Water Bladder System and Related Methods
A water bladder system. An air valve, which may be a check valve, is configured to be coupled with the flexible container and selectively allow air to enter an interior of the flexible container. A release mechanism coupled with the flexible container selectively allows the fluid to exit the interior of the flexible container. An open-celled foam is included within the interior of the flexible container and is coated with a quaternary organosilane coating produced from a quaternary ammonium organosilane reagent.
Metal plated object with biocidal properties
A plated object wherein the plating material has biocidal properties. The plated object can be used in a food preparation or medical care facility. The plating material includes approximately 55% copper (plus or minus 10%), 35% tin (plus or minus 10%) and 10% zinc (plus or minus 5%) by weight. In another embodiment, the plating material includes approximately 45% copper, 45% tin and 10% zinc. A method of depositing the plating material is also disclosed.
LIQUID ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITION
A liquid antimicrobial composition is disclosed, comprising: (a) bacteriocin in a concentration of 2-50 ppm; (b) acetate in a concentration of 0.4-4 mol/L; (c) alkali metal cation in a concentration of at least 0.7 mol per mol of acetate; and at least 70 wt. % of water, wherein the antimicrobial composition has a pH in the range of 4.5-7.5. The antimicrobial composition is particularly suitable for reducing the bacterial load of Listeria on pieces of raw meat. The application also discloses methods of treating pieces of animal meat, the method comprising applying the antimicrobial composition of the present invention onto the surface of the pieces of animal meat.
Pesticide residue removal device for refrigerator, and refrigerator
A pesticide residue removal device for a refrigerator, and a refrigerator are provided. The pesticide residue removal device includes: an ozone generator configured to generate ozone; an ozone water container configured to store water therein, where the ozone water container communicates with the ozone generator, so that ozone is dissolved into water of the ozone water container to obtain ozone water; and an atomizer communicating to the ozone water container, receiving and atomizing the ozone water, and supplying the ozone water to a storage space of the refrigerator. The generated ozone water is atomized to fully fill the entire storage compartment of the refrigerator to achieve effective pesticide residue removal and sterilization; ozone water can be prepared on demand to reduce waste; and people are well prevented from getting harmed at an excessive ozone concentration.
Treatment of animal carcasses
Described is a method of sanitizing animal carcasses using aqueous streams having an antimicrobial composition added to the stream. Preferably, the antimicrobial composition includes a mixture of one or more carboxylic acids having up to 18 carbon atoms and one or more peroxycarboxylic acids having up to 12 carbon atoms, preferably a mixture of a C.sub.2-C.sub.4 peroxycarboxylic acid and a C.sub.8-C.sub.12 peroxycarboxylic acid. Also described is a novel antimicrobial composition adapted for sanitizing animal carcasses containing a mixture of one or more C.sub.2-C.sub.4 peroxycarboxylic acids and one or more C.sub.8-C.sub.12 peroxycarboxylic acids and an alpha-hydroxy mono- or dicarboxylic acid.

Antimicrobial compositions and methods for treating packaged food products
The present invention relates to a method of using an antimicrobial composition on a food product where the antimicrobial composition is applied to a food product, the food product is packaged and sealed, and then activation energy is applied to the sealed food product.
OXYGEN UPTAKE COMPOSITIONS AND PRESERVATION OF OXYGEN PERISHABLE GOODS
The preservation or extension of the life of oxygen perishable products such as fresh or cooked meats; fresh vegetables and fruits; dried vegetables, fruits and meats; packaged pharmaceuticals or biologicals; open and enclosed marketing display cases of meats, fruits and vegetables; and packaging, warehousing and transportation of meats, fruits, and vegetables is obtained by subjecting such products to an atmosphere obtained from gas permeable packets of an oxygen scavenging composition comprising a sodium carbonate mineral and one or more carboxylic acids. When the environment surrounding the oxygen perishable product is subjected to the packets of gaseous permeable oxygen scavenging compositions, oxygen is taken in by the scavenging composition and also the presence of carbon dioxide in the surrounding environment is enhanced thereby minimizing or eliminating the effect the oxygen on the oxygen perishable products.
STABILIZED HYPOHALOUS ACID SOLUTIONS
The present invention provides a stabilized hypohalous acid solution (or formulation thereof), which may be conveniently packaged for sale, or stored for later use on demand. The invention further provides methods of making the stabilized hypohalous acid solution, as well as methods of use for disinfecting mammalian tissue, including wounds and burns, disinfecting or cleansing surfaces, or treating and/or preserving food products and cut flowers, among other uses.
USE OF METAL COMPLEXES WHICH ARE MIMETICS OF SOD AS FOOD AGENTS AND AS COSMETICS
This invention relates to the use of the metal complexes which are mimetics of the superoxide dismutase (SOD) enzyme produced from macrocyclic polyazapyridinophane compounds of formula (1) as food agents and also as cosmetics.
