Avalanche transceiver and method for operating an avalanche transceiver
The invention relates to an avalanche transceiver, having a transmitting unit for transmitting at least one transmit signal, a receiving unit for receiving at least one transmit signal from at least one further avalanche transceiver, and a control device for controlling at least one loudspeaker. The control device is designed to control the at least one loudspeaker to output at least one voice message on the basis of at least one event. The at least one event is associated with a search for the at least one further avalanche transceiver. The invention further relates to a method for operating such an avalanche transceiver.
SURACE SURVEILANCE BY UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES
Videography of surfaces and improved positional control of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are disclosed. Embodiments include defining a plane relative a vertical or semi-vertical surface. Linearly scanning along a line parallel to the plane. The plane being defined by three non-colinear points. The linear scanning along the plane is defined by a defined distance from the plane to the surface. The scanning including distance sensor scanning. The distance sensor scanning creating a model of the surface. The distance sensor scanning can include sound-based or light-based distance measurement scanning. The surveillance scanning can further include capture of imagery of the surface along the linear scanning along the plane.
DEVICE TO ASSIST WITH UNTYING ROPE KNOTS
A device to assist with untying rope knots comprises an elongate body having a first end and a second end. There is an enlarged tip portion extending from the first end of the elongate body. The enlarged tip portion increases in diameter from a proximal end thereof to an intermediate portion and decreases in diameter from the intermediate portion to a distal end thereof. The enlarged tip portion is configured to be inserted into a loose knot in a rope so that the enlarged tip portion inhibits the device from slipping out of the knot after the knot is tightened. When removing the device from the knot, the enlarged tip portion further expands the knot relative to the elongate body so as to facilitate untying the knot.
Devices formed of interconnected components
In the disclosed devices formed from interconnected components, each includes a yoke component, a boss component and an axle bolt. The yoke component includes: a carabiner body with a back, an opening, and a yoke formation. The yoke formation includes a U-shaped section open to the outside of the body, defining a space between two legs, the legs having bearing surfaces through each of which a respective axle bore is formed. The back extends from the yoke formation. A spur extends from the yoke formation. A gate on the body pivots between closed and open positions. The boss component has flat, parallel external bearing surfaces, an axle bore extending through the boss component, the axle bore opening at each bearing surface. The axle bolt passes through the axle bores in the yoke and boss component.

Spring Force Bolt Hanger
An improved bolt hanger defines a hanger that exerts an outward force on the bolt that secures the hanger to a rock wall, urging the bolt outwardly under tension, and thereby helping to prevent the bolt from coming loose over time. The improved bolt hanger has a concave shape formed into it centered around the bolt hole. As the bolt is tightened into the bore in the rock, the head of the bolt (and/or an underlying washer) causes the concave portion to compress. This compression causes the concave portion of the hanger to exert an outward force on the bolt, which makes loosening the bolt more difficult. Furthermore, the hanger according to the present invention has a complex geometry on the rock-contacting surface that aids in the prevention of rotation of the hanger when under load. The bolt hanger may be used with a modified bolt adapted for use with the improved hanger.
Tower Positioner
A climbing tool for work positioning on a rope, usable as an ascender, speed control descender, lanyard rope grab and fall arrest device. The tool is for use with a single rope, a doubled rope or in a two line configuration.

CARABINER RETRIEVAL DEVICES, CARABINERS, AND METHODS OF USE
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to carabiners, carabiner retrieval devices and systems, and methods of retrieving a carabiner. In an embodiment, a carabiner retrieval device includes a neck, a retention device, and a retrieval cord retention structure. The neck has a length and includes a first end spaced from a second end along the length. The retention device extends from the first end of the neck at an obtuse angle relative to the length of the neck, and is configured to be attached to a gate of a carabiner. The retrieval cord retention structure extends from the second end of the neck, and is configured to retain a retrieval cord. When the retrieval cord is coupled to the retrieval cord retention structure and the retrieval cord retention device is attached to the gate of the carabiner, the gate opens responsive to the retrieval cord being pulled in a predetermined direction.
