Systems and methods for managing usage of charging stations. In one embodiment, a system may include a request module, a membership module, and a schedule module. The request module receives a reservation request from an account associated with vehicle. The membership module determines a membership benefit associated with the reservation request. The membership benefit is based on a membership level of the account. The schedule module schedules a charging session based on the reservation request and the membership benefit.

Systems and methods for monitoring degradation associated with mounts for torque-supplying devices

Methods and systems are provided for using energy harvesting modules as a means for providing energy to power an electrical load and/or as a means for monitoring an operational state of a component or components to which the energy harvesting module is coupled. In one example, a method includes, via a controller, monitoring an actual amount of energy generated by an energy harvesting module attached to a mounting structure that is used to secure a torque-supplying machine to a frame, comparing the actual amount to an expected amount, and indicating degradation of the mounting structure and/or the torque-supplying machine based on the comparing. In this way, the energy harvesting modules may both power electrical loads and simultaneously serve as a monitor for component degradation.

HYBRIDISED DRIVETRAIN AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAID DRIVETRAIN

A hybridised drivetrain for a motor vehicle. A transmission assembly of the vehicle has at least one first planetary gear set. A first element of the first planetary gear set is a ring gear. A second element of the first planetary gear set can be connected to an electric machine of the vehicle with a clutch and can be secured against a housing. The second element is a sun gear. A third element of the first planetary gear set is connected to an output. The third element is a planet carrier. The ring gear can also be connected to the electric machine by means of a clutch. The clutch has an output disc carrier connected to the sun gear. The clutch has an output disc carrier connected to the ring gear. The input disc carrier and the output disc carrier can rotate relative to one another.

VEHICLE EXTERNAL HEATING

A computer includes a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to receive data indicating that an electric vehicle is in an enclosed space; in response to receiving the data, instruct window actuators of the electric vehicle to open windows of the electric vehicle; and in response to receiving the data, instruct a heater of the electric vehicle to generate heat.

Control of the state of charge of an electrically powered vehicle when traveling on a hill

An ECU controls charging of a power storage device such that an SOC of the power storage device does not exceed a prescribed upper control limit. When an electrically powered vehicle moves in a downhill direction with an MG generating travel torque in an uphill direction on an uphill road (downhill-movement state), the ECU allows charging in which the SOC exceeds the upper control limit. Further, when a request to stop a system of the vehicle is made with the SOC exceeding the upper control limit, the ECU performs a discharge process of discharging the power storage device.

A computing system can receive and compile power cell data, and in certain examples, the power cell data can be distributed to a distributed ledger. The computing system can further determine approximate battery end of life (ABEL) for each power cell based on a compiled historical record of power cell data. Based on the determined ABEL, the computing system can generate ABEL reports for users, determine optimal settings for a power cell or battery-powered device, and/or transmit notifications to users, to facilitate power cell usage optimization, and/or optimal repurposing or recycling timing.

Architectures for hybrid-electric propulsion

A hybrid propulsion system includes a heat engine configured to drive a heat engine shaft. An electric motor is configured to drive an electric motor shaft. A transmission system includes at least one gearbox. The transmission system is configured to receive rotational input power from each of the heat engine shaft and the electric motor shaft and to convert the rotation input power to output power.

Hybrid/electric vehicle control system

A vehicle includes a powertrain having an electric machine and a controller. The controller is programmed to, responsive to an accelerator pedal position exceeding a first threshold for a predetermined time period or a lateral acceleration of the vehicle being greater than a second threshold, transition the powertrain from a nominal driving mode to a performance driving mode. The controller is also programmed to, responsive to an increase in a steering wheel angle while in the nominal mode, maintain a power output of the electric machine at a driver demanded power defined by the accelerator pedal position. The controller is further programmed to, responsive to an increase in a steering wheel angle while in the performance driving mode, reduce a power output of the electric machine to less than the driver demanded power.

A power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle may include: a cover part mounted on a vehicle body; two motor parts embedded in the cover part; two rotor parts mounted in the respective motor parts and rotated; a transfer part selectively connected to the rotor part; a torsion damper part coupled to the transfer part; a clutch part configured to selectively connect any one of the rotor parts to the transfer part; and an output part connected to the clutch part and configured to discharge power to a transmission, wherein any one of the rotor parts is connected to the torsion damper part.

TORQUE TRANSMISSION DEVICE

The disclosure relates to a torque transmission device between a first drive element and an output element, having a torque transmission unit; an input, which is rotatable about a rotation axis and can be coupled to the first drive element, and an output, which can be connected to the output element. A separating clutch is arranged outside of the torque transmission unit and the fluid chamber, and is designed for selective torque transmission between the first drive element and the torque transmission unit. The separating clutch has a clutch input and a clutch output that is selectively connectable via a clutch actuating device.
