Belay descender device on a rope with gearing-down and anti-panic blocking
A belay descender device for a rope comprising a cam mounted rotating on a fixed flange to perform locking of the rope when said rope is under tension, and a lever articulated on the cam to perform progressive unlocking of the rope with a geared-down effect at the beginning of unlocking travel of the lever. The operating lever comprises transmission means collaborating with a guide ramp of the flange to interrupt the mechanical link with the cam after an intermediate position of the lever has been passed resulting in freeing from said ramp outside the gearing-down area. The end of the guide ramp of the flange corresponds to the anti-panic position of the transmission means, enabling automatic locking of the cam as soon as the gearing-down area has been passed.

Danger avoidance apparatus and method of use
The present disclosure provides danger avoidance apparatuses and related methods, such as for use to avoid avalanches. An apparatus may include a container configured to couple to a user, a lift providing mechanism, a descent control mechanism and at least one rip cord engaged with the container and selectively operable by the user. Both the lift providing mechanism and the descent control mechanism may be movably coupled to the container between a packed position within the container and a deployed position exterior to the container controlled via the at least one rip cord. The lift providing mechanism may include an airfoil that provides lift to the user at a first velocity of the user along a first direction. The descent control mechanism may control the descent and reduce the velocity of the user along the first direction from the first velocity in the deployed position.
Hitch-minding pulleys
A hitch-minding pulley comprising at least one pulley sheave rotatably fixed between the arms of a split yoke, the arms being swivelable about the rotational axis of the or each pulley sheave to allow access for a pulley engaging climbing rope, the body of the yoke being split into two parts, each body part having a respective yoke arm extending therefrom, the body parts having multiple corresponding pairs of apertures for collectively receiving, in use, a plurality of carabiners, wherein at least one of the pairs of apertures is a curved slot, the outer curvature of which being generally oriented inward towards the or each pulley sheave.
AVALANCHE SHOVEL AND TENT
An avalanche shovel has a shaft and a grip section that is formed and/or arranged at one shaft end The avalanche shovel has an avalanche probe which can be arranged in the shaft of the avalanche shovel, wherein the grip section exhibits a grip area for gripping and/or holding the avalanche shovel and/or such a grip area is formed on the grip section. The grip section exhibits an insertion and/or removal opening for removal from and/or for insertion of the avalanche probe into the shaft along an insertion axis. A tent can have the avalanche shovel as a tent pole.
Roping harness
The roping harness comprises: a belt provided with a first strap and with at least first and second comfort parts arranged between the first strap and the user, a pair of thigh straps, a connecting element connected to the pair of thigh straps, a first adjustment device configured to adjust the length of the first strap and to define the circumference of the belt. The first comfort pad and second comfort pad are fitted movable in translation with respect to one another. The first comfort pad is fitted movable in translation with respect to the first strap along the first strap. The belt comprises at least a first blocking stop configured to prevent movement of the first comfort pad with respect to the second comfort pad beyond a threshold value, the first adjustment device forming a second blocking stop of the first comfort pad.

Devices and methods for simulating traditional rock climbing environments
An apparatus includes a frame and an access member. The frame is configured to be mounted to a structural support, and defines a first volume configured to receive at least a portion of a first insert, and a second volume configured to receive at least a portion of a second insert. The frame is configured such that when the first insert is within the first volume and the second insert is within the second volume a first engagement surface of the first insert is facing a second engagement surface of the second insert. The frame includes a first tapered surface that engages a tapered surface of the first insert to limit movement of the first insert along a lateral axis nonparallel to the longitudinal axis. The access member is configured to be coupled to the frame covering a portion of the first volume to limit movement of the first insert.
