DRYER FOR AIR SUSPENSION

A housing includes an air introduction flow passage, an air discharge flow passage, and a desiccant agent accommodated in the housing. One end portion of the housing is at a lower side of the housing in a vertical direction aligned with the axial direction. An air-liquid separation chamber is formed at a bottom portion of the housing, and includes an air supply passage supplying air to the desiccant agent at an upper housing surface, and is communicated with the air introduction flow passage and the air discharge flow passage to separate moisture in the air introduced from the air introduction flow passage. An adsorption member is accommodated in the air-liquid separation chamber to adsorb moisture separated in the air-liquid separation chamber. Air introduced from the air introduction flow passage is supplied to an air suspension device through the adsorption member and the desiccant agent.

A vehicular air supply system includes: a first air operation mechanism which is operated at an air pressure of a first pressure value or less; a second air operation mechanism which is operated at an air pressure of a second pressure value or less, the second pressure value being lower than the first pressure value; a compressed air generator which generates compressed air to be supplied to the first air operation mechanism and the second air operation mechanism; and a first discharge air supply unit which supplies air discharged from the first air operation mechanism to the second air operation mechanism when a pressure value of the air discharged from the first air operation mechanism is higher than a pressure value of the air supplied from the compressed air generator to the second air operation mechanism.

RAIL VEHICLE

A rail vehicle includes an electric drive including a housing and power semiconductors arranged in the housing, and a braking system configured for operation with compressed air. The housing and the braking system are interconnected such as to enable supply of compressed air from the braking system to an interior of the housing. A depressurization device is arranged between the housing and the braking system such as to enable compressed air which is supplied to the housing to be depressurized prior to being supplied to the interior of the housing.

Parking brake system

A parking brake system for electrically controlling a parking brake of a vehicle is provided. The parking brake system includes a parking brake provided for each wheel, an air dryer controller, and an actuator. The air dryer controller is provided to an air dryer to electrically control the parking brake. The air dryer dries compressed air for use in the parking brake. The actuator is provided for each axle of the wheel to actuate the parking brake with the compressed air in accordance with an electric signal from the air dryer controller.

AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM

An air supply system to be mounted in or on a railway vehicle or commercial vehicle comprises a compressor device for producing compressed air, an air dryer device for dehumidifying the compressed air, and a housing for enclosing the compressor device and the air dryer device. Furthermore, a cooling is provided which can be operated independently of the operating mode of the compressor device.

Drain valve

A drain valve for a compressed air brake system of a vehicle comprises a valve housing defining a valve chamber open at one end and a drain aperture at the opposite end. A poppet has a poppet body at least partially received in the valve chamber and provided with a seal. The poppet is slidable between a closed position in which the poppet and the seal contact the inner wall of the valve housing around the drain aperture thereby closing the drain aperture, and an open position moved away from the drain aperture. A spring urges the poppet to the closed position. The poppet and the seal are incorporated in a single multi-component injection molded plastic part comprising at least two components. The poppet body is formed of a first plastic component and the seal is formed of a second plastic component partially embedded in the first plastic component.

Combined oil and water separator in an air brake dryer

A filter assembly for separating and removing a liquid from a compressed fluid stream includes a filter element for separating the liquid from the fluid, a purge valve, and an elongated valve operator for actuating the purge valve. The top of the filter element has a shroud that decreases the flow area of the entering fluid stream to induce a vortex of the fluid, allowing the liquid to separate from the fluid. The purge valve is located at the bottom of the filter element for draining the separated liquid. The elongated valve operator axially extends through the filter element and is moveable by an actuating piston located at the top of the filter element, in response to elevated pressure in the filter assembly. The filtered air is dried through a desiccant body and then outputted from the filter assembly to be used in an air brake system.

ADSORPTION DRYING UNIT

A pressure swing adsorption drying unit which includes at least one of a sensor (46) for the ambient temperature to which the drying unit is exposed, and a sensor (46) for the temperature of the gas stream in the inlet line (2) to the unit, and the threshold value for the humidity of the gas stream in the outlet line (42) is determined dependent on the measured temperature.

Device for the detachable fastening of a drying agent cartridge to a housing of a compressed-air treatment installation of a vehicle

A device is provided for the detachable fastening of a drying agent cartridge to a housing of a compressed-air treatment installation of a vehicle, in particular of a utility vehicle. The device includes at least one fastening plate, having a first section, which is crimped to an end region of a crimped plate of a cartridge base and to an end region of a cartridge cover to form a connecting seam, and a second section, which projects outward from the connecting seam.

Oil separator

An oil separator is provided that restrains cleaned air from entraining collected liquid. An oil separator causes purge air, which has flowed into a case from an air dryer, to strike an impingement member, to separate oil, thereby recovering liquid containing oil and discharging cleaned air. The oil separator includes, inside the case, a baffle plate, which restrains cleaned air from coming contacting collected liquid.
