Reference denture alignment jig, kit for preparing dentures, and method for preparing dentures using same
Provided is a reference denture alignment jig which guides reference dentures into an oral cavity or to an articulator in which upper and lower edentulous jaw models are fixed, and aligns the reference dentures in the oral cavity or in the articulator in which upper and lower edentulous jaw models are fixed, the jig having a reference denture holding portion for holding reference dentures.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SHAPING A TOOTH
Disclosed herein is a mountable dental device for shaping a tooth of a subject. The device includes: (i) an anchoring member configured to be removably affixed to a jaw of a subject by securing thereof to one or more teeth of the subject, and (ii) a computerized numerical control (CNC) machine fixedly mounted or mountable on the anchoring member. The CNC machine is configured to have installed thereon and maneuver a dental turbine. When the anchoring member is affixed to the jaw, the device is supported by the subject. The anchoring member is adjustable such as to allow the affixing thereof to jaws of different subjects. The CNC machine is configured to control operation of the dental turbine in at least one dental tooth-shaping procedure on at least one tooth of the subject.
Dental composite material and mill blanks consisting of said composite material
A polymerisable dental composite material comprising (i) 70 to 85% by weight of an inorganic filler component comprising at least one dental glass and optionally at least one amorphous metal oxide, (ii) 10 to 30% by weight of a mixture of at least two different urethane(meth)acrylates, (iii) 0.01 to 5% by weight of at least one di-, tri-, tetra- or multi-functional monomer not being a urethane(meth)acrylate, (iv) 0.01 to 10% by weight of at least one initiator, of an initiator system and optionally of at least one stabilizer and optionally of at least one pigment, wherein the total composition of the composite material amounts to 100% by weight, as well as a polymerized composite material having a flexural strength of greater than or equal to 200 MPa and an elastic modulus of 15 to 20 GPa for the production of indirect dentures.
Bone-mounted dental arch veneers and methods for fabricating and utilizing the same
Bone-secured dental arch veneers and methods for fabricating and utilizing the same. The dental arch veneers include a veneer assembly having one or more tooth veneers and a support structure configured to support the tooth veneer(s). The dental arch veneers also include a coupling structure configured to interconnect the veneer assembly to a bone mount that is anchored along a user's maxilla or mandible. The coupling structure also is configured to permit the veneer assembly to be selectively and repeatedly interconnected with and disconnected from the bone mount. The methods include determining a target region within the user's mouth, obtaining a representation of the target region, manipulating the representation to create a desired arrangement of the user's teeth within the target region, determining anchoring positions proximate the target region for anchoring the bone mount, and forming the dental arch veneer based on the anchoring positions and the desired arrangement.
Compositions and methods for adhesion to surfaces
The present disclosure features adhesive compositions and methods of use thereof related to the medical, veterinary, and dental fields.
Systems for providing feedback data useful in dental procedures
An intraoral scanning system for scanning an intraoral dental structure of a patient in a dental procedure may include an intraoral scanner and one or more processors coupled to the intraoral scanner and programmed with instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the intraoral scanning system to build a 3D model of the intraoral dental structure of the patient based on scan data acquired via the intraoral scanner and output feedback on a display. The feedback may include highlighting a portion of the 3D model that includes scan data that includes a finish line of the intraoral dental structure, wherein the scan indicates that the finish line is not suitable for receiving a prosthetic.
Multi-unit dental assembly with off-axis feature
A dental assembly includes a prosthesis having a base and a plurality of artificial teeth, and at least one connecting element coupled to the prosthesis and configured to facilitate coupling of the dental assembly to a patient's oral cavity. The at least one connecting element includes a cylinder with a body having a first end, a second end, and a passageway extending between the first and second ends. The connecting element further includes an opening through a sidewall of the cylinder that is open to the passageway. The slot allows access to a fixation screw positioned in the cylinder from a direction that is angled relative to an axis of the cylinder. A method of making a dental assembly is also disclosed.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING FEEDBACK DATA USEFUL IN PROSTHODONTIC PROCEDURES ASSOCIATED WITH THE INTRA ORAL CAVITY
Feedback data useful in prosthodontic procedures associated with the intra oral cavity is provided. First, a 3D numerical model of the target zone in the intra oral cavity is provided, and this is manipulated so as to extract particular data that may be useful in a particular procedure, for example data relating to the finish line or to the shape and size of a preparation. The relationship between this data and the procedure is then determined, for example the clearance between the preparation and the intended crown. Feedback data, indicative of this relationship, is then generated, for example whether the preparation geometry is adequate for the particular type of prosthesis.
Mounting element for production of a dental prosthesis, a prosthesis and method of manufacturing same
A mounting element for a dental prosthesis, the prosthesis including at least one bridge, the mounting element and prosthesis being formed using 3D printing, where the mounting element has an axis of elongation and comprises an engagement portion, for fixedly engaging the prosthesis and an attachment portion, for enabling secure attachment of the prosthesis to the jig during machining, the mounting element further comprises a registration portion for aligning, in use, the prosthesis in a precise position and/or orientation on a jig during machining, the registration portion comprises a tapering portion having a conically tapering outer surface.
