Anchor for exercise system
10946233 · 2021-03-16 ·

A kit provides an anchor for an exercise system. The kit includes a mount having spaced-apart first and second knuckles configured (i) to span interlaced knuckles of first and second leaves of a standard hinge assembly that mounts a door in a frame in an opening, the interlaced set of knuckles defining a passageway for receiving an original hinge pin, and (ii) to define a channel having a diameter sufficient to accommodate the diameter of the hinge pin. The kit also includes a replacement hinge pin, which, when inserted into the channel and the passageway, reaches the first and second knuckles of the mount defining the channel, and transforms the mount to the anchor.

Stretching devices
10925795 · 2021-02-23 ·

A device for stretching either the quadriceps or hamstring muscles of an individual's legs while the individual is in a standing position. The device includes a frame assembly and a rotational mount connected thereto. A stretching member is rotationally mounted on the rotational mount intermediate its ends to provide a first section extending on one side of the rotational mount and a second section extending on a second side of the rotational mount. The stretching member includes a foot support adjacent a distal end of the first section spaced from the rotational mount and a gripping member adjacent a distal end of the second section spaced from the rotational mount. The gripping member is engageable by an individual in a standing position to apply a rotational force to the stretching member with the individual's foot on the foot support to stretch either the quadriceps or hamstring muscles of the individual's legs.

PORTABLE DEVICES FOR EXERCISING MUSCLES IN THE ANKLE, FOOT, AND/OR LEG, AND RELATED METHODS

A method of exercising includes positioning a foot of a user onto a pedal of an exercise device. The pedal is pivotably connected to a pair of supports forming a triangular base and has a neutral position relative to a pivot axis of the device. The method includes applying a first force to the pedal to rotate the pedal about the pivot axis in a first direction, toward a first support. The method includes resisting movement of the pedal toward the first support with a resistance mechanism of the device. The method includes applying a second force to the pedal to rotate the pedal about the pivot axis in a second direction, opposite the first direction, toward a second support and away from the first support. The method includes resisting movement of the pedal toward the second support with the resistance mechanism of the device.

Stretching apparatus

Example aspects of a stretching apparatus and a method of stretching are disclosed. The stretching apparatus can comprise an elongate support bar defining a bar first end and a bar second end opposite the bar first end; and a neck stretching attachment coupled to the elongate support bar, the neck stretching attachment comprising a head strap, a chin strap, and a bar attachment, wherein each of the head strap and chin strap comprises a flexible, inelastic material, and wherein the elongate support bar engages the bar attachment between the bar first end and the bar second end.

Stretching device to restore and protect against the negative effects of prolonged sitting
11850200 · 2023-12-26 · ·

The device and methods disclosed herein allow an individual to create and sustain a differential stretch to the anterior muscles and ligaments of the torso, hips and legs. The device includes a base frame, a vertical member secured to the base frame, a rotational lift lever secured to the vertical member at a pivot point, a lower extremity elevation member secured to the rotational lift lever, and at least one lower extremity attachment device secured to the lower extremity elevation member. In use, the device lifts an individual's legs above the ground, while the person is lying face down, so as to create a stretch in the anterior muscles, fascia, or ligaments. The device has various planes of rotation, allowing for differential stretching in various quadrants of the torso. The device is adjustable in height as well as displacement along a track within the base to accommodate different body types.

Exercise board

Portable exercise incline board devices and methods for exercise and balance fitness that can be easily assembled, disassembled and transported. The incline board can be assembled from a generally rectangular top ice with raised upper surface, along with a pair of right triangle support pieces and a rear vertical piece wherein raised protrusions align into mateable grooves so that the pieces slide and lock together for assembly and slide apart for disassembly.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXTENSION AND STRETCHING OF THE SPINE CALLED “A POLE” SIMULATOR
20210031070 · 2021-02-04 ·

The method and apparatus for stretching, i.e., the so-called A POLE simulator, consists of one or two or more curved planks with several round apertures along the planks, which apertures serve for inserting upper cylindrical handles perpendicular to the planks, onto which cylindrical handles a patient holds onto with both of her/his hands, while pressing his/her forehead against the plank(s), thus stretching his/her spine, with the bottom ends of the planks containing round apertures for inserting lower cylindrical handles, onto which two foam rollers are pulled, in order to ensure comfort of the user when the roller is stuck into the crevasse or space between the upper thigh and the bottom of the stomach in the user's sitting position, and where by increasing the forward incline of the torso progressively in 5-10 degree increments and holding a fixed position at 10-15 second intervals until a maximum stretching distance forward is reached, after which the user returns in the initial position by moving the torso backwards in 5-10 degree increments (hereinafter the simulator) is intended for decompression of the spinal column, which effectively relieves stress, stretches and weakens the muscles of the back, muscles of the abdomen and chest. The simulator is a curved rod made of solid material In the upper part of the rod there are a number of holes, they serve to insert the upper crossbar perpendicular to the rod. The user, depending on his height, sets the crossbar to the required height and grabs the crossbar with both hands. In the lower part of the rod there is a hole for inserting the lower crossbar, on which shock absorbers are installed on both sides, which provide comfort to the user. The lower bar is placed under the stomach to the user's pelvic bone in a sitting position. By increasing the dosed tilt and holding the user's body forward for several seconds, the spinal column is decompressed, tension is relieved, back muscles, abdominal and chest muscles are stretched and relaxed. The device uses harnesses for people with disabilities to secure the arms of a disable person through armpits to the upper bar thus ensuring that the person is able to do the exercises. The angle of the tilt is determined by a tilt angle indicator bubble level located on rod or plank. The device is also designed to be portable and foldable in half in the middle of the plan or rod by using a hinge and a latch.

An expendable and transportable bag is disclosed. In one embodiment, a stretchable reusable bag hidden inside a lanyard keychain is now readily available to carry goods in a moment's notice of under 5 seconds. An attachment device enables the Sneakey-Bag to consistently be with the consumer, for example, with the consumer's keys or ID card and can be put away entirely in the lanyard in 3 to 5 seconds.

Targeted vibration therapy systems and methods

This application discloses systems and methods of applying vibration to a targeted area on an individual that is experiencing pain, discomfort, or other musculoskeletal symptoms. Steps of the method include lengthening followed by oscillation and vibration. The lengthening step requires positioning the individual (e.g., with the help of a stretching cage) such that the individual experiences a stretching sensation in a targeted area (e.g., a group of muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc.). Next, the individual oscillates in and out of that lengthened position while vibration is applied to the targeted area. It has been discovered that these techniques can bring about dramatic and quick improvements in flexibility and range of motion, while also diminishing symptoms like pain and discomfort.

Knee renew
20210022939 · 2021-01-28 ·

A knee traction/decompression system used for the treatment of knee disorders by effectively applying a desired traction/decompression force to relieve pain, stimulate healing by opening pathways to the knee articulation while maintaining the basic comfort of the patient The system employs a rotational separation of the associated bones of the knee joint via a fulcrum that is positioned between two side rails. The side rails are connected by the end rails which create a stationary platform. An adjustable retracting device containing a cord attached to a strap placed and secured around the foot which is then manually moved relative to the platform. The knee is placed over the fulcrum and the retracting device is pulled in a direction as to allow a traction/decompression force on the knee articulation. The fulcrum action separates the knee articulation by applying a pulling force to the foot harness relative to the platform creating a long lever.
