Aircraft landing gear assembly
An aircraft landing gear bogie beam including first and second ends and a mounting bearing for connection to an aircraft landing gear main strut between the ends. Each end has a respective axle, and each axle defines a wheel mounting portion on each side of the bogie beam. The bogie beam is arranged to enable the first and second axles to each pivot relative to the bearing about a respective longitudinal axis of the bogie beam by an amount that is sufficient to place a wheel rim of a wheel assembly in contact with the ground in the event of a tyre of the wheel assembly deflating.
Safety deflation wheel seal design
A wheel includes an inner wheel half defining a plurality of inner bolt apertures and having a mating surface. The wheel also includes an outer wheel half defining a plurality of outer bolt apertures and having an inner surface. The plurality of outer bolt apertures are configured to be aligned with the plurality of inner bolt apertures such that each of a plurality of bolts may be received by one of the plurality of outer bolt apertures and one of the plurality of inner bolt apertures, forming a seal between the mating surface and the inner surface in response to each of the plurality of bolts being tightened. In response to a predetermined number of bolts becoming loose, a first portion of the mating surface may separate from a second portion of the inner surface, breaking the seal.

An aeronautical car includes a ground-travel system including a drivetrain; an air-travel system including a detachable portion configured to house a propulsion device configured to provide thrust and to be driven by the drivetrain when the detachable portion is connected to the aeronautical car, and at least one flight mechanism configured to provide lift once the aeronautical car is in motion; and a weather manipulation device. Methods and systems for vehicle contact prediction and auto brake activation
Systems and methods are disclosed for predicting a hot spot. One method comprises receiving, by a hot spot prediction system, vehicle characteristics associated with a vehicle and traffic data. Then the hot spot prediction system determines a hot spot and an estimated arrival time at the hot spot based on the vehicle characteristics and the traffic data. Following the determination, an auto brake application system receives the hot spot and the estimated arrival time and determines a safe stop time based on the vehicle characteristics, the hot spot and the estimated arrival time. The auto brake application system then sends a notification to the vehicle based on determining that the vehicle can stop within the safe stop time, and performs an action in response to receiving a confirmation from the vehicle.

An aircraft hubcap/wheel cover which uses ambient airflow (120 mph-175 mph) to rotate wheels on the landing gear of an aircraft accomplished by using slightly protruding slats, blades, scoops or other air capturing shapes, (once the landing gear has been lowered). These air capturing shapes are integrated as part of the hubcap/wheel cover during manufacture and are directly determined by ground speed applicable to that aircraft with the ultimate purpose being tire longevity. The wheel cover hubcap is a single piece design and has no moving parts.
Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Safety System and Method
A multiply-redundant system that protects fueling of rockets, aircraft and other vehicles using Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) along with an oxidizer such as Liquefied Oxygen. One or more sensors in combination with one or more optional microswitches combine to detect any leaks, fire or explosion hazards quickly locking out further fueling. For different levels of safety, different combinations of sensors can be used.

A method can include emitting, from a light source, directional light through fuel contained in a fuel tank, and determining a refraction angle of the directional light after the directional light passes through an interface with the fuel. The method can further include determining, by a processing device, an index of refraction of the fuel based on the determined refraction angle, and determining, by the processing device, a density of the fuel based on the determined index of refraction of the fuel.

The multiple cell tubes can accommodate multiple battery cells within the multiple cell tubes so that individual of the multiple battery cells are positioned within individual of the multiple cell tubes. The conductive plate can include a printed circuit board. The printed circuit board can include a first conductive layer and an isolating layer. The isolating layer can include a blind hole through which a wire bonding extends. The wire bonding can be electrically connected to the first conductive layer.
