OPTICAL SENSOR DISPOSITION STRUCTURE FOR SADDLE RIDING VEHICLE
An optical sensor disposition structure for a saddle riding vehicle includes an optical sensor, and an airflow guide member disposed in front of a head pipe and configured to cover a front section of a vehicle body and in which an introduction port configured to guide traveling air rearward is formed, wherein the optical sensor overlaps the introduction port when seen in a front view.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE
An electric vehicle includes front and rear wheels, a battery, an electric motor that drives at least one of the front and rear wheels, an accelerator, and a mode shift operator that is operated by a user in order to switch drive modes. The electric vehicle includes a driving force characteristics setter that sets, for each of the plurality of drive modes, driving force characteristics which are characteristics of an accelerator opening degree and a target motor driving force for the rotational speed of the electric motor. The electric vehicle further includes a controller which shifts up, according to an operation of the mode shift operator, the drive mode from a first drive mode to a second drive mode and which controls the target motor driving force according to the driving force characteristics. When a shift-down prohibition condition is met, the controller prohibits a shift down from the second drive mode to the first drive mode.
Swingarm concentric motor drive for electric motorcycle
A motorcycle includes an electric motor having an output shaft defining a motor axis, a rear wheel drivably coupled to the electric motor to propel the motorcycle, a swingarm rotatably supporting the rear wheel, and a frame. The frame includes a main frame member supporting the electric motor and the swingarm. A case of the electric motor is a stressed member of the frame between the main frame member and the swingarm. The swingarm is coupled to the case of the electric motor to define a swingarm pivot axis that is co-axial with the motor axis.
Saddle riding vehicle
A saddle riding vehicle includes a body frame, an engine supported by the body frame, an exhaust sensor that detects exhaust air of the engine, and a radiator for the engine. The engine is supported by an engine hanger portion disposed in the body frame. The exhaust sensor is disposed on an exhaust pipe of the engine at a position on a front with respect to the engine hanger portion and is positioned underneath the radiator. At least a part of the exhaust sensor overlaps the engine hanger portion as viewed in a front view of a vehicle.
A METHOD FOR THE DYNAMIC ADJUSTMENT METHOD OF OPERATING PARAMETERS OF A VEHICLE
A dynamic adjustment method while driving a vehicle of at least one vehicle operating parameter is for a vehicle having an electronic control unit adapted to set the operating parameter, and a communication interface operatively connected to the electronic control unit. An application program is installed on board a portable processing device including a communication interface communicating with the vehicle communication interface. The application program accesses an electronic map of a path and divides the path in sectors. Operating parameter values are stored via the application program, each value being associated to a corresponding sector. While driving, the sector occupied by the vehicle is identified in real time. Values are transmitted sector by sector, from the portable processing device to the electronic control unit so that the electronic control unit sets, sector by sector, the vehicle operating parameter vehicle to the value associated to the occupied sector.
REMAINING FUEL AMOUNT WARNING DEVICE FOR MOTORCYCLE
A remaining fuel amount warning device for a vehicle, the remaining fuel amount warning device giving a warning that an amount of fuel remaining in a fuel tank is smaller than a predetermined value on the basis of output of a fuel gauge measuring the remaining fuel amount, includes combustion state changing device for changing the combustion state of an engine. When the remaining fuel amount becomes smaller than the predetermined value, the remaining fuel amount warning device performs remaining amount warning control that produces vibration different than during normal operation by changing the combustion state of the engine by the combustion state changing device. A starter switch for starting the engine is made to serve also as a warning acknowledging button for stopping the remaining amount warning control for a predetermined time on the basis of an operation by an occupant.
DISPLAY SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
The present application discloses systems and methods to present information to recreational vehicle riders and to provide customizable visual information to recreational vehicle riders. The present application further discloses systems and methods to connect and transmit audio information between a driver portable communication device and a driver audio interface device through the recreational vehicle and audio information between a passenger portable communication device and a passenger audio interface device.
FUEL TANK APPARATUS
A fuel tank apparatus is disposed above an engine. The fuel tank apparatus includes a fuel tank in which fuel is stored and a fuel pump coupled to the bottom of the fuel tank. A heat-shield cover that covers a portion of the fuel pump, which portion is exposed from the fuel tank, to shield the portion from heat of the engine is mounted on a coupling portion between the fuel pump and the fuel tank.
Fuel tank structure for saddle-ride type vehicle
A fuel tank structure for a saddle-ride vehicle for discharging fuel leaking out from a filler neck between a cover member and a fuel tank. The fuel tank structure includes a filler neck having a collar portion projecting upwardly from an upper surface of a fuel tank with a tank cap to seal the filler neck. A tank cover includes a cover opening portion into which the collar portion is inserted for covering the circumference of the filler neck. The tank cap has an extending wall portion for surrounding the outside of the collar portion and extending to a position below the cover opening portion so that fuel leaking from the filler neck is discharged through a clearance between the fuel tank and the tank cover.
