The lithium ion battery includes a battery housing, a battery cover assembled to the battery housing, a pressure relief valve coupled to the battery housing and/or battery cover, and a safety device formed on the housing and/or battery cover and fixed to the pressure relief valve. The safety device includes a shielding plate facing the pressure relief valve, a side wall and an air flow channel structure. The side wall extends from the shielding plate and connects with the battery housing or the battery cover. The air flow channel structure is defined in the side wall.
Battery module having ring terminal guide
Disclosed herein is a battery module having a plurality of unit cells that can be charged and discharged, the battery module including busbars for electrically interconnecting the unit cells, ring terminals connected to electrical connection portions of the unit cells for measuring voltages of the unit cells, and a busbar mounting member mounted at an outer surface of the battery module corresponding to the electrical connection portions of the unit cells, the busbar mounting member including ring terminal guides for preventing rotation of the ring terminals.
Sealing body for sealed battery and sealed battery
A sealing body according to the present invention is sealing body for a sealed battery including conductive terminal cap, a conductive explosion-proof valve electrically connected to the terminal cap, a conductive terminal plate having an abutting surface abutting the explosion-proof valve, and an insulating plate disposed between the explosion-proof valve and the terminal plate. A welded part between the explosion-proof valve and the terminal plate is formed in the inner part of the abutting surface, and the plan-view shape of the welded part is a shape defining an enclosed region, a C-shape, or a spiral shape. A notch part surrounding the welded part is formed in the terminal plate. The breaking pressure of the welded part is higher than the breaking pressure of the notch part.
Battery, electronic device, electric vehicle, electrical storage device, electrical storage system and wearable terminal
A battery is provided including a battery cell having main top and bottom surfaces, and a plurality of side surfaces; and at least one resin section including a cured resin that covers at least three of the plurality of side surfaces of the battery cell, but that does not cover substantially all of the top and bottom surfaces of the battery cell.
Cathode for thin film microbattery
A battery comprising an anode comprising anode material in contact with a metal anode current collector. The battery further comprises a cathode comprising cathode material in contact with a cathode current collector comprising a transparent conducting oxide (TCO). The battery further comprises an electrolyte with a pH in a range of 3 to 7.
POUCH-TYPE SECONDARY BATTERY
The present invention provides a pouch-type secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly having, repeatedly stacked therein, unit cells comprising a positive plate, a negative plate, and a separator positioned between the positive and negative plates, wherein the positive plate and negative plate are respectively provided with a positive electrode tab and a negative electrode tab, and the positive and negative electrode tabs each converge in a predetermined direction; and a pouch case for sealing the electrode assembly, the pouch-type secondary battery being characterized by taping in contact with the outer circumferential surface of the electrode assembly along the stacking thickness direction of the electrode assembly, at the end of the electrode assembly at the part where the tabs converge, thereby improving the safety of the pouch-type secondary battery.
Multicavity Battery Module
A battery module includes a battery module housing that defines an interior space. The battery module housing includes at least one interior wall that segregates the interior space into at least two cavities. The battery module housing and the at least one interior wall are formed of a flexible laminate material, and an electrochemical cell is disposed in one of the at least two cavities. The cell may include a housing formed of a flexible laminate material, or alternatively may be housing-free.
BATTERY MODULE COMPRISING CARTRIDGE HAVING GRIPPING PART
A battery module having a plurality of battery cells electrically connected to each other is disclosed. The battery module includes a plurality of cartridges, each of which includes a frame member, to opposite sides of which battery cells are mounted, each of the cartridges being provided at corners thereof with fastening parts, through which adjacent cartridges are coupled to each other in order to constitute a cartridge assembly, a pair of end plates mounted to opposite side surfaces of the cartridge assembly so as to cover outermost cartridges, and a busbar assembly mounted to one surface of the cartridge assembly, the busbar assembly including busbars for electrical connection between electrode terminals of the battery cells, wherein each of the cartridges is configured such that a cooling fin, with opposite surfaces of which the battery cells are in contact for thermal conduction, is mounted to the middle part of the cartridge, when viewed in vertical section, one end of the cooling fin being exposed outward from the cartridge, and gripping parts for mounting the battery cells in position are formed on the inner surface of the frame member of the cartridge.
BATTERY
A battery includes a first power generation element, a first outer cover body which encloses the first power generation element, and a first planar electrode having, as principal surfaces, a first connecting surface and a first protruding surface opposite the first connecting surface. The first connecting surface is electrically connected to the first power generation element. The first outer cover body includes a first covering portion provided with a first opening. The first protruding surface protrudes from the first opening toward an outside of the first covering portion. The first covering portion is joined to at least one of the first planar electrode and the first power generation element.
