BATTERY SUBMODULE CARRIER, BATTERY SUBMODULE, BATTERY SYSTEM AND VEHICLE
A battery submodule carrier includes a monolithic cell tray configured to accommodate a plurality of aligned battery cells; a plurality of cell retainers configured to retain the battery cells within the cell tray; and a plurality of tray fasteners configured to mount the cell tray to a battery system carrier.
BATTERIES FOR USE IN IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICES
Multi-cell battery packs can be made safer with certain features that mitigate the consequences of cell failure. Parameters of a cell are monitored to determine when the cell should be disconnected from the pack in case of a fault. The battery is reconfigured to continue operating in a safer mode. An over-charging prevention system reduces the maximum voltage that remaining battery pack can be charged to, so that the cells do not overcharge. Additional circuitry allows the disconnected cell to be periodically reconnected to the battery pack to determine if its conditions have sufficiently improved. The cells also include components for self-powering these cell functions while it is disconnected from the rest of the circuit.
BATTERY PACKAGE, ASSEMBLED BATTERY, AND BATTERY DEVICE
The present invention provides a battery package used in an assembled battery, which can miniaturize the assembled battery and can impart sufficient durability; an assembled battery which can be miniaturized and have sufficient durability by provision with the relevant battery package; and a battery device provided with the relevant assembled battery.
ELECTRIC POWER STORAGE DEVICE
A rechargeable battery is provided with a pressure release valve and a current interruption mechanism. The current interruption mechanism includes a deformation plate. When the internal pressure of the case reaches an interruption activation pressure, the deformation plate receives the internal pressure and is deformed to break a conducting portion. In the current interruption mechanism, a pressure that is set for maintaining the sealing at the contact portion between the deformation plate and a negative electrode conductor is defined as a sealing portion withstanding pressure, and the pressure that is set for maintaining the shape of the case is defined as a case withstanding pressure. The pressure for activating the pressure release valve is defined as a valve activation pressure. In this case, the sealing portion withstanding pressure and the valve activation pressure are set higher than the interruption activation pressure and lower than the case withstanding pressure.
ELECTRODE MANUFACTURING METHOD, ELECTRODE, AND SECONDARY BATTERY
A method for manufacturing an electrode having a laminated body including an insulating layer laminated on an electrode active material layer, said method comprising: a step of laminating an insulating layer on an electrode active material layer formed on a base, such that a thickness value of the insulating layer is at least twice a surface roughness Rz value of the electrode active material layer, the surface roughness Rz value being a ten point average roughness as measured in accordance with JIS B0601 1994.
BATTERY PACK
Disclosed is a battery pack which has a simple structure, small volume and weight, and efficient cooling performance. The battery pack includes a module assembly including a plurality of secondary batteries, and a plurality of cartridges configured to be stacked with each other and surround an outer circumference of the secondary batteries at an outer side, the plurality of cartridges being at least partially made of thermally-conductive material; and a pack case having an empty space therein to accommodate the module assembly and at least partially made of thermally-conductive material to discharge heat of the module assembly.
ALL SOLID STATE LITHIUM BATTERY
Provided is an all-solid-state lithium battery including an oriented positive electrode plate composed of an oriented polycrystalline body made of lithium transition metal oxide grains, a solid electrolyte layer, a negative electrode layer, and an end insulator insulating and coating ends of the oriented positive electrode plate. The surface of the end insulator and the surface of the oriented positive electrode plate adjacent the solid electrolyte layer form one continuous surface no step exists. Alternatively, the height of the surface of the end insulator adjacent the solid electrolyte layer is lower than that of the surface of the oriented positive electrode plate adjacent the solid electrolyte layer to form a discontinuous surface with proviso that a step between the end insulator and the surface of the oriented positive electrode plate adjacent the solid electrolyte layer is smaller than the thickness of the solid electrolyte layer.
SECONDARY BATTERY
A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly, and a laminate exterior case accommodating the electrode assembly, the laminate exterior case including a pair of long side curve portions spaced apart from each other, a pair of short side curve portions spaced apart from each other, curvature radii of the long side curve portions being larger than those of the short side curve portions, and corner curve portions between respective long side curve portions and short side curve portions.
BENDABLE, CREASABLE, AND PRINTABLE BATTERIES WITH ENHANCED SAFETY AND HIGH TEMPERTURE STABILITY - METHODS OF FABRICATION, AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A composite electrode. The composite electrode including an active material, a conductive additive, a binder, and a solvent. The composite electrode may be cast or printed.
GASKET AND FUEL CELL
A gasket is arranged between a fastening portion of an end plate arranged at an end in a cell stacking direction of a cell stack of a fuel cell and a case covering a periphery of the cell stack. The gasket is configured to seal a gap between the fastening portion and the gasket and a gap between the case and the gasket. The gasket includes a base plate and an elastic material layer. The base plate has a slope section that connects an inner peripheral section and an outer peripheral section to each other. The inner peripheral section and the outer peripheral section are located at different positions in a thickness direction of the base plate. The slope section is inclined with respect to the inner peripheral section and the outer peripheral section.
