Snowmobile Storage Compartment, Display, Antenna, And Body Trim System
A snowmobile including a chassis, a main body panel, and a first trim panel. The main body panel is removably coupled to the chassis by way of a fastener assembly. The first trim panel is removably coupled to the main body panel. The first trim panel has a first thickness and extends a first distance from a side of the snowmobile.
METHOD FOR ACCELERATING A VEHICLE FROM REST
A method for accelerating a vehicle from rest. The method includes receiving a mode indication indicating a launch control mode selected; receiving a brake-on indication; controlling the engine according to a launch control strategy; determining an accelerator position; for an accelerator position greater than zero, controlling the engine to: increase open a throttle valve and control the engine to limit engine torque output; receiving a brake-off indication; controlling the engine according to the standard control strategy, controlling the engine according to the standard control strategy with the braking system having been released causing the vehicle to accelerate from rest, a first rate of acceleration from rest of the vehicle being greater than a second rate of acceleration from rest of the vehicle for corresponding changes in accelerator position, the first rate corresponding to accelerating from rest after controlling the engine according to the standard and launch control strategies.
ENDLESS TRACK CONVEYANCE MACHINES HAVING A TORQUE ASSIST SYSTEM FOR ENHANCING PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY TEMPERAURE ASSIST
Conveyance vehicles such as snow bikes and snowmobiles having an endless track system driven by a combustion engine are enhanced in performance with a torque assist system. The torque assist system includes an electric motor that is coupled to drive the track in parallel with the original internal combustion engine through either its own track drive, or through the drive system of the engine. The motor can be a spindle drive motor or hub motor. Torque assist is generated through a torque assist throttle input coupled to a motor controller. A battery temperature assist system diverts heated cooling fluid from the engine cooling system to heat the battery through its own heat exchanger. The controller is coupled to a processing device such as a smart phone that executes apps configured to provide parametric data to the controller and to receive parametric data from the controller through a user interface.
LED safety light for snowmobile helmets
A LED safety light for a snowmobile helmet is provided. The LED safety light includes a RCA male connector, a RCA female connector, and a LED light strip configured to attach to an outer surface of the snowmobile helmet. A double layered junction block includes an outer cover and an inner cover housing a PCB and at least a portion of the RCA female connector. The outer cover completely encapsulates the inner cover, wherein the junction block is configured to attach to the outer surface the snowmobile helmet. The RCA female connector is configured to be electrically connected to an auxiliary power output port of a snowmobile to provide power for the LED safety light and the RCA male connector is configured to electrically connect to a power input of a heated shield power input of the snowmobile helmet.
