AERODYNAMICALLY GLIDING BALL
An aerodynamic flying toy ball apparatus comprised of a plurality of semi-rigid uniformly shaped semicircular fins joined along, and equiangularly arranged radially around a longitudinal axis, balanced for aerodynamic gliding flight to create a stable 3-D ball shaped glider capable of gliding and maneuvering (climbing, turning and looping) as a gliding airplane. The apparatus resembles a ball and can roll on the ground. The apparatus can be made from a variety of lightweight materials.
Ball for teaching pitching and throwing skills
A ball for use in teaching proper throwing or pitching techniques in baseball or softball is disclosed. The ball provides an internal mechanism by way of a snap device or a channel having a shiftable weighted material to provide both an audible and visible indication of when a proper wrist snap release of the ball has occurred. The internal mechanisms disclosed can be incorporated into newly manufactured baseballs or softballs or placed into preexisting balls.
Ball rotation indicator and method
The present application is directed to an athletic training tool. The athletic training tool includes a ball and an elongated member attached thereto, the elongated member is attached to the ball in a manner effective to maintain the center of gravity of the ball. The elongated member may be visually observable during use of the athletic training tool.
Football capable of being quickly laced
A football includes an outer cover defining an interior space and having two rows of lace holes arranged in pairs spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal direction, and a mounting area disposed between the two rows of lace holes. A lace unit includes a main body disposed on the mounting area and formed with a plurality of positioning grooves, and a plurality of laces connected to the main body and corresponding in position to the positioning grooves. Each lace is extended through a respective pair of the lace holes, is looped around the main body and the mounting area, and is positioned in a respective positioning groove.
Football body with annularly disposed airfoil
A throwing or catching toy includes a first body defined as having a longitudinal axis. A length of the first body along the longitudinal axis between a front end of the first body to a back end of the first body is longer than an equatorial diameter of the first body. A generally cylindrically-shaped annular second body is disposed about the first body aligned along the longitudinal axis. A connection structure is disposed and connected between the first body and the second body, where the connection structure secures the first body in a fixed position relative to the second body.
Mesh toy apparatus
An apparatus is provided, which includes a plurality of elongated strands having joinder regions uniting adjacent strands at a distance along a length of an outer perimeter of the elongated strands, the elongate strands being configured to couple together for a distance along their lengths. The elongated strands form a surface of a mesh when the joinder regions are coupled. The apparatus may further include a manducable protrusion coupled to the mesh and extending a distance away from an exterior surface of the mesh.
Game ball
The present disclosure relates to a game ball and methods for stitching a thread with a high coefficient of friction upon a stripe member present on the game ball. At least one stitching is thus formed upon the stripe member. The stitching formed from the thread enhances the grip and/or spin characteristics of the resulting game ball, improving handling and playability.
TENNIS TRAINING DEVICE
A tennis training device is provided, comprising a support bar which is swivelable between a first and a second stop in its longitudinal direction, wherein at the free end of the support bar a ball is mounted by means of a connecting ember, which is releasably fixed by means of a fixing means.
Furthermore, the invention relates to different embodiments of a training unit.
Flying toy for throwing or catching
A flying toy for throwing and/or catching includes an elongated body forming a fuselage. The body extends along a longitudinal axis from a front end to a rear end. A lift-generating wing is non-movably attached in relation to the body. A horizontal stabilizer is disposed at or near the rear end of the body, where the horizontal stabilizer disposed behind the lift-generating wing. A vertical stabilizer is disposed at or near the rear end of the body, where the vertical stabilizer is disposed behind the lift-generating wing. A push surface is attached to the body and extends perpendicular in relation to the longitudinal axis. The push surface faces towards the rear end of the body. The push surface allows a user to push the flying toy forward when thrown.
Sports ball, bat, and associated methods
A sports ball for use in baseball-type games includes a hollow, substantially spherical plastic ball that has a plurality of substantially planar, intersecting regions covering an outer surface thereof. Preferably the ball also has a weight that is substantially less than a weight of a regulation baseball, for enhancing safety in use. The sports system further includes a bat for use with the ball, or with any similar ball, preferably a plastic ball. The bat is a hollow, elongated member that has a handle portion adjacent a bottom end and a barrel portion between the handle portion and a top end. The bat further has a sheath surrounding at least a portion of the barrel portion. The sheath has a coefficient of friction higher than a coefficient of friction of a surface of the barrel portion, for imparting traction to a struck ball.
