FUEL CELL VEHICLE
In a fuel cell vehicle, an occupant room is disposed at a front part of a vehicle body frame, and a rear side of the occupant room of the vehicle body frame is a load mount part. A hydrogen handling device is supported at least by the load mount part. The fuel cell vehicle includes a cover room that surrounds at least an upper part and a side part of the hydrogen handling device that is supported by the load mount part. A load room is disposed on the load mount part of the vehicle body frame. A discharge duct that discharges a hydrogen gas in the cover room upward from between the load room and the occupant room is connected to the cover room.
USER-SCALABLE POWER UNIT INCLUDING REMOVABLE BATTERY PACKS
A riding lawn mower comprising, a pair of rear drive wheels, a pair of front wheels, a deck positioned between the pair of front wheels and the pair of rear drive wheels, a rotatable cutting blade, and multiple battery packs removably coupled to the riding lawn mower and structured to provide power to the riding lawn mower, each battery pack graspable and removable by a user, wherein the multiple battery packs jointly provide power to the riding lawn mower.
Reciprocating pedals with dual-levered cam for asymmetric reciprocation
A lift truck employs forward and reverse pedals connected through respective cams having different upper and lower cam profiles that engage to provide asymmetric reciprocal pedal motion. For example, first pedal depression causes a first cam upper profile to engage with a second cam upper profile and cause increased elevation of a second pedal, and first pedal depression causes a first cam lower profile to disengage with a second cam lower profile associated with the second pedal, such that first pedal depression is greater than the increased elevation of the second pedal.
Sinusoidal wheel
A wheel set assembly having a plurality of sinusoidal channeled wheels. The sinusoidal channeled wheels having a sinusoidal channel disposed around a circular exterior surface of each of the sinusoidal channeled wheels. The wheel set assembly allows for better maneuverability and longevity in comparison to other materials handling equipment wheels because of the sinusoidal channels. The sinusoidal channels also provide heat dissipation along with the ability to push debris out of the way of the materials handling equipment.
Battery for an industrial truck
A battery for an industrial truck comprises a battery body that comprises a first base body and a second base body. The second base body is positioned adjacent to the first base body. The first base body and the second base body extend a same length in one dimension and the first base body has a greater height than the second base body.
INDUSTRIAL VEHICLE
An industrial vehicle includes an object detector configured to detect a position of an object, a notification unit configured to perform notification, a controller configured to control the notification unit according to the position of the object, and an intention-of-starting detector configured to detect whether an operator of the industrial vehicle has an intention of starting the industrial vehicle. The controller stops the notification by the notification unit when the intention-of-starting detector does not detect the intention of starting. The controller permits the notification by the notification unit when the intention-of-starting detector detects the intention of starting.
Continuously variable transmission control
A control system for a vehicle uses one or more inputs of a velocity request, a brake request, a speed request, travel direction indication, engine speed, and vehicle speed to determine a control strategy for a continuously variable transmission. A target engine speed is selected based upon the inputs, and the engine and continuously variable transmission ratio are controlled to achieve the target engine speed while controlling the vehicle according to the inputs. In some embodiments, the control strategy further selects the target engine speed according to accessory system demands, such as a hoist or lift system.
User-scalable power unit including removable battery packs
A scalable power unit for powering one or more electric motors of a riding vehicle and/or a piece of outdoor power equipment includes a number of interconnected battery packs. The battery pack are received in a battery tray or stacked to form the scalable power unit. Each battery pack is configured to be removed and used separately or added to a combination of battery packs. A control unit selectively opens and closes switching elements to separately control the connections between the battery packs and an electrical load, such as a motor. During charging, the control unit opens and closes switching elements to control the charging rate of the individual battery packs. When the battery packs are connected to an electrical load, the control unit controls the state of the switching elements to selectively discharge the battery packs to power the riding vehicle and/or electric loads.
Powered sled
A pallet sled includes a base and a pair of tines extending from the base. A load wheel supports outer ends of each of the tines. A wheel supports the base. At least one motor is configured to drive the base wheel or at least one of the load wheels for driving the pallet sled. The motor may be a hub motor inside the base wheel or the load wheel.
