TEST SYSTEM FOR TESTING ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS BETWEEN COMPONENTS AND A PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD
A test system for testing electrical connections, especially soldered connections, between electronic components and a circuit board to be tested, characterized in that the test system has a communication interface, which by contacting the circuit board enables a data exchange with a data memory or a communication module of the circuit board to be tested, wherein the communication interface is arranged within a housing of the test system freely movably in at least two spatial directions, preferably three spatial directions.
MONITORING ACCESSES TO A REGION OF AN INTEGRATED CIRCUIT CHIP
An integrated circuit chip comprising: system circuitry comprising interconnect circuitry for transporting transactions; and monitoring circuitry configured to: monitor transactions from the interconnect circuitry comprising transactions between an entity and a specified region of the integrated circuit chip, the entity being associated with a set of one or more access rights for accessing the specified region of the integrated circuit chip; determine from the monitored transactions values of one or more parameters associated with the access to the specified region by the entity to identify whether the entity has breached its access rights; and perform a dedicated action indicative of a breach of the access rights in response to determining from the parameter values that the entity has breached its access rights.
CONNECTION DETECTION SYSTEM AND DETECTION METHOD THEREOF
A connection detection system and a connection detection method are provided. The connection detection system includes a connector, an expansion dock and a signal transmitter. The connector has a first detecting pin and a second detecting pin. The second detecting pin receives a first signal or a second signal from the first detecting pin when the expansion dock is connected to the connector. The signal transmitter is coupled to the connector. The signal transmitter is configured to receive a detection signal through the second detecting pin and determine whether the connector is connected to the expansion dock according to the sensing signal. The signal transmitter provides the first signal to the first detecting pin when the connector is not connected to the expansion dock. The signal transmitter provides the second signal to the second detecting pin when the connector is connected to the expansion dock.
AUTOMATED CAPTURE OF INFORMATION ABOUT FIXED CABLING
One embodiment is directed to detecting that a cable has been connected to a port of patching equipment and detecting that the cable is no longer connected to said port. In response to detecting that the cable is no longer connected, information associated with fixed cabling coupled to said port that is captured by a cable tester is downloaded to a controller. The downloaded information is associated with said port and the downloaded information and association information is locally stored at the controller. The locally stored information can then be used to create and/or populate objects in a database. Another embodiment is directed to including a storage device and a wireless interface in patching equipment or other equipment such as an outlet or consolidation point for use in writing information to the storage device and reading information from the storage device via the wireless interface. Other embodiments are disclosed.
VERIFICATION OF CABLE APPLICATION AND REDUCED LOAD CABLE REMOVAL IN POWER OVER COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS
In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a cable for transmitting power at a level exceeding 100 watts and data from power sourcing equipment to a powered device, and plugs at each end of the cable, each of the plugs comprising at least one resistor. Power capacity of the cable is identified at a port receiving one of the plugs based on the resistors.
VERIFICATION OF CABLE APPLICATION AND REDUCED LOAD CABLE REMOVAL IN POWER OVER COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS
In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a port for receiving a plug connected to one end of a cable with another plug connected to an opposite end of the cable for use in a Power over Ethernet system delivering power at a level exceeding 100 watts, an online removal button on a face of the port for use in indicating an intent to remove the plug from the port, and an online removal module for detecting activation of the online removal button and reducing power on the cable to at least 90 watts to prevent damage during removal of the cable.
Electronic Circuit with Connection Error Indication Function
An electrical outlet device includes a connection circuit having neutral, hot and ground terminals that are configured to be connected to a corresponding line of a power source. The device also includes an interface panel with a receptacle configured to receive a load. An indicator interface device is attached to the interface panel. The indicator interface device includes at least three sets of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and at least three switching circuits that are configured to turn the LED sets on and off. At least one combination of on/off states of the first, second and third LED sets indicates a correct connection or a unique type of error in a connection between the power source and the connection circuit.
Electrical connection validation scheme
In the modern world, electricity has become ubiquitous. Electrical connectors that connect and disconnect the electricity from the end use device have become important. If the connector has established a good quality contact across its mating conductors, there is no cause for concern. Also, if the connector has not established any contact with associated contacts being far away, then also there is no cause for a safety concern. However, when a connector has established marginal contact between the source and drain side contacts, and if the load and the source are switched on, the possibility of an arc across the thin layer of oxide separating the two contacts is high. This invention teaches a method to measure the quality of electrical connection established across an electrical connector. The method described here can be used to ascertain the quality of the connection before turning on the current across the connection.
Display device and method of testing the same
A display device and a method of testing the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the display device includes a first substrate including a display area and a non-display area arranged outside the display area. The display device also includes a bending area arranged in the non-display area, first and second signal lines arranged in the non-display area, and a first test pattern arranged between the first and second signal lines.
