The bottom case includes a pull tab protruding to an outside of the bottom case.
BATTERY PACK
Disclosed is a battery pack comprising multiple secondary batteries and allowing a reduction in the number of components and an increase in cooling efficiency. Disclosed as an embodiment is a battery pack comprising: multiple battery cells, each comprising a first electrode and a second electrode formed opposite the first electrode; first tabs coupled to the first electrodes; second tabs connected to the second electrodes of the battery cells and formed so as to extend towards the areas in which the first tabs are positioned; and a cover which accommodates the battery cells, first tabs, and second tabs and from one side of which the first tabs and second tabs protrude, and bus bars electrically connected to the battery cells at the one side of the cover from which the first tabs and second tabs protrude.
Battery module printed circuit board assembly system and method
A battery module includes a housing, a plurality of battery cells disposed in the housing, and a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly disposed in the housing. The PCB assembly includes a PCB and a shunt disposed across a first surface of the PCB. A second surface of the shunt directly contacts the first surface of the PCB, and the shunt is electrically coupled between the battery cells and a terminal of the battery module.
Complex electrode assembly including plurality of electrode assemblies and electrochemical device comprising the complex electrode assembly
A complex electrode assembly includes a first sheet-type wiring which extends in a lengthwise direction of the first sheet-type wiring and comprises a sheet region of which a width that is perpendicular to the lengthwise direction is greater than a thickness that is perpendicular to the lengthwise direction and a width direction of the first sheet-type wiring, and electrode assemblies which are arranged separate from each other in the lengthwise direction of the first sheet-type wiring and are electrically connected to the first sheet-type wiring. The first sheet-type wiring may be disposed to face an outer surface of each of the electrode assemblies.
Electrode stack structure and battery having electrode stack structure
An electrode stack structure including a plurality of stacked electrode layers including electrode layers having multiple tabs, wherein the multiple tabs include a first tab connected to a first lead; and a second tab that is spaced apart from the first tab, and wherein second tabs of electrode layers having a same polarity are electrically connected to each other.
Cables and wires having conductive elements formed from improved aluminum-zirconium alloys
A conductive element of a cable or a wire is formed of an improved aluminum-zirconium alloy. The aluminum-zirconium alloy further includes an inoculant. The aluminum-zirconium alloy exhibits excellent ultimate tensile strength values and resistance to heat. Bonding wires formed from an improved aluminum-zirconium alloy exhibiting certain ultimate tensile strength values, fatigue resistance and/or creep rates are also described. Methods of forming cables and wires are also further disclosed.
Bipolar battery assembly
A bipolar battery including a) one or more stacks of battery plates assembled into electrochemical cells having i) one or more bipolar plates and ii) a first and second monopolar plate; b) a liquid electrolyte disposed between each pair of battery plates, wherein the liquid electrolyte functions with an anode and cathode pair to form an electrochemical cell; c) a separator located between the anode and the cathode of the electrochemical cell; and d) a membrane comprising a polymeric material disposed about an entire periphery of edges of the one or more stacks of battery plates so as to form a seal about the periphery of the edge of the battery plates, and wherein the seal prevents the liquid electrolyte from flowing outside of the one or more stacks of battery plates.
Battery module including a heat pipe positioned in proximity to a terminal component at a positive or negative terminal of the battery module
An embodiment is directed to a battery module, including a plurality of battery cell groups that are connected in series with each other, each of the plurality of battery cell groups including a plurality of battery cells that are connected to each other in parallel, a first terminal component at a first terminal of the battery module, the first terminal corresponding to either a positive terminal of the battery module or a negative terminal of the battery module, and a first heat pipe positioned in proximity to the first terminal component and configured to transfer heat away from the first terminal component.
Electrode assembly and polymer secondary battery cell including the same
An electrode assembly includes a cell stack part having (a) a structure in which one kind of radical unit is repeatedly disposed and has same number of electrodes and separators which are alternately disposed and integrally combined, or (b) a structure in which at least two kinds of radical units are disposed in a predetermined order, and an auxiliary unit disposed on at least one among an uppermost part or a lowermost part of the cell stack part. The one kind of radical unit of (a) has a four-layered structure in which a first electrode, a first separator, a second electrode and a second separator are sequentially stacked or a repeating structure in which the four-layered structure is repeatedly stacked, and each of the at least two kinds of radical units are stacked by ones in the predetermined order to form the four-layered structure or the repeating structure.
