensor lens, and the duct defines a direction of airflow. The fluid nozzle is aimed through the duct in the direction of airflow.

Provided is an air housing apparatus for protecting, from contamination, scratches, damage and the like, a lens and a cover glass which affect the performance of an optical device installed on a vehicle such as a camera and LIDAR. The air housing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a cover into which high pressure air is fed; an air guide for injecting the supplied high pressure air toward the front surface of a lens or a sensor; and an air housing provided so as to connect the cover and the air guide and transferring the high pressure air supplied from the cover to the air guide. Therefore, a lens, sensor, or cover glass of a vehicle-installed optical device such as a camera and LIDAR can be continually protected from contamination and scratches by means of the injected air. In addition, energy efficiency can be enhanced by controlling the discharge pressure of air provided by an air pressure generation apparatus on the basis of information relating to the running speed and RPM of the vehicle or the air flow direction and air flow velocity.

DATA ACQUISITION MODULE FOR AN AGRICULTURAL MACHINE AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND ASSEMBLIES

In one aspect, a system for acquiring data associated with an agricultural field. The system includes an agricultural machine and a data acquisition (DAQ) module supported relative to the agricultural machine. The DAQ module includes a module housing and one or more sensing devices housed within the module housing. The one or more sensing device are configured to generate data associated with a condition of a field as the agricultural machine travels across the field. In addition, the system includes an air circulation system provided in operative association with the DAQ module that is configured to direct an airflow into an interior of the module housing for circulation therein.
