CLEANING DEVICE

A cleaning device includes a housing, an air driver, an ozone generator, and a catalyst. The housing defines an internal cavity. The housing has a first portion defining a first chamber of the internal cavity, a second portion defining a second chamber of the internal cavity, and an intermediate portion extending between the first portion and the second portion, and defining an intermediate chamber. The first chamber is connected to an inlet of the housing. The first portion having a first width. The second chamber is connected to an outlet of the housing. The second portion has a second width greater than the first width. The first portion, the intermediate portion, and the second portion are linearly aligned along a longitudinal axis of the housing. The air driver is positioned within the first chamber. The ozone generator is positioned within the intermediate chamber. The catalyst is positioned within the second chamber.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE SANITIZING MODE

Methods and systems are provided for heat sanitizing a vehicle. In one example, a method may include, responsive to receiving a request for sanitization of a vehicle interior, operating a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system to heat the vehicle interior above an upper threshold temperature for a threshold duration. In this way, the HVAC system may be advantageously used to expose the vehicle interior to temperatures that kill or inactive microbes.

Vehicle management system and vehicle management method
11748671 · 2023-09-05 · ·

A vehicle management system, an on-vehicle system, and a vehicle management method are described that are capable of providing a vehicle to a user where an odor level in the vehicle fulfills a predetermined criterion. The vehicle management system selects a provision option of the vehicle, corresponding to the odor level if the odor level does not fulfill the predetermined criterion, and executes notification or vehicle control associated with the provision option.

Reducing pathogen transmission in autonomous vehicle fleet
11618478 · 2023-04-04 · ·

An autonomous vehicle (AV) implements a health protocol that may reduce pathogen transmission between users of the AV. The AV is equipped with a thermal sensor that captures a body temperature of a user. The AV compares the user's temperature to a threshold temperature, and if the user's temperature exceeds the threshold temperature, the AV performs checks to ensure that the user's planned trip follows current regulations or recommendations. For example, the AV confirms that the user is traveling between the user's home and a healthcare facility. If the trip is permitted, the AV enables the user to enter the AV. The AV may include a disinfectant system for disinfecting the passenger compartment or surfaces after the user exits the AV.

Remote user interface commanded vehicle interior sanitization

A vehicle comprising an interior; a heat source in thermal communication with the interior; a source of ultraviolet light disposed to emit the ultraviolet light into the interior; and a controller in communication with the heat source and the source of the ultraviolet light, the controller configured to cause (i) the heat source to increase a temperature of the interior, (ii) the source of the ultraviolet light to emit the ultraviolet light into the interior, or (iii) both (i) and (ii) upon receiving a command from a remote user interface. The vehicle can further include a combustion engine that combusts fuel to propel the vehicle. The vehicle can further include a battery in electrical communication with the source of the ultraviolet light and in communication with the controller, the battery having a voltage.
