Device for mixing and applying a compound produced by mixing two products
The present invention relates to a mixer and applicator device for mixing and applying a compound obtained by means of mixing two products which comprises: a casing which internally houses a movable push rod, where the casing allows housing a container which is fixed to the casing, a drill or rotor for driving the movable push rod, a base part coupled to a rear portion of the drill or rotor, at least one guide which is secured at a first end on the base part and at a second end on the casing where the ends of the at least one guide are fixed on the casing such that the at least one guide allows the fixing and rotation of the casing, and at least one member going through the at least one guide respectively such that the rotation of the casing does not take place in response to the actuation of the drill or rotor. As a result of this device it is possible, using the same device, to prepare a compound by means of mixing a base product and a catalyst and to further be able to dispense it without having to perform any disassembly or adaptation whatsoever in the container or in the means used for the mixing.
METHOD OF OPERATING A BATCH MIXER AND BATCH MIXER FOR PERFORMING THE METHOD
The invention provides a method of operating a batch mixer for producing first and second numbers of mixtures from first and second numbers of batches of materials to be mixed in the batch mixer, the batch mixer comprising a mixing chamber, a mixing element disposed within the mixing chamber, the mixing element and the mixing chamber being configured for providing an identical flow of the materials to be mixed within the mixing chamber and around the mixing element regardless of in which of the first and second opposite directions the mixing element is rotated, and a motor assembly coupled to the mixing element for rotating the mixing element for mixing the first and second numbers of batches of materials to be mixed for producing the first and second numbers of mixtures. The method comprises the steps of energizing said motor assembly for rotating said mixing element in said first direction, for each one of the first number of batches of the materials to be mixed: loading the one of the first number of batches of materials to be mixed into the mixing chamber, mixing the one of the first number of batches of materials for producing one of the first number of mixtures, and removing the one of the first number of mixtures from the mixing chamber, energizing the motor assembly for rotating the mixing element in the second direction, and for each one of the second number of batches of the materials to be mixed loading the one of the second number of batches of materials to be mixed into the mixing chamber, mixing the one of the second number of batches of materials for producing one of the second number of mixtures, and removing the one of the second number of mixtures from the mixing chamber.
System for Preparing Solutions for Chromatography
A system for preparing solutions for chromatography application is disclosed. The system comprises a T-joint for preparing a buffer solution by mixing at least one first solution and a second solution. The T-joint receives the second solution from a solution supply unit connected to the T-joint. Further one or more low pressure pumps supply the one or more first solutions into the T-joint. The high pressure pump collects the buffer solution and delivers it to a chromatography apparatus.
Dispensing apparatus for a multi-component mass
A dispensing apparatus simultaneous discharges at least two flowable components of a multi-component mass from different storage volumes. The dispensing apparatus includes a passive mixing unit having a central mixing passage extending along a flow direction and being configured to guide the components mixed with one another, and including at least two inlets opening into the central mixing passage, the inlets being associated with the same storage volume and open into the mixing passage at different positions along the flow direction.
PERSONAL FORMULATION DEVICE
A personal formulation device for mixing and dispensing customized formulations from ingredient reservoirs carried by the device. The device may include a plurality of miniaturized progressive pumps with a flexible coupling between the motor and the pump. The coupling may include a spring (40). The device may include a spacer sleeve (62) having an internal diameter tapered to closely follow the motion envelope of the spring (40). Each pump may include a retainer (60) that is threaded into the interior of the pump body (52) to retain the spacer sleeve (62) and the drive end (120) of the rotor (34). Each pump may include a stator with an integrated flange seal (36). The flange seal (36) may extend around the circumference of the stator and be sandwiched between portions of the pump body (52). The stator may have a noncircular shape that keys the stator within the pump body. The pump may include an optical metering system.
FLUID INJECTION USING ACOUSTIC WAVES
The present invention generally relates to the manipulation of fluids using acoustic waves such as surface acoustic waves. In some aspects, one fluid may be introduced into another fluid via application of suitable acoustic waves. For example, a fluid may be added or injected into another fluid by applying acoustic waves where, in the absence of the acoustic waves, the fluid cannot be added or injected, e.g., due to the interface or surface tension between the fluids. Thus, for example, a fluid may be injected into a droplet of another fluid. Other embodiments of the invention are generally directed to systems and methods for making or using such systems, kits involving such systems, or the like.
EMULSION MATRIX GROUND STATION WITH INTRINSIC SAFETY
Provided is an emulsion matrix ground station with intrinsic safety, which relates to the technical field of emulsion matrix preparation process and apparatus of mobile ground auxiliary equipment in civil explosive industry. The emulsion matrix ground station may include a water phase tank, an oil phase tank, a water phase pump, an oil phase pump and a static emulsification device. The water phase pump may have an inlet connected to an outlet of the water phase tank by a pipeline, and an outlet connected to a water phase inlet of the static emulsification device by a pipeline. The oil phase pump may have an inlet connected to an outlet of the oil phase tank by a pipeline, and an outlet connected to an oil phase inlet of the static emulsification device by a pipeline.
