MOVABLE RIG AND STEERING SYSTEM

A drill rig with a steering system may include a substructure having a wheelhouse, a drill floor arranged atop the substructure, a mast extending upwardly and above the drill floor, and a steering system arranged within the wheelhouse. The steering system may include a wheel assembly comprising an electric motor configured for driving rotational motion of a wheel, a deployment device configuring for deploying the wheel assembly to carry the drill rig, and a steering mechanism configured for selective engagement with the wheel assembly and rotating the wheel assembly.

In a method for controlling a traction system for a heavy road vehicle, the system includes a first mechanical propulsion system, a second hydraulic propulsion system, and a control unit. The method includes measuring a first parameter value, indicative of the rolling radius of a first traction wheel, measuring a second parameter value, indicative of the rolling radius of a second traction wheel, and the control unit using the first and second parameter values for determining a present relation between the rolling radii of the first and second traction wheels. The control unit provides an output signal based on the present relation to optimize the traction applied to the second traction wheel. A traction system and a heavy vehicle incorporating a traction system are also provided.

Stabilizing of forest work unit

A method for stabilizing at least one frame part of a forest work unit involves determining a moment applied by a payload of the forest work unit to a frame part to be supported and determining a magnitude and direction of at least one support moment needed at least for stabilizing the frame part on the basis of the moment applied by the payload to the frame part to be supported. An arrangement for stabilizing at least one frame part of a forest work unit comprises means for carrying out said determinations.

Motorized module for goods transport and control method for said motorized module

A motorized module for goods transport has a loading platform; at least a first and at least a second axle each provided with at least one respective rolling body on the ground, a respective mechanical speed reducer, a respective releasable angular connection joint interposed between a respective hydraulic motor for driving the axle and the respective rolling body, and an electronic unit for controlling the hydraulic motors and the angular connection joints as a function of the advancement speed of the module and being activated in succession as the advancement speed of the module itself varies.
