Outage Compensation in a Cellular Network
The invention comprises a method for controlling an outage of a network element (300) in a cellular network (40) using an outage database (130), the outage database containing for each of a plurality of the network elements (300) controlled by the cellular network at least the following network element dependent information: first operating parameters describing an error free operation of the corresponding network element, outage detection rules indicating when a outage for the corresponding network element is present, outage compensation rules indicating how the outage of the corresponding network element should be compensated, the outage compensation rules including compensation parameters to be used by compensating network elements (300b-300g) in order to compensate the outage of one of the network elements (300a). The method comprises the steps of: continuously receiving current operating parameters for a plurality of network elements (300), updating the first operating parameters and the outage detection rules for the plurality of network elements taking into account the current operating parameters, detecting an outage for one of the network elements by comparing the received current operating parameters to the outage detection rules for said one network element, wherein if an outage is detected for said one network element, determining and applying the outage compensation rules for said one network element (300a), wherein applying the compensation rules includes optimizing the compensation parameters in order to calculate optimized operating parameters for the compensating network elements (300b-300g) used to compensate for the outage of said one network element, evaluating the application of the compensation rules, and storing the optimized operating parameters in the compensation rules as starting parameters for a future optimization of the compensation parameters in case of an outage of said one network element in dependence on the evaluation.
Systems and methods for automated verification and reconfiguration of disconnected network devices
Systems and methods of disconnecting a network service provided over a network service path include using a computing device that obtains a service identifier assigned to network service and identifies a port of a network device included in a network service path associated with the service. The computing device transmits a request to the network device for port configuration data of the network device and based on the received port configuration data, determines whether the port is assigned to the network service. If so, the computing devices executes a remediation operation which includes transmitting a reconfiguration command to the network device that is adapted to cause the network device to update the port configuration data to free the port.
Emergency services routing proxy cluster management
Systems and methods for clustering emergency services routing proxies are provided. The described features allow a group of ESRPs running as individual servers or a group of virtual servers, to be referenced using a single URI. In one implementation, an emergency services routing proxy device includes an emergency services routing proxy node configured to route a call to a downstream entity, the call received from an upstream entity. The device further includes a cluster manager configured to receive registration information from the emergency services routing proxy node, the registration information including a routing service identifier. The cluster manager may be further configured to identify the emergency services routing proxy node for call routing based on a comparison of an identifier included in the call with the routing service identifier.
Microservices application network control plane
Disclosed embodiments are directed at systems, methods, and architecture for operating a control plan of a microservices application. The control plane corresponds with data plane proxies associated with each of a plurality of APIs that make up the microservices application. The communication between the data plane proxies and the control plane enables automatic detection of service groups of APIs and automatic repair of application performance in real-time in response to degrading service node conditions.
Dynamic creation, deletion, and management of SCSI target virtual endpoints
Embodiments are described for systems and methods that facilitates dynamic configuration of NPIV virtual ports in a Fiber Channel network. A defined failure detection method in conjunction with certain SCSI target endpoint and NPIV definitions and monitor component operations allows SCSI target virtual endpoints to be dynamically created, deleted and managed during data migration and endpoint disable/enable operations in a backup storage appliance without incurring disruption of other virtual endpoints on the same appliance.
ENTITY EMBEDDING-BASED ANOMALY DETECTION FOR HETEROGENEOUS CATEGORICAL EVENTS
A system and method are provided. The system includes a processor. The processor is configured to receive a plurality of events from network devices, the plurality of events including entities that are involved in the plurality of events. The processor is further configured to embed the entities into a common latent space based on co-occurrence of the entities in the plurality of events and model respective pairs of the entities for compatibility according to the embedding of the entities to form a pairwise interaction for the respective pairs of the entities. The processor is additionally configured to weigh the pairwise interaction of different ones of the respective pairs of the entities based on one or more compatibility criterion to generate a probability of an occurrence of an anomaly and alter the configuration of one or more of the network devices based on the probability of the occurrence of the anomaly.
Remote cable access point reset
The system monitors a wireless device, detects when the device has failed or is not operating properly, and is able to remotely reset the device. The device may be reset remotely without a technician required to physically attend to the device. This out of band management allows for quicker, cheaper and more efficient handling of undesired states of a device, such as failure to operate. For a modem, the system may detect that the modem is not broadcasting a signal or is not communicating with the Internet or other network. The reset may be implemented through an access point in communication with the malfunctioning modem. For an access point, the system may detect that the access point is not communicating with a modem or another access point. The reset may be implemented by a neighboring access point or modem.
Circuit diagnostic manager
A device may receive health information associated with a network circuit included in an optical network. The device may determine, based on the health information and network circuit information associated with the network circuit, that the network circuit is experiencing a health issue. The device may identify a diagnostic technique to be applied to the network circuit based on determining that the network circuit is experiencing the health issue. The device may automatically and iteratively apply the identified diagnostic technique to the network circuit in order to identify a fault location. The device may determine a corrective action, associated with the network circuit, based on the fault location and the health issue. The device may provide information associated with the corrective action to cause the corrective action to be taken.
Mobile communication method and mobile station
In a state where a mobile station UE is communicating with a radio base station S-eNB supporting “extended PDCP-SN,” the mobile terminal continues communications even if it performs a reconnection procedure with a radio base station T-eNB not supporting “extended PDCP-SN.” A mobile communication method according to the invention includes the steps of, when detecting RLF in the bearer in the above-described state, the mobile station UE resetting setting of “extended PDCP-SN” and establishing a bearer using “conventional PDCP-SN” by performing a reconnection procedure with a radio base station T-eNB not supporting “extended PDCP-SN.”
ARBITRATION PROCESSING METHOD AFTER CLUSTER BRAIN SPLIT, QUORUM STORAGE APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
The present disclosure discloses an arbitration processing solution when brain split occurs in cluster. The solution includes: receiving, by a quorum storage apparatus within a first refresh packet detection period, first master quorum node preemption requests sent by at least two quorum nodes in the cluster; sending, by the quorum storage apparatus, a first master quorum node preemption success response message to the initial master quorum node indicating that the initial master quorum node succeeds in master quorum node preemption when the first master quorum node preemption requests received within the first refresh packet detection period comprise the master quorum node preemption request sent by the initial master quorum node.
