The present invention provides a hybrid driving module which fixes a rotor while hub ridges of the rotor are provided on a rotor hub and firmly provides the hub ridge to the rotor hub so as to enable vibration noise to be reduced, and which has a structure in which the hub ridges support the rotor in a state in which the hub ridges are fastened to the rotor hub at which the rotor is provided. The hybrid driving module may further include a ridge fixing structure that prevents the hub ridge from separating from the rotor hub. For example, the ridge fixing structure may be a ridge snap ring. The hybrid driving module may further include an elastic body that elastically presses the hub ridge toward the ridge snap ring. The elastic body may elastically press the rotor in the axial direction. The elastic body may also serve as a return spring of the piston plate of the engine clutch.

Hybrid vehicle

A hybrid vehicle includes: an internal combustion engine; a rotating electric machine; a planetary gear mechanism to which the internal combustion engine, the rotating electric machine and an output shaft are connected; a catalyst that purifies exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine; and a controller that controls the internal combustion engine and the rotating electric machine. The controller controls the internal combustion engine and the rotating electric machine to perform catalyst temperature control to shift an operating point on a map representing a relationship between rotation speed of the internal combustion engine and torque generated by the internal combustion engine so that the catalyst has a temperature within an appropriate temperature range. Degradation of the catalyst can be suppressed without deteriorating the function of the catalyst.

Controller and control method for hybrid vehicle

A controller for a hybrid vehicle controls an electric motor such that a motor torque is input to a crankshaft in order to compensate for a decrease in an engine torque when a cylinder deactivation control is executed, the decrease resulting from suspension of combustion in one or some of cylinders. The controller calculates an engine torque calculated value using an engine rotation speed, a motor rotation speed, and the motor torque. The controller diagnoses that the cylinder deactivation control is functioning normally when the engine torque calculated value is less than a torque determination value and diagnose that the cylinder deactivation control is not functioning normally when the engine torque calculated value is not less than the torque determination value during the execution of the cylinder deactivation control.

Hybrid vehicle

A hybrid vehicle includes an engine that drives first wheel, and a motor that drives second wheel. The hybrid vehicle includes (1) a minute speed launch support mode where the hybrid vehicle is driven only by the motor as a drive source, (2) a sudden launch support mode where the hybrid vehicle is driven by the engine and motor as the drive source, and (3) a smooth launch support mode where the hybrid vehicle is driven only by the motor as the drive source in an early stage, is driven by the engine and motor in a middle stage, and is driven only by the engine in a late stage, and if an operation amount of an acceleration instruction unit is not 0 or is substantially not 0, any one of the support modes is executed according to an operation status of the acceleration instruction unit.

Engine-and-electric-machine assembly

An engine-and-electric-machine assembly includes an engine and an electric machine, a crankshaft being provided in the engine, the crankshaft including a main body and an extension section that extends out to the exterior of the engine, the extension section forming a rotation shaft of the electric machine, a rotor of the electric machine being mounted on the extension section, and a transition section being provided between the main body of the crankshaft and the extension section, wherein the rotor of the electric machine is connected to the transition section via a flange structure. By connecting the rotor of the electric machine and the crankshaft of the engine by using a flange, instead of using a key connecting structure, the strength of the connection between the rotor and the crankshaft can be improved, and optimize the moment of inertia of the transmission structure between the rotor and the crankshaft.

The first motor generator is coupled to the engine and the front wheel in a manner capable of transmitting torque. During regeneration, the control unit engages the first clutch and disengages the second clutch. When the all-wheel-drive vehicle shifts from motor traveling to hybrid traveling, the control unit restarts the engine by operating the first motor generator and regulates engagement forces of the clutches and output torque of the second motor generator to compensate driving torque of the front wheel by the second motor generator while maintaining driving torque of the rear wheel.

Systems and methods of controlling a clutch in a hybrid vehicle with a manual transmission, are provided. With the goal of enabling autonomous/assisted clutch control in a hybrid vehicle, while preserving the familiar mechanical feeling at the clutch pedal that driving enthusiasts prefer, embodiments of the disclosed technology use a shuttle valve to blend control of clutch engagement between a driver and an ECU. In these embodiments, a clutch pedal in the vehicle may be mechanically connected to a piston in a first hydraulic cylinder (just like in a traditional mechanical/hydraulic clutch actuation system), and an ECU may actuate a second hydraulic cylinder. Accordingly, a shuttle valve may be used to route the fluid coming from the cylinder with the greater pressure (i.e. the driver actuated cylinder or the ECU actuated cylinder), to a third hydraulic cylinder which adjusts engagement of a clutch by a mechanical linkage.
