A battery includes a positive electrode lead having a first lead half body, a second lead half body, and a PTC thermistor, the first and second lead half bodies overlap end portions formed in a portion where the first and second lead half bodies overlap with each other, the overlap end portions being larger than the PTC thermistor as viewed from a plane and being in contact with the PTC thermistor, the PTC thermistor is fitted in a fitting recessed portion formed in the overlap end portion of the first lead half body, and an exposed portion of the PTC thermistor is covered with a protective material.
Rechargeable battery
An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a rechargeable battery with an external short-circuit part having an advantage of preventing foreign materials and moisture from the outside from permeating as well as discharging internal pressure when a membrane is inversely deformed. A rechargeable battery according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a case for accommodating an electrode assembly; a cap plate for sealing an opening of the case; a first electrode terminal and a second electrode terminal provided to penetrate the cap plate so as to be electrically connected to the electrode assembly; and an external short-circuit part electrically separating or short-circuiting the first and second electrode terminals outside of the electrode assembly. The external short-circuit part includes a membrane for sealing a short-circuit hole formed in the cap plate.
Current interruption device and electric storage device
A current interruption device disclosed in the present specification includes: a first conductive member and a second conductive member that are facing each other; an insulating seal member disposed therebetween; and an insulating cover accommodating the first conductive member, the second conductive member, and the seal member. The seal member separates a space between the first and second conductive members into an inner space and an outer space which communicates with the space within the casing. In a plan view, the seal member is positioned in an entire area outside of contact portions of the seal member with the first and second conductive members within a range where the first and second conductive members are facing each other. The cover is disposed along outer circumferential edges of the first and second conductive members, and the seal member is in contact with the cover.
Rechargeable battery having fuse unit
A rechargeable battery includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode and a second electrode, a case configured to receive the electrode assembly, a first current collecting member including a first fuse unit coupled to the first electrode and having a cross-sectional area that is smaller than a cross-sectional area of a periphery of the first current collecting member, and a second current collecting member including a second fuse unit coupled to the second electrode and having a cross-sectional area that is smaller than a cross-sectional area of a periphery of the second current collecting member, in which the first fuse unit is configured to melt more quickly than the second fuse unit at a first current, and the second fuse unit is configured to melt more quickly than the first fuse unit at a second current that is lower than the first current.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING POWER STORAGE DEVICE
An object is to prevent deterioration of a battery or to prevent decrease in capacity in storage so as to maximize the charge and discharge performance of the battery and maintain the charge and discharge performance of the battery for a long time. A third electrode or a fourth electrode is provided between a positive electrode and a negative electrode of a secondary battery and a signal (current, voltage, or the like) for inhibiting self-discharge is applied to the third electrode or the fourth electrode, whereby a potential difference between the third electrode and the positive electrode or a potential difference between the third electrode and the negative electrode is adjusted and a chemical reaction in the secondary battery is controlled.
POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM HAVING WIRELESS SECURITY MODULE FOR VEHICLES
A power supply system having a wireless security module for vehicles is provided. The power supply system comprises a battery module, a power management module, an energy management module and the wireless security module. The battery module powers a starting motor of a vehicle. The power management module is used to receive a power from a power generating device. The power management module transmits the power of the power generating device into the battery module. The power management module comprises a monitoring unit and a controlling unit. The monitoring unit is used to monitor a voltage value of the battery module. When the voltage value monitored is equal to a minimum setting, the power management module is used to prevent the battery module from powering the starting motor. When the voltage value monitored is equal to a maximum setting, the power management module stops powering the battery module. The controlling unit is used to control a current value outputted from the battery module. Furthermore, when the voltage value of the battery module is equal to the maximum setting, the energy management module is used to receive a power from the power generating device.
