20190283496 · 2019-09-19 ·

Embodiments of collapsible wheels and methods of making collapsible wheels are generally described herein. The collapsible wheels can each comprise a plurality of wheel sections, a plurality of rims, and spokes connecting the plurality of wheel sections to the plurality of rim portions. The plurality of rim portions are positioned along a perimeter of a circle that defines a central plane of the wheel. Each wheel section supports one or more spokes that connect to one or more of the rim portions. The wheel sections are rotatable relative to each other around an axis from a collapsed configuration to an expanded position. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

The wheel assembly includes an arm 51, a wheel 55, a power supply port 60, an electric motor 56 coupled to the wheel 55, and a motor controller 62 for controlling rotation of the electric motor 56. The method of controlling the motion of a motorized object includes defining a target position, sensing a current position of the motorized object and using an output from a processor to control the electric motors to drive the object toward the target position. The golf club storage and transport device 70 includes a body 71 for storing golf clubs and a pair of releasable wheels 75. The device 70 has an assembled configuration and a disassembled configuration.

Powered utility cart and compliant drive wheel therefor
10377403 · 2019-08-13 · ·

A lift-enabled motorized wheel assembly and material handling cart. A drive wheel is supported on an axel between a fixed leg and a floating leg. The axel passes through the fixed leg without interference, but is captured in the floating leg by a self-aligning bearing. The axle is driven by a drive motor that is bolted to the fixed leg through a right-angle gearbox. A vertical suspension unit provides compliance for drive wheel traction. A lifter sub-assembly alternately raises and lowers the drive wheel into and out of contact with the ground. The lift-enabled motorized wheel assembly is attached to the bottom of a cart frame, along with a plurality of caster wheels. The cart includes a tow-bar that is moveable between raised and lowered positions. When the tow-bar is lowered condition for towing, the drive wheel automatically lifts out of contact with the ground.

MODULAR VEHICLE FOR PEDESTRIAN ENVIRONMENT

A modular vehicle for transporting an individual, the vehicle comprising a main frame comprising a rear end and a front end opposite to the rear end, the main frame defining a longitudinal axis. The modular vehicle comprises at least two seats mounted side-by-side in a single row substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, each of the at least two seats adapted for seating an individual, each of the two seats comprising a seat surface; and a backrest facing substantially toward the front end. The modular vehicle further comprises a driving area at the rear end of the main frame for driving the vehicle.

PORTABLE RAIN AND SUN SHIELD FOR A COVERED GOLF CART

A rain and sun shield for a covered golf cart semi-permanently attached to the roof of a golf cart. The device is easy to install; will retrofit to any standard golf cart roof; does not interfere with the parking and storing profile of a fleet of golf carts. The device is easily opened and closed to provide the golf cart user with added sun and rain protection when in use.

METHOD OF ENHANCING RAIN AND SUN PROTECTION USING A RAIN AND SUN SHIELD FOR GOLF CARTS

A method for enhancing the rain and sun protection of a golf cart roof using a rain and sun shield device. The rain and sun shield for a covered golf cart is semi-permanently attached to the roof of a golf cart. The idevice is easy to install; will retrofit to any standard golf cart roof; does not interfere with the parking and storing profile of a fleet of golf carts. The device is easily opened and closed to provide the golf cart user with added sun and rain protection when in use.
