Vehicle control system
A vehicle control system is provided to improve a response and an acceleration feel of a vehicle having a continuously variable transmission. The vehicle control system is configured to control an output power of a prime mover and a speed ratio of a transmission in such a manner that an actual driving force is increased stepwise to the required driving force to be achieved by a kick-downshifting so as to temporarily hold an increase in an acceleration during execution of the kick-downshifting.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR VEHICLE
A controller includes a control unit configured to perform stepwise shift that upshifts a CVT in a stepped manner to accelerate a vehicle. The control unit performs a downshift control configured to downshift the continuously variable transmission in a case in which an accelerator pedal is continuously stepped on from before prohibition of the stepwise shift to after prohibition of the stepwise shift.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMISSION GEAR SELECTION IN A PARALLEL-HYBRID POWERTRAIN SYSTEM
A hybrid powertrain system includes an internal combustion engine and a transmission arranged in a parallel configuration with a non-combustion torque machine to transfer traction power to a driveline. A method of controlling the hybrid powertrain system includes monitoring vehicle speed and an accelerator pedal position and determining a traction power command based thereon. A motor power that is input to the driveline from the torque machine is determined, and an adjusted engine power command is determined based upon the traction power command and the motor power from the torque machine. An adjusted accelerator pedal position is determined based upon the adjusted engine power command and the vehicle speed, and a preferred transmission state is determined based upon the adjusted accelerator pedal position and the vehicle speed. The transmission is controlled to the preferred transmission state.

Vehicle and Control Method of Vehicle
In a vehicle including an engine, drive wheels, a power transmission system, and an electronic control unit, during shifting of an automatic transmission, a hydraulic command value of a clutch is set to a higher value as an engine power command value is larger, so that a shift or change of the speed ratio proceeds in an electronic continuously variable transmission and the automatic transmission, in accordance with engine power as a product of the engine speed and engine torque, rather than torque of the engine, etc.
VEHICLE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM
There is provided a vehicle engine control system that includes engine and transmission control functions and enables evacuation driving to be readily performed. A monitoring control circuit unit and an error processing circuit unit monitors controlling operation of a main control circuit unit; when the occurrence frequency of valve-opening control abnormality becomes larger than threshold value, a first storage circuit stores the occurrence frequency, and driving of an intake valve control motor is stopped to set to fixed opening degree; when transmission-control abnormality is occurs, power supply to automatic transmission is stopped to set to the third speed fixation ratio; when an abnormality occurs, evacuation driving is implemented using fixed opening degree and automatic transmission ratio, variable rotation speed and fixed transmission ratio, or fixed opening degree and fixed transmission ratio. When valve-opening control abnormality or transmission-control abnormality occurs, fuel injection control is prevented from being inappropriately stopped.
MULTI-MODE INFINITELY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION THAT PROVIDES SEAMLESS SHIFTING
An infinitely variable transmission (IVT) provides a plurality of transmission modes. At least one mode is a serial mode and at least one other mode is a split-path mode. The IVT provides substantially seamless shifting between the plurality of transmission modes.
Method of Shifting a Transmission
A method of controlling a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) simulates a step-ratio transmission upshift. To simulate a step-ratio torque phase, the input torque is gradually reduced before beginning to change the variator ratio. Then, as the variator ratio is changed, the input torque is gradually increased to compensate for the decreasing torque ratio, simulating the relatively constant output torque of an inertia phase of a step-ratio upshift.
