Aircraft landing gear assembly
10829209 · 2020-11-10 · ·

An aircraft landing gear bogie beam including first and second ends and a mounting bearing for connection to an aircraft landing gear main strut between the ends. Each end has a respective axle, and each axle defines a wheel mounting portion on each side of the bogie beam. The bogie beam is arranged to enable the first and second axles to each pivot relative to the bearing about a respective longitudinal axis of the bogie beam by an amount that is sufficient to place a wheel rim of a wheel assembly in contact with the ground in the event of a tyre of the wheel assembly deflating.

HESM high pulse power algorithm

A hybrid energy storage module (HESM) configured to be used on an aircraft to provide electrical energy includes a first energy storage component and a second energy storage component each configured to receive the electrical energy, store the electrical energy, and discharge the electrical energy. The HESM also includes a controller coupled to the first energy storage component and the second energy storage component. The controller is configured to control charging and discharging of the first energy storage component and of the second energy storage component such that the first energy storage component is charged to a desired first energy storage component state of charge (SOC) before the second energy storage component is charged.

Semiconductor-based lighting device

A lighting device is provided that has a light source arrangement with a plurality of semiconductor-based light sources in the form of light-emitting diodes. The light sources are bundled or collimated such that they each emit light in differently directed light cones with adjacent light cones overlapping. The lighting device has an adjusting device for adjustment of the direction of illumination and an actuating circuit connected to the adjusting device. The adjusting device adjusts intermediate stages for which the light-emitting diodes of adjacent and overlapping light cones operate and with varying light intensity in such a way the focal point of the light field produced by the light-emitting diodes lies between the focal points of adjacent light cones.

POWER SUPPLY STORAGE AND FIRE MANAGEMENT IN ELECTRICALLY-DRIVEN AIRCRAFT

An electric power apparatus is disclosed for use in powering an electric vehicle with an exhaust channel. The electric power apparatus can include a battery housing and multiple cell tubes. The multiple cell tubes can support multiple battery cells within the multiple cell tubes so that individual of the multiple battery cells may be positioned within individual of the multiple cell tubes. The multiple cell tubes can be supported by the battery housing and direct combustion components from any fires in the multiple battery cells in a common direction. The multiple battery cells can each be self-contained and removable from the multiple cell tubes. The multiple battery cells can be electrically connected to power a motor that propels a vehicle housing, and the vehicle housing can support the battery housing and the motor.

Fuel vent connector, venting system having fuel vent connector, and method

A fuel vent connector includes a longitudinal axis and a flow path a long the longitudinal axis. The connector further includes a first portion pivotally supporting a plurality of fingers, each finger amongst the plurality of fingers having a latching head biased radially outwardly and configured to latch within a fuel vent opening. The connector further includes a second portion biased longitudinally away from the first portion with respect to the longitudinal axis. The flow path extends through the first and second portions, and longitudinal movement of the second portion towards the first portion moves the fingers radially inward.

An aeronautical car comprises a ground-travel system including at least one traction device, an air-travel system including at least one flight mechanism configured to be selectively moved between a first position when the aeronautical car is in a driving mode and a second position when the aeronautical car is in a flying mode, and a weather manipulation device. The weather manipulation device may be configured to manipulate at least one aspect of a weather condition while the aeronautical car is in the air.

Oil level sensor guide

A fluid tank system comprises a fluid container that includes a sensor opening in a fluid container wall defined by a rim, and a fluid level sensor comprising a radial flange on a proximate end of a longitudinally extending electronics stem that includes a distal end. The distal end of the electronic stem is inserted into the fluid container via the sensor opening and the radial flange seats on the rim. The distal end of the electronics stem is guided via a first radial support and a second radial support to a seat that is located coaxial with the sensor opening, where the first and second radial supports are longitudinally separated and radially spaced apart to allow the electronics stem to longitudinally pass between the first and second radial supports until the flange seats on the rim ensuring that the distal end of the electronic stem is longitudinally positioned adjacent to the seat.
