USING VIRTUAL NETWORKING DEVICES TO MANAGE ROUTING INFORMATION

Techniques are described for providing managed virtual computer networks that have a configured logical network topology with virtual networking devices, such as by a network-accessible configurable network service, with corresponding networking functionality provided for communications between multiple computing nodes of the virtual computer network by emulating functionality that would be provided by the virtual networking devices if they were physically present. In some situations, the networking functionality provided for a managed computer network of a client includes receiving routing communications directed to the virtual networking devices and using included routing cost information to update the configuration of the managed computer network, and/or includes determining actual cost information corresponding to use of an underlying substrate network and providing routing cost information to the client that reflects the determined actual cost information, so as to enable the client to modify the configuration of the managed computer network accordingly.

Systems and related methods include node directed management of multicast traffic within a wireless mesh network. A wireless mesh network may include a plurality of mesh nodes and a central server in communication with at least one of the mesh nodes of the plurality of mesh nodes. The central server may be configured to generate one or more rules for at least one of the mesh nodes to instruct a change in a pre-routing parameter in a packet header based on received channel state information. The central server may include a rules-based engine configured to generate and convey one or more traffic shaping rules in response to sensing traffic conditions. The position of received multicast packets in a packet order may be modified.

PROBING AVAILABLE BANDWIDTH ALONG A NETWORK PATH
20180013587 · 2018-01-11 ·

In one embodiment, a time period is identified in which probe packets are to be sent along a path in a network based on predicted user traffic along the path. The probe packets are then sent during the identified time period along the path. Conditions of the network path are monitored during the time period. The rate at which the packets are sent during the time period is dynamically adjusted based on the monitored conditions. Results of the monitored conditions are collected, to determine an available bandwidth limit along the path.

Network plugin for multiple network interfaces

A new host is detected being added to a network cluster, wherein each of a plurality of hosts are on the network cluster. Available interfaces on each of the plurality of hosts on the network cluster are detected responsive to detecting the new host being added. A classless inter-domain routing (CIDR) range is calculated for hosts and interfaces on the network cluster using the available interfaces. Pod routes with interface range and L3 host routes are set for each host.

Cloud Process for Rapid Data Investigation and Data Integrity Analysis

A system and method for rapid data investigation and data integrity analysis is disclosed. A data set is received by a server computer from one or more client computers connected with the server computer via a communications network, and the data set is stored in a distributed storage memory. One or more analytical processes are executed on the data set from the distributed storage memory to generate statistics based on each of the analytical processes, and the statistics are stored in a random access memory, the random access memory being accessible by one or more compute nodes, which generate a graphical representation of at least some statistics stored in the random access memory. The graphical representation of at least some statistics is then formatted for transmission to and display by the one or more client computers.

Dynamic outroute load balancing and multicast

An apparatus, system, and method for balancing traffic loads on beam outroutes that contain both multicast and unicast traffic. An outroute is designated for supplying at least multicast traffic within a beam of a satellite communication system. Terminals interested in receiving the multicast traffic are moved to the designated outroute. Traffic loads on all outroutes within the beam, including the designated outroute, are compared to determine if variations in the traffic loads exceed a predetermined threshold. A load balancing routine is performed to redistribute the traffic loads on all outroutes, while excluding any terminal that is actively receiving the multicast traffic from the load balancing routine.

Methods, systems, and computer readable media for generating and using a web page classification model are disclosed. The method may include identifying a plurality of web pages for generating a web page classification model, assigning a label to each of the plurality of web pages, accessing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) traffic traces associated with downloading content from each of the plurality of web pages, processing TCP/IP headers from the TCP/IP traffic traces to identify and extract features that discriminate between the labels, that are uncorrelated and whose discriminatory accuracy remains stable across time and/or browser platform.
