POWER CONTROLLER OF HYBRID VEHICLE
A power controller of a hybrid vehicle includes: a first drive motor that drives any one of a front wheel and a rear wheel of a vehicle; an engine that drives the one wheel or the corresponding other one of the front wheel and the rear wheel of the vehicle through a clutch; a generator that is driven by the engine; and a voltage transformer that steps down generated electric power supplied to the first drive motor and a battery from the generator. The power controller limits passing power of the voltage transformer according to the temperature of the voltage transformer, and connects the clutch when the passing power of the voltage transformer is limited.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE
A control system for a vehicle includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to i) calculate a target supercharging pressure of an intake air such that, when an internal combustion engine is operated through the homogeneous charge compression ignition, the internal combustion engine achieves a required output while satisfying a predetermined requirement, ii) control an output of the internal combustion engine such that the output approaches the required output in accordance with an actual supercharging pressure in process of changing the actual supercharging pressure to the target supercharging pressure that is achieved by a supercharger, and iii) control a rotary machine such that an output of the rotary machine compensates for part or all of a differential output between the required output and the output in process of changing the actual supercharging pressure to the target supercharging pressure.
VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE
A vehicle includes a rotary electric machine, an internal combustion engine, a temperature sensor, and a limiter. The rotary electric machine generates power to move the vehicle. The internal combustion engine is started by the rotary electric machine to generate power to move the vehicle. The temperature sensor detects temperature of the rotary electric machine or of a drive circuit for the rotary electric machine. The limiter restricts the power generated by the rotary electric machine if the temperature is higher than a first threshold temperature. The start prohibitor prohibits the rotary electric machine from starting the internal combustion engine if the temperature is higher than a second threshold temperature which is higher than the first threshold temperature.
AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE LOW BATTERY MANAGEMENT
Systems and methods are provided for identifying an imminent low state of charge of a battery in an autonomous vehicle, and automatically powering down the vehicle before a zero state of charge event occurs. In particular, the autonomous vehicle automatically powers down while there is enough energy in the batteries to restart the vehicle and drive the vehicle a short distance to a charging station.
Vehicle control apparatus
In a host controller included in a vehicle control apparatus, a generator-torque-command generating unit monitors an abnormal operation of the engine on the basis of an engine power generation command and a detection signal of a rotating speed detector, switches, when the abnormal operation of the engine is detected, a generator torque command to the lowest value of a torque command value for abnormal time set in advance as the generator torque command, thereafter, gradually increases the generator torque command, and, after recording, as a torque limit value, the magnitude of the generator torque command (a torque command value for abnormal time 3) at the time when the abnormal operation of the engine is detected again, switches the generator torque command to a torque command value for abnormal time (a torque command value for abnormal time 2) having a value smaller than the torque limit value.
Engine controller to reduce hazardous emissions
An engine controller includes: a warm-up control unit that performs warm-up operation for letting the engine continuously operate until an integration value of air intake of the engine comes to a predetermined integration value in order to warm up a catalyst provided in an exhaust system when the engine is first started after start-up of the vehicle; and a continuation control unit that lets the engine continuously operate for a predetermined period subsequent to an end of the warm-up operation. The continuation control unit takes an output value of the engine as a request output value when the request output value of the engine is a predetermined idling output value or more that is smaller than the predetermined warm-up output value and takes the output value as the warm-up output value when the request output value is less than the predetermined idling output value.
Construction machine
A construction machine includes an engine, a load estimation unit that estimates a pump power absorption, a regeneration/powering power demand calculation unit that calculates a regeneration/powering power demand according to a state of charge in an electrical storage device, an engine power demand calculation unit that calculates an engine power demand based on the power absorption and regeneration/powering power demand, and a motor generator control unit that performs rotational speed control or torque control. The control unit includes a control switching unit that switches the rotational speed and the torque control according to the engine power demand and the rotational speed of the engine. The control switching unit switches from the torque control to the rotational speed control when during performance of the torque control, the engine power demand increases and the rotational speed of the engine becomes lower than a predetermined rotational speed.
HYBRID VEHICLE WITH LOW POWER BATTERY
Systems, methods and apparatus for controlling operation a hybrid powertrain are disclosed that use low power storage and motor/generator components in line haul operations. In one embodiment, a line haul drive cycle includes a low power motor/generator executing a power assistance operation of the hybrid powertrain powered by electricity from a low power storage responsive to a monitoring by a line haul controller of ascensions of the hybrid vehicle at or near a constant speed over an uneven terrain. The line haul drive cycle further includes the low power motor/generator executing a regenerative braking operation of the hybrid powertrain supplying captured electric energy to the low power storage responsive to a monitoring by the line haul controller of descensions of the hybrid vehicle at or near the constant speed over the uneven terrain.
Control method and control device for hybrid vehicle
A control method for a hybrid vehicle (1) is provided. The hybrid vehicle includes an electric motor (13) that drives the vehicle to travel, a generator (12) that supplies power to the electric motor, and an engine (11) that drives the generator. The control method includes storing the timing at which an amount or factor of change in target driving force (Fd) for the vehicle becomes a predetermined threshold or more, calculating an estimated trajectory of the rotational speed of the engine in accordance with the amount or factor of change in the target driving force, and when an increase request for power generation is issued to the engine at different timing than the timing, controlling the rotational speed of the engine on the basis of the calculated estimated trajectory.
