Portable devices for exercising muscles in the ankle, foot, and/or leg, and related methods
A method of exercising includes positioning a foot of a user onto a pedal of an exercise device. The pedal is pivotably connected to a pair of supports forming a triangular base and has a neutral position relative to a pivot axis of the device. The method includes applying a first force to the pedal to rotate the pedal about the pivot axis in a first direction, toward a first support. The method includes resisting movement of the pedal toward the first support with a resistance mechanism of the device. The method includes applying a second force to the pedal to rotate the pedal about the pivot axis in a second direction, opposite the first direction, toward a second support and away from the first support. The method includes resisting movement of the pedal toward the second support with the resistance mechanism of the device.
Therapy and physical training device
A therapy and physical training system, comprising one or more movement sensors each of which positioned on a corresponding body part of a user, a first computer on a processor of which an application is running and a head mounted housing which is configured with a display on which images generated by the first computer are visible to the user. The application is configured to receive inputs from each of the sensors or from a second computer in data communication with each of the sensors, the application also configured to generate, in response to a real-time disposition of each of the corresponding body parts during performance of an exercise related body movement, a virtual reality object viewable by the user, the object being indicative of an additional body movement to be made by the user in order to conform with a user-specific exercise program.
Stretching tool
A stretching tool includes: two spheres of identical size, each with a two-layer structure consisting of an inner shell and an elastic outer covering layer which is affixed to the surface of the inner shell and which has a hardness relatively less than that of the inner shell; and a connecting section that connects the inner shells of the two spheres so that an extended axial center line passes through the centers thereof. The spheres' exterior surfaces have ridges that have saw-blade-shaped cross-sections and extend over the extended axial center line continuously from an end section on the outermost side of each of the two spheres toward the connecting section.
TENSION LOOP FOR YOGA
The application provides a yoga tension ring for fitness use, including a tension ring body, the two sides of the yoga tension ring which are in contact with the human body will not curl due to the stretching during the fitness use of stride, buttock bridge, thigh, buttock, up and down squat, lateral movement, etc., and the side of the tension loop body in contact with the human body is detachably provided with an anti-curling device for preventing the curling of the two sides of the tension loop body due to stretching during movement.
Spinal cord and meninges stretching frame and method to prevent and treat the root cause of scoliosis
The progress of what has previously been considered idiopathic scoliosis it is arrested and corrected by exercises that gradually stretch the spinal cord to catch and keep up with bone growth. An inventive frame enables such exercises by precluding the movement of the spinal column that is a result of the shorter spinal cord.
YOGA BAND AND METHOD OF USING SAID YOGA BAND TO PERFORM A YOGA POSE
A yoga band is configured with a retainer band loop for donning around a hand, wrist or foot and both an inner pose strap and an outer pose strap that may be elastic to enable stretching and holding of poses. The inner pose strap and an outer pose enable different levels or extensions for performing yoga poses, or a progressive stretching from the outer pose strap to the inner pose strap, for example. A yogi may extend the outer pose strap initially, as it may extend further than the inner pose strap, and therefore may be easier to reach and hold the yoga pose. As the yogi progresses, they may extend the inner pose strap which is shorter in length, thereby achieving a greater stretch. The inner and outer pose straps are coupled with a retainer strap component of the retainer band loop to provide a secure support.
Elbow and wrist stretching device
The present invention comprises a novel stretching device for the stretching the wrist and elbow as part of the treatment for lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) and medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow). Consisting of a vertically (normally wall) mounted device with different embodiments being designed for lateral and medial epicondylitis ailments. For tennis elbow the device includes an angular support projecting from a padded vertical section where the back of the hand is placed. This angular support gradually pushes the back of the fingers guiding the hand into a fist, the optimal stretch for tennis elbow. The golfer's elbow version is designed to accept a palm out fingers up hand. It has a finger and compressible palm support section of different depths, the differences support a gentle stretch of the fingers, when the palm is pushed forward and away from the body.
MANUAL ORAL CAVITY EXPANSION DEVICE
An improved manual oral cavity expansion device comprising a fixing element with one end connected with a first holding element, and another end forming an accommodating portion protrudingly disposed with a pivoting portion; at least one linkage element disposed on the fixing element; a rotating element accommodated in an accommodating space of the accommodating portion and sleeved on the pivoting portion; a movable element with one end connected with a second holding element, and another end forming a movable portion correspondingly disposed in the accommodating space and sleeved on the pivoting portion; and an expansion unit. An outer circumference of the rotating element is arranged with a plurality of tooth elements in a row, and one end of the linkage element contacts the tooth elements. The expansion unit has a first expansion arm connected to the accommodating portion and a second expansion arm connected to the movable portion.
STRETCHING APPARATUS
Example aspects of a stretching apparatus and a method for stretching a user's body are disclosed. The stretching apparatus can comprise an elongate support bar defining a bar first end and a bar second end opposite the bar first end; and a body stretching attachment coupled to the elongate support bar, the body stretching attachment comprising a primary strap, a first strap connector, and a second strap connector, wherein the primary strap comprises a flexible, inelastic material, and wherein the elongate support bar engages each of the first strap connector and second strap connector.
Stretching exercise equipment
An exercise equipment arranged on a floor so as to surround an exerciser and to have a frame having a shape that lacks one side of a rectangle, includes a first longitudinal horizontal bar connected to the frame, arranged at a predetermined height from the frame, and aligned in a depth direction, a first transverse horizontal bar connected to the frame, having one end thereof connected to the first longitudinal horizontal bar, and aligned in a direction different from the first longitudinal horizontal bar, a vertical bar connected to the frame, and having a height from the frame that is higher than the first transverse horizontal bar, and a second longitudinal horizontal bar connected to the frame, arranged in parallel to the first longitudinal horizontal bar, and spaced from another end of the first transverse horizontal bar.
