A method for operating a braking system of a motor vehicle equipped with a wheel-slip control device, wherein the braking system includes an electrohydraulic service brake, set to generate braking forces independently of an actuation by an operator. The system having a mechanical or electromechanical parking brake actuated by an actuating element, and acting, in particular, on the rear wheels of the motor vehicle. An operator-side intent to actuate the parking brake is recognized and subsequently during the actuation of the parking brake a hydraulic pressure of the service brake is generated that acts on at least one rear wheel, of the motor vehicle capable of being braked by the parking brake. The hydraulic pressure sufficient to assist the parking brake and correspondingly lock the rear wheel of the motor vehicle braked by the parking brake during travel of the motor vehicle.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ACTUATING VALVES

A device for actuating valves and determines an actuation duration for a valve of a target system from a specified actuation duration for a valve of a reference system with which a required pressure change can be achieved in the reference system in order to achieve the required pressure change in the target system. The device ascertains the effective valve opening time belonging to the specified actuation duration for the valve of the reference system, calculates the effective opening time of the valve of the target system from the effective opening time said opening time of the valve of the target system being used to achieve the same pressure change in the target system as in the reference system, and then determines a valve actuation duration required to achieve the effective opening time of the valve of the target system.

VEHICLE BRAKING DEVICE

A vehicle braking device of a by-wire type includes an actuator configured to flow out a fluid in a subject wheel cylinder among the plurality of wheel cylinders to flow towards the master chamber upon pressure decreasing control for the subject wheel cylinder under an ABS control execution and a control portion executing a first control controlling the driving portion such that an increasing amount of the master pressure under a pressure increasing control becomes great or a decreasing amount thereof under a pressure decreasing control becomes small and/or executes a second control which controls the driving portion such that the increasing amount of the master pressure under the pressure increasing control becomes small or the decreasing amount thereof under the pressure decreasing control of the master pressure becomes great.

Method for monitoring a hydraulic brake system for a motor vehicle and brake system

A method for monitoring a hydraulic brake system for a motor vehicle, wherein a diagnostic valve is omitted and, instead, air volume and leakage are identified by a volume balance during generation of a dynamic pressure. An associated brake system is also disclosed.

HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR, VEHICLE AXLE ARRANGEMENT COMPRISING A HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR, AND ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLABLE HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM

A hydraulic actuator for supplying a hydraulic brake pressure to service brakes of a vehicle includes an actuator cylinder including a piston. A hydraulic working pressure of a brake fluid can be set in accordance with a position of the piston. The brake fluid is supplied from a hydraulic reservoir assigned to the hydraulic cylinder, and the hydraulic working pressure prevails in a working space of the actuator cylinder and can be output via an actuator output port on the actuator cylinder in order to supply a hydraulic brake pressure in accordance with the hydraulic working pressure. The hydraulic actuator further includes an electrically controllable motor. A rotary motion brought about by the electrically controllable motor can be converted by a conversion mechanism into a translational motion of the piston parallel to a longitudinal direction thus enabling a hydraulic brake pressure to be supplied by electric control of the motor.

Method for determining a pressure/volume characteristic curve of a wheel brake

Method and system for determining a pressure/volume characteristic curve of a wheel brake in a motor vehicle brake system having an electrically controllable pressure supply device connected hydraulically to wheel brakes and can output a pressure medium volume for activating the wheel brakes. The pressure medium volume which is output by the pressure supply device can be determined. An electrically actuable inlet valve per wheel brake disconnects the connection between the wheel brake and the pressure supply device. During one or more service brake operations of the motor vehicle wheel brakes are activated by the pressure supply device, the pressure medium volume output by the pressure supply device in order to activate the wheel brakes is determined and the pressure/volume characteristic curves of the wheel brakes are determined on the basis of pressure medium volumes output by the pressure supply device during one or more service braking operations are determined.

BRAKING CONTROL FOR RAIL VEHICLES WITH ADAPTIVE LINING CHARACTERISTIC CURVE

The invention relates to a device and a method for controlling a braking device of a rail vehicle, wherein a pressure characteristic curve of the braking device is changed by means of characteristic curve change device as a function of a frictional characteristic of a type of brake lining used in the braking device.

METHOD FOR DETECTING A LEAK OF A HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE

A method for detecting a leak of a hydraulic brake system of a vehicle having at least two wheel brakes. A slip control of the wheel brake assigned to the respective vehicle wheel is carried out by a respective pressure modulation unit. The pressure medium volume delivered by a brake pressure source is detected. A pressure sensor output identifies a model value for the pressure value detected by the pressure sensor. A differential value is determined which indicates the difference between the pressure medium volume delivered and the model value, and the differential value is compared with a threshold, and a leak is reported if the differential value exceeds the threshold.

In a method for the automatic parameterization of a braking system in a vehicle, a brake pressure profile is predefined as a test run during a test drive operation, and the wheel slip which thereafter arises is ascertained. If the wheel slip is outside a permissible value range, the brake pressure is modified and a new test run is carried out.
