A golf ball of one aspect of the present invention includes a spherical core, one or more cover members to cover the core, and a coating layer to coat a cover member configuring an outermost layer of the one or more cover members. A plurality of dimples is formed in the cover member. Shore-D hardness of the cover member is equal to or larger than 50. A 10% modulus of the coating layer is equal to or smaller than 160 kgf/cm.sup.2. Roughness is produced on a surface of the coating layer after applying a coating material over the cover member of the outermost layer A maximum height Rz of the coating layer is equal to or larger than 3 μm.

A lightweight spherical baseball like training ball has a hollow polyethylene plastic core adhered to a stitched white colored synthetic leather cover with a thin layer of adhesive. The lightweight ball has raised seams and measures in circumference similar to the ball circumference size mandated by Major League Baseball or softball rules whereby the ball is suitable for baseball and softball training and playing variations of the game of baseball or softball in confined areas.

Ball for ball game and method of manufacturing the same

A golf ball including a spherical body, first regions, and second regions. The spherical body includes a core layer and a cover layer made from a synthetic resin covering the core layer. Dimples are formed in a surface of the cover layer. First regions that are electrically conductive are formed on a surface of the spherical body. The first regions are formed on a spherical surface having a center of the spherical body as a center. The first regions are positioned at six vertices of an imaginary regular hexahedron such that the vertices are positioned on the surface of the spherical body and, thus, six of the first regions are formed. The second regions are formed in areas of the surface other than where the first regions are formed. The second regions have a radio wave reflectance lower than that of the first regions.

Golf ball dimples defined by superposed curves

The present invention is a golf ball which comprises dimples having a cross section defined by the superposition of two or more continuous and differentiable functions. Additionally, the dimples preferably have a circular boundary and maintain an axis coincident with the center of the circular boundary.

Golf ball having comma-shaped dimples

In a golf ball including dimples having coma shapes, the dimples are arranged such that one comma shaped dimple replaces a circular dimple, two or more comma shaped dimples of different sizes replace one circular dimple, comma shaped dimples having different shapes are arranged in a mixed type arrangement, circular dimples and comma shaped dimples are arranged in a mixed type arrangement, or a discontinuous annular dimple is added to the comma shaped dimples. Thus, a disadvantage of a large circular dimple may be removed and simultaneously a golf ball with stable flight capability and a long flight distance may be provided.

Ez-rise ball

A softball pitching aid enables one to practice throwing rise balls and drop balls at slower speeds than that required by a standard softball. It comprises a ball with opposing convex surfaces at either end of and disposed about a central axis and a plurality of symmetrical slots protruding into its outer surface and disposed circumferentially along the central axis. The ball is constructed of polyurethane foam or other lightweight material. When thrown correctly, the slots interact with ambient air to cause the ball to rise or drop. The slots and lightweight material allow the ball to rise or drop at lower speeds. The slots further provide guidance for gripping the ball and leverage for increasing its spin rate during flight. The ball further comprises a two-tone coloring scheme that, in conjunction with the symmetrical slots, provides instant visual feedback during flight as to whether it was thrown correctly.
