Context-aware image compression
In one embodiment, an apparatus comprises a storage device and a processor. The storage device may store a plurality of compressed images comprising one or more compressed master images and one or more compressed slave images. The processor may: identify an uncompressed image; access context information associated with the uncompressed image and the one or more compressed master images; determine, based on the context information, whether the uncompressed image is associated with a corresponding master image; upon a determination that the uncompressed image is associated with the corresponding master image, compress the uncompressed image into a corresponding compressed image with reference to the corresponding master image; upon a determination that the uncompressed image is not associated with the corresponding master image, compress the uncompressed image into the corresponding compressed image without reference to the one or more compressed master images; and store the corresponding compressed image on the storage device.
Data element profiles and overrides for dynamic optical character recognition based data extraction
A method for dynamic optical character recognition based data extraction includes: analyzing an image; detecting a first identifier associated with a first content type in an image; providing a first data extraction model for the first content type, the first data extraction model including definitions for a plurality of data types; performing an optical character recognition pass on the image to identify a plurality of characters of the image; and extracting a set of data elements from the image based on the first data extraction model and the plurality of characters of the image identified by performing the optical character recognition pass on the image.
METHODS FOR OPTICAL CHARACTER RECOGNITION (OCR)
A method is provided for Optical Character Recognition (OCR). A plurality of OCR decoding results each having a plurality of positions is obtained from capturing and decoding a plurality of images of the same one or more OCR characters. A recognized character in each OCR decoding result is compared with the recognized character that occupies an identical position in each of the other OCR decoding results. A number of occurrences that each particular recognized character occupies the identical position in the plurality of OCR decoding results is calculated. An individual confidence score is assigned to each particular recognized character based on the number of occurrences, with a highest individual confidence score assigned to a particular recognized character having the greatest number of occurrences. Determining which particular recognized character has been assigned the highest individual confidence score determines which particular recognized character comprises a presumptively valid character for the identical position.
Optical surveillance system
An optical surveillance system for detecting and tracking targets of interest is configured to capture optical data of a first region of the atmosphere at a first refresh rate and to capture optical data of a second region of the atmosphere at a second refresh rate that is different than the first refresh rate.
Sensor system based on stacked sensor layers
A sensor assembly for determining one or more features of a local area is presented herein. The sensor assembly includes a plurality of stacked sensor layers. A first sensor layer of the plurality of stacked sensor layers located on top of the sensor assembly includes an array of pixels. The top sensor layer can be configured to capture one or more images of light reflected from one or more objects in the local area. The sensor assembly further includes one or more sensor layers located beneath the top sensor layer. The one or more sensor layers can be configured to process data related to the captured one or more images. A plurality of sensor assemblies can be integrated into an artificial reality system, e.g., a head-mounted display.
CONSOLIDATION AND HISTORY RECORDING OF A PHYSICAL DISPLAY BOARD USING AN ONLINE TASK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A method, computer system, and computer program product for consolidating and recording elements on a physical display board is provided. The embodiment may include capturing an initial image of a visual display mechanism, whereby the initial image contains elements. The embodiment may also include determining an initial state of the visual display mechanism based on the captured image. The embodiment may further include recognizing characters of the elements in the initial state. The embodiment may also include capturing a subsequent image of the visual display mechanism, wherein an auditory cue is sent to a user when there is an unsuccessful attempt to capture the subsequent image. The embodiment may further include comparing the initial image and the subsequent image of the visual display mechanism. The embodiment may include identifying updates to the visual display mechanism based on the comparison of the initial image and the subsequent image.
AUTOMATED SURVEY RESULTS GENERATION FROM AN IMAGE
In one or more embodiments described herein, device, computer-implemented methods, and/or computer program products that facilitate automated survey results generation from an image are provided. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise an image capturing component that captures a first sample image. The computer executable components can further comprise an image processing component that processes the first sample image to determine a survey count, wherein the survey count indicates a number of times a survey image was identified in the first sample image. The computer executable components can further comprise an authentication component that adjusts the survey count based on detection of a discrepancy.
METHOD OF SELECTING IMPORTANT DIGITAL IMAGES
A method for selecting important digital images in a collection of digital images, comprising: analyzing the digital images in the collection of digital images to identify one or more sets of similar digital images; identifying one or more sets of similar digital images having the largest number of similar digital images; selecting one or more digital images from the identified largest sets of similar digital images to be important digital images; and storing an indication of the selected important digital image in a processor accessible memory.
SOLAR RADIOGRAPHY FOR NON-DESTRUCTIVE INSPECTION
The present disclosure provides for Non-Destructive Inspection of craft operating in high-atmosphere or outer space, by positioning a scintillating detector array leeward to a structural element of the craft relative to the Sun; collecting, by the detector array while the craft is in flight, solar radiation passing through the structural element; and outputting a radiographic image based on the solar radiation collected to an image analyzer. The image analyzer may composite several images taken over a period of time or decomposite images of intervening structural elements from the radiographic images. Automated alerts for non-conformances between the radiographic images and earlier-taken or architectural images are provided to users.
IMAGE PROCESSING METHODS AND DEVICES
A method for image processing includes: acquiring features of multiple images of a target object and a standard feature of the target object; and determining trusted images of the target object from the multiple images of the target object according to similarities between the features of the multiple images of the target object and the standard feature thereof, wherein similarities between features of the trusted images of the target object and the standard feature of the target object meet a preset similarity requirement. The image processing method may be applied to application scenarios such as image comparison, identity recognition, target object search, and similar target object determination.
